There is no fix or remedy available for this recalled fuel problem. The recall and fuel pump replacement isn't available and is taking too long. There is hesitation due to this issue.
I am reporting a serious safety issue with my 2021 Ford F-150. This truck has already been subject to multiple recalls, yet the problems have continued. On several occasions while driving, the truck has suddenly shut off without warning, causing a complete loss of power while the vehicle is in motion. This has happened while my family and I were in the vehicle and has nearly resulted in a serious crash. Losing power in traffic without warning creates an extremely dangerous situation and has put my family’s lives at risk. A vehicle shutting off while being driven is a major safety hazard. Despite multiple visits for service and ongoing recall issues, the problem has not been resolved, and the truck continues to fail in a way that could easily lead to a catastrophic accident.
I've been having issues with the vehicle having a lag when accelerating. Upon leaving arizona and traveling to oklahoma I proceeded to pass a vehicle and upon accelerating there was a delay causing a near collision 3 different times. I've contacted the dealership and Ford corporation and they just keep pushing the issue off. 7 months and still no remedy for the fuel pump issue that they have a recall for. Their solution is for me to pay for parts and labor to have a new fuel pump installed which will not fix the problem because it will be the same style of pump that the recall is on and they want me to pay for it.
I own a 2021 Ford F-150 that is part of recall 25s75 for the low?pressure fuel pump. Ford announced this recall years ago, but there is still no fix or parts available. This is a safety issue because the fuel pump can fail and cause the truck to stall or not start. I rely on this vehicle, and it’s frustrating that there is still no remedy after all this time. Many other F-150 owners are reporting the same problem and also cannot get their trucks repaired. I am asking NHTSA to push Ford to release the repair and make parts available.
2021 Ford f150 powerboost hybrid. There is a lot of internet chatter and forum chatter about known issues with the following, and it recently almost led to a major and likely serious injury accident. Specific parameters: low speed (~5 mph) slow roll under internal combustion power, not battery in 2nd gear only when gas pedal is pressed vehicle does nothing. Does not respond. Two choices are to hammer the gas, or hit the breaks. Does two things, slams forward eventually after 3-4 second delay if gas pedal depressed or shifts down or into electric mode (internal combustion off) and then will once again go from first to third in normal acceleration progression and pace they must have an issue with the standard 1-3 skip programming with ice power and 2nd gear being a hang-up I almost got t boned by a semi truck due to this with family in car. This could have been deadly. It happens as an annoyance at least once per day but this one was scary. Online, and based on what I can find - Ford is aware of this issue as they have the 1-3-5 programming in the transmission but when it finds itself (due to real world driving conditions) in 2nd gear under internal combustion, it does not know what to do. I brought it to Ford last year in anchorage and they are attempting to blame it on normal hybrid system operation. That is not the case. It would be something that could be duplicated but with effort. A basic, simple test drive is not going to find this. They are aware of this being an issue. If you have any situation where you are rolling through, merging into traffic, or other scenario where you end up in 2 under ice you are in trouble. Dangerous, scary, and totally a manufacturer issue that is known and needs to be taken very seriously.
Due to waiting for a recall fix for ( NHTSA #-25v455 ) my f150 raptor has been having all listed failing issues, miss fire at idle or when fuel is hot, issue starting on a handful of times. I have been driving it after 4 -5k miles of this and I was alerted today after replacing ( all injectors, coils, spark plugs, etc ) that I may need a new engine. This could have caused a crash and is now costing me an entire engine due to no fix or parts availability. Thousands of dollars for a new engine out of my pocket due to fuel starvation. Cylinder 4 miss fire's at idle. They appeared once I returned home from the mountains back to texas with hot weather.
My vehicle loses power when turning into traffic, when stopping and taking off. There have been several close calls when pulling into traffic as my vehicle will stall out and won't accelerate causing traffic to have to swerve to miss hitting me. I am going to end up getting hit one of these days. Also, it is very dangerous on snow and ice. When trying to accelerate, it cuts out losing power. Keeping my foot on the accelerator, it will eventually get power amd take off unexpectedly and fast. This causes a hazardous issue as well. I have tried to get Ford to buy back the truck or trade for a different one but they refuse to do anything. This is my only transportation and I have to drive it. I am going to end up seriously injured or dying if my truck stalls out in traffic. I can't travel with my grandson because I would be risking his safety. Please make Ford company replace or buy back my truck and full loan pay off.
