Blue cruise cannot see thru my glasses at night and constantly disengages the cruise control. This is currently under a trial subscription and cannot be cancelled nor can you override this feature without disengaging lane departure or lane centering, both of which are “standard” features.

My truck has bluecruise technology. I have noted that the technology can be dangerous and drive me off the road, particularly in an area of an interstate I drive often. Each time I go through that area, it will drive me off the road if I don't catch it. Always in the same place and in the same way.

The Ford copilot 360 is not working on my f150 raptor the speed limit sign recognition has stopped working correctly some of the time. Vehicle is currently at the Ford dealership in palmyra pennsylvania. For he last 45 days as the dealership has been unable to fix the problem. My vehicle is still under the original 3 year 36k warranty. Purchased October 5th 2021 currently has 18k miles. Vehicle is not as safe as is compared to how it operated prior to an update performed at the dealership. . Not happy or as safe.

This 2021 f150 is equipped with Ford bluecruise. More than one time the truck has tried to leave the road while engaged. It also has a very dangerous trait - when the bluecruise is active and the system wants the driver to take control, the amount of force it takes to take control of the steering wheel often causes the truck to swirve to another lane of traffic. This is a huge saftey concern and has caused many near miss accidents at high speed, for me.
While in adaptive cruise and self driving the lightening, dangrously crosses lines and rides too close to the right side. This results in other drivers actively swerving off the road to avoid a collision as well as intervention by me. I have videos of all of the following occurring while operating the vehicle: 1. Riding and crossing the right line (white and dotted when passing) 2. Vehicle crossing the double center lines into oncoming traffic 3. Watch the road warning and cancelling of adaptive cruise even when I show I am watching the road I have videos of the activity the truck is experiencing.
This truck is shutting off, especially when I reach a stop and sometimes become hard to start. I take it three times for recall and they refuse to fix the problem. They also charge me and I am at wrist with this vehicle I did because accidental or death and damage properties. I need an immediate solution because it did last had running me around telling me lies. I cannot drive my vehicle and I cannot pass inspection because of this situation. Let me know what I need to do from here . Thank you.

I am having multiple electrical glitches with the vehicle. While I was in bluecruise the self driving mode the vehicle warned me to take control and when I did the vehicle was stuck in a loop on the highway with notifications alarms. I was able to take a video one of the times. I took it to the Ford dealer and they said they needed me to bring it back when an engineer was available. While waiting to go back had another serious issue with the head unit/audio system when I started up the vehicle. Ear damaging sounds came on and I lost control of the head unit. Shut the truck off and turned it back on and the ear piercing noises persisted. I made a video of this too. My head unit randomly reboots while driving the vehicle. Went back to Ford and they did an update instead of having engineers diagnose the problem. Audio system still doesn’t work right and I think it is damaged from the event.
Runaway throttle at least 8 times now: 1. Driving in adaptive cruise control when deactivated by manual braking (to turn into a parking lot, which is a more common scenario for a brake based shutoff) 2. Parked nose first and shut off the truck 3. Start truck and reverse out of parking space 4. Shift to drive, apply throttle gently and truck continues to accelerate when throttle released requiring a panicked brake application.
When moving from park to drive, vehicle surges forward at full throttle. I have had the truck for 18 months and it has happened 4 times over the past 18 months and has been witnessed by a passenger.
When driving my truck using adaptive speed control. Vehicle reacts as it should to speed limit signs until it sees any sign with the number 80 on it, e. G. - state hwy. 80. As soon as it reads the number 80 it immediately accelerates to 80 mph. This happens no matter what speed zone you are in. I called Ford motor company and they referred me to my local dealership. The dealership said they were aware of the problem because one of their managers had the same issue with his vehicle. They told me that the Ford tech. Told him to shut it off if that happens. I don't believe this is a viable fix because you never know when it is going to happen. This will happen anytime it sees the number 80 whether you are in a 25 mph zone, a 55 mph or any speed zone. This is a very dangerous situation for both occupants and pedestrians. I just got off an hour long phone call with Ford vehicle technology assist and they insist I find my own solution by going to local dealerships. I know for sure this condition affects at least two but more than likely thousands of vehicles. Please look in to this before somebody gets killed. I can tell Ford is not going to.