Recall #25s75 (low pressure fuel pump failure) was issued in July of 2025 and has still not been resolved as of this date (12/23/25). I am filing a formal complaint with NHTSA about Ford motor company not resolving this issue in a timely manner. This appears to be a pattern with fmc regarding recalls, two previous of which took almost a year to remedy.
The truck stalled while driving on back road in the middle of the night we thought it was pout of gas but we still had 100 miles 2nd night same thing but had 250 miles left 3rd day while hearting up in the morning it began to sputter and then quit will not restart now Ford does not seemed concerned nor will offer any help.
Guessing the date below truck shuts off when trying to take off and go. This has happened a few times and even pulling onto a main highway. This is a very dangerous situation, and I have contacted Ford and they have stated there is no fix for this. I have contacted carvana which is where I recently purchased the truck within the past month and they state the recall was listed and there's nothing they can do it's up to Ford to fix a recall. They will not take the truck back and now we are stuck paying for over $30,000 on this truck and it keeps stalling on us. We cannot afford for it to just sit in our yard and pay for it if it's not running. We need help to get this fixed. We have no idea what's causing it but assuming it could have everything to do with the open recall or the battery. That battery is over $4000 if we have to replace it. Another thing we noticed is the led lights on the headlights went out randomly and haven't come back on. Another very expensive fix for a truck we just purchased less than a month ago. We took the truck in the shop within the first few days of owning it due to a few issues we felt were not right like pulling to one side, feeling as if it were going over rutted areas on the roadways with a bump and jerk to it as well like it was a transmission issue. The insurance company with carvana choose the place to take it to and we dropped it off and the next day they called and stated nothing was found to be wrong with it and carvana knew we were out of return in time to replace it when they had us drop it off it was like another day.
Fuel pump went out while driving causing the vehicle to sputtering and so running while driving up a hill. Couldn't restart and stick in park that prevented it from being moved out of roadway. Vehicle had only 64000 miles but wasn't included in recent 2025 recall that covered other vehicles with the dave fuel pump issue.
In July 2025, I received Ford's recall notice stating that is it possible for fuel pressure and flow from the fuel tank to be reduced due to a fuel pump failure- the same condition that caused my breakdown on 11/5/2025 towing the vehicle to the dealer for repair. Because this repair occurred prior to the official recall repair availability, or remedy as is it referred to. The repair cost was deferred to us because there is no official remedy to the recall, and reimbursements are not being entertained until June of 2026.
I started smelling gas in the cabin of the truck when I came to a stop. As I was driving on the freeway I noticed my gas gauge going down rapidly. Within minutes I ran out of gas. Got the truck towed to Ford dealer. After diagnosing the issue I was made aware by Ford service department that one of the high pressure fuel injector cracked and was spraying gas out which caused me to run out of gas. With gas spraying in the engine I was at severe risk of a fire. No warning lights or messages appeared when this happened. After investigating I noticed Ford has a recall for this issue for other vehicles but not the F-150.
Low pressure fuel pump failure yes check engine light is on. Manufacture says there isn't a fix available yet and they have no idea when it will be available. My truck is missing and loosing fuel pressure. This is a 2021 truck and its now 2025. This needs to be fixed or another vehicle if they can't fix , but they have offered no solution.
Vehicle lost all power and stalled while driving. Vehicle also stalled at idle when waiting at an intersection, and another time while waiting at a stop sign. No longer starts. Appears to not be receiving fuel and is returning code p0627 "fuel pump a control circuit / open" and will crank but not start. Required towing back to my residence. Fordpass sent a "service engine soon warning" stating "the powertrain control system has detected an electrical fault with the fuel pump and its associated wiring". The symptoms match those in 25v455 but this VIN number is not listed in the affected group.