The adaptive cruise control on the vehicle failed. When passing other vehicles, the system will engage the brakes unexpectedly and aggressively causing possible loss of control and exposes other drivers behind you to collide with your vehicle. Dealership did inspect vehicle but was unable to duplicate. This generally occurs on highway driving over long distances. There are no warning signs that this is going to occur. All of a sudden you will just feel the vehicle brake extremely hard. This happened multiple times while in used during 400 mile trip. (stopped using for remainder of the trip).

The adaptive cruise control is supposed to adapt to the speed of the vehicle in front of you as well as adapt to the posted speed limits as they change. When driving on the highway, the adaptive cruise control will read the exit ramp speed limit while you are driving through on the highway and immediately drop. So while driving at the posted 65 mph my truck drops down to 25 mph. This has strangely happened on occasion when driving under an overpass - my speed dropped from 65 mph to 45 mph. This happens with no warning. You cannot predict when it will happen. I was driving in maryland on route 81 which is a major truck corridor, was driving 65 mph as posted and as I passed an exit ramp, my speed dropped to 25 mph. A tractor trailer behind me immediately blared his horn and continued to blare his horn while he passed me. I contacted Ford through their online problem chat. They never heard of this problem. This is not true because the Ford bloggers talk about this online. The Ford representative suggested I have it checked at the dealership. I went to the Ford dealership and they said they didn’t have a fix. Just don’t use your cruise control. This defect will definitely cause a major accident, it’s just a matter of time.
When I use the cruise control and set it at a speed, it will maintain that set speed for a period of time and then the set speed will randomly jump up 10 to 20 miles an hour and reset the speed faster. So if I set it at 70 miles an hour. It jumps up to 80 or 85 and once even jumped up to 90 mph. The first time I told this to a service person they told me that’s normal. The car went in and supposedly they fixed it, but it is still doing it.
I started the truck and safety systems all shut down: blis, lane keeping, reverse sensing, advance track, rear cross, forward collision. . . Everything failed. It even turned my steering wheel to the right so it was not straight. I drove for about three miles, while stopped at a light a message said something about steering calibration and it straightened my steeling wheel to be back where is was supposed to be. The safety system shutdown has happened on three different dates.
My 2022 f150 lightning was involved in a 3 car collision on interstate 80. Three safety components of the pickup truck did not engage in preventing the accident. Specifically the adaptive cruising did not slow the truck down as traffic came to a slow crawl on the highway due to an apparent accident up ahead. Normally the adaptive cruising will start decreasing speed if the vehicle in front encroaches on the distance set for clearance. The second component which was the forward collision aural and visual warnings did not sound nor flash a warning sign on the dashboard that a collision was imminent. And the final component that failed to engage was the emergency collision braking. My seatbelts did not automatically pull back anticipating a collision. No emergency braking was applied by the truck. My wife who was the driver and I was the front right seat passenger. She was able to apply the brakes to slow down but not enough to stop before we impacted the vehicle in front which then got pushed into the 3rd vehicle in front of him. Our impact speed was probably less than 10=20 mph but the impact totaled the middle vehicle. Forthunately no injuries in any of the 3 vehicles. The middle vehicle airbags deployed. Our airbags did not deploy. California chp came and told us no report needed to be filed. Claim was made with our insurance companies. My Ford service department representative was able to access the telemetry data on the truck and noted the time of the collision registered on the onboard computer but there were no indications that any of the 3 safety systems engaged as I mentioned. The windshield of the truck had been replaced by safelite windows less than a month before the accident which may have resulted in perhaps not able to sense the upcoming collision although they did the realignment after replacing the windshield. This may have been a secondary cause of the collision.
Bluecruise when driving east bound by highland illinois will lose control of the vehicle and let it drive outside of its lane. The lane control of the vehicle provides no alerts when this happens. This can be easily repeated on multiple roads when in "hands free" this is extremely dangerous as the adas doesnt feel like it has good command of the vehicle or the road. Posing an issue to myself and others. My dealer installed all updates within the last two weeks and this continues to be the case. Before and after the updates no change in vehicle control behavior's.
Collision avoidance , headlight bright/dim , lane departure system not working. I’m for service five times over five weeks with no resolutions there may be others I don’t know about until I need them the dealer is fred grande of richmond michigan.
This afternoon when it started to rain I turned on my wipers only to discover they would not turn on. I managed to get off the road and even tried swapping fuses, but the wipers still wouldn’t turn on. I had my child in the car and this was a very dangerous situation! Ford is telling me that the wiper recall doesn’t cover my truck. Help!.