4 months after taking vehicle in for recall fixes, both recalls on vehicle have not been remediated due to parts not being available. No eta on availability and get a run around when asking for more info. Hub shaft recall stats that driving the vehicle with a broken hub bolt will wear shafts but no loaner was given so I have no choice but to drive vehicle with a broken bolt. Ford customer service told me its ok to drive the vehicle but never stated if they are replacing the entire rear end or just the parts listed on the recall. . What is dirving the vehicle ruins the splines on the shafts. Are they going to replace those as well?.
I was towing an empty horse trailer on [xxx]. I had left clemson, SC and although I had a half tank, because of my long trip I decided to top the tank off before I left. I had no issues on the drive until suddenly, on a hill, in the middle of a construction zone with barriers on both sides and no shoulders, I lost power, in what felt like the transmission had quit. There was no warning at all, no warning lamps, no messages, no suspicious sounds or behavior. The engine was still running, but very rough. I coasted to a stop and shut if off. I was blocking a lane of traffic, and immediately exited the vehicle through the passenger door because cars were not expecting a stalled vehicle and were narrowly missing hitting my trailer, which had hazard lights on. I ended up blocking a lane of traffic for 3 hours after waiting for the first tow truck which did not show up, and then waiting for another. The vehicle was towed to the nearest dealership. They have diagnosed the failure as the low pressure fuel pump related to recall 25s75. There is no Ford directed action to take in order to resolve the issue. The fuel pump will simply be replaced with another at this point. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
The truck hesitated at a section in the highway where it almost stalled out and I needed to cross over and almost got hit by on coming traffic. Also it has happened multiple times going down the highway the vehicle will start to stop and go it feels like the vehicle is going to stall out. This is very dangerous and I feel like this needs immediate attention.
My truck completely shut down while leaving the shop and I was only going about 6-10mph. The dash alert stated "fuel accessory" or something in orange, sorry, I panicked a little:) I took it to bradley Ford the next day and they couldn't fix it as they didn't know the issue. This happened a second time, but didn't shut off completely, it just felt like I was running out gas (full tank). I do live in lake havasu city, az and it's hot here so I don't let my truck go below 1/2 tank hoping this will help avoid a major accident. Thank you! julie burns 928-208-2867.
I was turning left from a side street onto a divided highway and stopped in the middle to wait for an opening in traffic. When one came I hit the gas and nothing happened. Pressed it again, to the floor and nothing happened. I then put the truck into reverse to back out of the way of traffic because the truck rolled forward a bit when I attempted to accelerate. I then waited for a very large opening and attempted to accelerate again. Pushed the pedal and again nothing. I then pressed it to the floor and held it there. The truck very slowly began to accelerate and then after about 20 seconds accelerated like normal. The truck seemed normal the rest of the way home.
Due to a defective door (cheap plastic pin), the check engine light comes on with associated warnings on the fuel door not being shut. It is shut but not locked due to the defective pin (I believe plastic) that interacts with the warning light and warning message.
Vehicle has completely unresponsive gas pedal for 3-5 seconds. Gas pedal is completely dead. This occurs randomly but mostly in a stop and start accelerating situation. Once the 3-5 seconds passes gas pedal responds normally. No codes generated during incident.
Ford motor company has issued a safety recall, identified by letter nef-107dg and recall number 24v-957, due to the potential failure of the cp4 fuel pump in certain vehicle models. The recall affects the following makes, models, and model years: Ford/f-250 sd (2020-2022), Ford/f-350 sd (2020-2022), Ford/f-450 sd (2020-2022), Ford/f-550 sd (2020-2022), Ford/f-600 sd (2020-2022), Ford/f-650 (2021-2022), and Ford/f-750 (2021-2022). This action addresses concerns that the cp4 pump may fail prematurely, potentially leading to engine stalling and increasing the risk of a crash. Notably, my 2021 Ford F-150 XLT with a 3. 0l diesel engine is equipped with the same cp4 fuel pump as the models listed above. As such, it should logically be included in this recall to ensure consistent safety measures and address the risks associated with this known defect.