While driving truck suddenly decides to go into neutral. This happens twice within an hour. Truck is at Ford dealership in granada ms. I’m waiting on what they find out.
After work on my way home (clear weather), I was driving my 2020 f150 on the highway with adaptive cruise control (acc) engaged. Suddenly, I noticed that the acc system was not responding properly to the traffic ahead, and it was not maintaining a safe distance as it usually does. I attempted to disengage the system, but it failed to respond, leaving me unable to control the vehicle's speed manually. Upon investigating, I discovered that the front camera, which is a crucial component of the acc system, had failed. As a result, the pre-collision feature was also disabled, putting my safety and the safety of other road users at significant risk. Since the failure occurred suddenly and unexpectedly, there were no warning lamps or messages indicating the malfunction before it happened. The issue was not reproducible after the incident. In the meantime, for safety reasons, I have stopped using the acc system and continue to drive the vehicle with heightened caution. Further more, after a week upon starting my truck, I got "front camera malfunction" message, and my cruise control, pre-collision assist, and lane keeping assist are not functioning.
When adaptive cruise control is set, the vehicle thinks there is a crash ahead and applies the brakes when in reality nothing is in front of the vehicle . This causes a very dangerous situation for vehicles behind the truck when it applies emergency braking.
With the cruise control set to a speed of around 60mph and with no other vehicles around, the truck accelerates (uncommanded) to some value over 71mph. This occurs randomly but is repeatable and has only started occurring within the past week. A definite safety concern.
With cruise control engaged, the set speed would randomly change up or down changing vehicle speed rapidly. Most dangerous part was some times the speed would set itself from around the speed limit where I set to as much as 20-30 mph above the posted speed limit up to 90 mph. The speed would instantly increase by 5,10,15,20 mph all of a sudden which is not possible to set with the cruise control buttons as they only increase or decrease in one mph increment. If it is some sort of speed limit sign reading system it failed and caused a dangerous situation for me and my family. I have video of multiple instances. This is dangerous and life threatening for the occupants of my vehicle and others on or near the road and could easily lead to loss of control, injury or death.
When traveling on a divided highway in the left lane with no vehicle ahead of me, as I am passing a vehicle in the right lane, just when I am about even with that vehicle beside me my truck applies the brakes firmly and unexpectedly. There is no associated warning message on the instrument panel display or audio alert like there is when it goes into collision avoidance. When it happened the first time I was very startled and worried it saw something that required braking but as it happens almost every time I pass someone I am getting used to it.
Symptoms of clock spring failure in steering wheel (buttons only working on half of steering wheel, horn not working). There are recalls for this same issue on other model Fords where at appears the airbag may be implicated. There is no recall for this on my model year, and Ford could not provide insight as to whether my airbag was also implicated.