After a right turn in a residential street, I pressed the accelerator to progress on the roadway. The truck did not accelerate, so I looked at the tachometer and observed it above 0 and below 1,000 rpm. The engine was running, but unresponsive despite pumping the accelerator. While rolling at 5 mph I shifted the transmission to neutral and continued pumping the accelerator. There was no response for the next 200'. Finally, the engine became responsive and ran normally. It runs normally now. I cannot reproduce this issue. I called the Ford dealer service on 8 November 24 at noon and they said "watch for the issue". I expressed that in traffic, a suddenly undependable engine is a serious concern. The accelerator/engine was unresponsive for a continued period of time. The gas engine was in control. There was no check light/warning light. The Ford dealer inspected the telemetry of the vehicle remotely and no anamolies were observed. The dealer declined to inspect the vehicle since the issue is not reproducible.
I've experienced the loss of power during hard acceleration. Right hand turns from a stop feel like the engine has stalled and rolling right hand turns are becoming increasingly more dangerous. Most recently as I was merging onto a highway. Pedal to the floor, the truck initi9ally accelerated for a couple seconds until it stalled to make the truck not only not accelerate but almost made it feel as if I was breaking. This is very dangerous.
Cruising highway speeds, when accelerator is pressed to gain speed, make a pass, ect the transmission downshifts into 3rd gear, engine losses all power for 4-8 seconds while accelerator is held down. I’ve almost been in several accidents due to expecting a vehicle to accelerate and nothing happening and traffic.
Despite having been told my truck was fixed at a dealer shop, my truck still displays an absence of forward propulsion when applying the gas pedal and trying to accelerate from slower speeds. This has happened when trying to make a left or right turn when there is oncoming traffic. Sometimes this happens while trying to accelerate on the on-ramp of a highway to get up to normal piste speed limits with traffic very fast behind me. The dealer I took it to said they fixed the issues. Luckily I can apply the manual mode with a button, but this is distracting when trying to look for the button, and the issue comes back in automatic mode.
While driving there were no warning indicator lights illuminated on the dash. He stated there were no mechanical defects, noises, or smells to be noted. Near milepost [xxx] on [xxx] both occupants saw smoke begin to come from under the hood. The employee pulled the vehicle to the side of the road. Both employees exited the vehicle to open the hood. Employee stated he reached down to pull the hood release and when he looked up flames were visible above the hood. Employees moved away from the vehicle and called 911.
Obdii reader which connect to vehicle ecm reads perfectly independently, however when connected to a state emissions inspection machine, machine indicates no vehicle information available and results in failures due to ecm not responsive. Ford says it is a known issue but will not replace ecm unless recall is issued.
Bought truck brand new. The axle bolt sheered off at 76k miles which is a common problem which Ford has issued a service bulletin for repair. Ford claims my truck is not drivable due to the manufacture defect of the bolt either being cross threaded or overtightened from the factory. Ford is insisting I pay for the mistake even though it's a manufacture defect with a service bulletin for a repair. Ford is refusing to pay for the fix due to miles. Axles, axle shafts and axle bolts should not have to be replaced before the differential fluid does in the axle at 100k miles. They are claiming the extreme premature wear is my fault. The truck is bone stock. Ford case #cas-43720120-d7h6y6. Worst part is Ford dealership telling me claim was denied to only find out Ford approved the claim partially. The Ford dealership was trying to double dip on profits. Dealership is wade Ford. Called up akins Ford in winder and they told me they would cover it.
For months have been having two issues with my 2021 f150 powerboost with the co2 sensors as well as an issue with the exhaust heat exchanger bypass valve a. Which after my bumper to bumper warranty expired now needs replaced even though the same issues have been throwing a cel for months.
Complete loss of the throttle while in an intersection. Was able to shut down vehicle, then wait about 30 seconds, then turn it back on clears issue. This has happened at least three times.
I have owned my 2021 f150 less than 2 weeks. I purchased the car with 200 mile on it. I was pulling out of a parking lot tonight and heard a clunk. 50 feet later the engine quit and there was a strong fuel smell and something was scraping on the pavement. We got out of the car and there was a big puddle of fuel under the vehicle. Upon further inspection, the front fuel tank bracket was unhooked from the right side and the front of the fuel tank was resting on the pavement. The fuel tube connection at the front of the gas tank was sheared off. We had the truck towed to anderson Ford in rockford, IL.