Brake failure, brake pedal went to floor had to firmly stand on peddle rear wheels eventually locked up and truck skidded to stop. Warning lamps that lit up are check brake system, hill start assist not available, service advance trac, pre collision assist not available, abs and brake light was illuminated. Very dangerous situation. This is the second time this happened the first was September 2021 they replaced the brake booster at 7,000 miles this occurred again 12/25/2022.
On certain occasions, the transmission will make a banging noise while causing the truck to jerk forward when the vehicle has to upshift such as taking off from an intersection but rarely jerks when the vehicle is downshifting. Also, while using the adaptive cruise control system, the vehicle will travel close to the right or middle lane as if it is looking for the pavement striping and then move back over to the center of the lane. With the adaptive cruise system, when the vehicle is supposed to be in the center of the lane, the system slightly turns the the wheel as if it is having trouble staying in the center of the lane. The vehicle also has a csp for unintended tailgate opening. I have an appointment set for November 18th but have been trying to get in touch with the service advisor that was assigned to me multiple times and was told he would receive an email to contact me each time but he has not contacted me. The shifting/jerking problem has occurred only three times and the issue with the adaptive cruise system is every time it is turned on while traveling a multi lane highway that has a broken striped line on both sides of the vehicle. Since this is my only vehicle, if the vehicle has to be kept at the dealer, I would need a loaner vehicle to travel to and from work while my vehicle is being repaired. I only use my truck on paved roads. Date is most recent incident of transmission issue.
When using adaptive cruise control sometimes the truck will unexpectedly brake when passing large vehicles (semi-tractor trailers, dump trucks, delivery trucks). Has only happened when passing large commercial vehicles on the left (us style, driver side left; my passenger side/other vehicle driver side facing each other) but not passenger vehicles. Happens in both night and day, and at random (doesn’t occur all the time). Has happened multiple times since buying vehicle used in 2019.

What is a reasonabe time for dealers to get parts to repair a recall. They keep saying parts on back order. Other parts are available to repair but company will not approve due to cost.

Intermittently, when using my adaptive cruise control at freeway speeds, the breaks are suddenly applied hard when there is no car in front of me. It has happened several times. So far, it hasn't caused any loss of control, but it does cause cars behind me to slam on their brakes. It generally would slow the car 30-40 mph suddenly, without warning. The date and mileage I am showing below is the last time it happened. It has been happening since the vehicle was new in 2016, but without being able to recreate the problem for the dealer, I didn't notify them. But the situation is getting worse and seems to be happening more often. Also, in separate incidents, the crash warning lights flash on when there is no danger of crashing.
I was driving down the road like I always do, the cruise control just shut off. I tried to re-engage it and it would not respond, about 15 minutes later I engaged the cruise control successfully. This has happened numerous times over the last three weeks and now in order to engage the cruise control, I lift with my fingertips, the top left and the bottom left of the button and then it will engage. One occasion, the dash lights in trip 1 mode flashed. Then the control began working again.
Car was in the driveway and refused to start. Back light flashed and the battery died. I stated to the dealership that the adaptive cruise was not working. The dealership stated that it was working and that they test drove it and it was working. I brought it in a second time and stated the adaptive cruise was not working. Again the dealership stated that it was working. Third time I complained and they admitted that the factory had not installed adaptive cruise and that the vehicle did not have the sensors for the pre-collision assist w/aeb. They would wait for the parts and install the necessary hardware. Prior to delivery my vehicle had a factory hold on it . Ford did not warn me that safety features I had paid for were not installed. Ford had their dealer deny that my vehicle was missing these safety features. These missing safety features and Ford"s denial put myself and others at risk. These safety features was why I bought a new truck in the first place. Ford and its dealers did not act in a responsible or ethical manner with complete disregard for safety.
This is a link to the dashcam footage. Traveling 45mph in stop and go traffic. I braked (indicated by my hood dipping downwards) but failed to stop. Possible defect? haven't had my truck back since the accident on 6/24/2022. Https://youtu. Be/hl7iau0463i.
On June 17, 2022 while driving to work on highway in nee york stare, I put the adaptive cruise control on so I could adjust my drivers side rear view mirror. The truck suddenly lunged to the left striking a guard rail and overturned several times. Despite being a direct high speed impact to the guard rail and overturning , the steering airbag did not deploy. See police report attached. Due to this , I sustained major internal tissue damage including: a broken sternum, punctured lung bruised aorta, 4 fractures to the vertebrae in both my upper and lower spine and 4 broken ribs in my upper rib cage. I spent a total of 11 nights in the hospital including 4 nights in the icu. I have not been cleared to return to work and instill under medical care. I understand there was a airbag/steering column recall on other f150s but I strongly suspect that the reveal needs to be expanded to mite vehicles such as mine. All the doctors that treated me said my injuries were the direct result of the steering wheel airbag not deploying. The state trooper that reined me from my vehicle , as well as one of the witnesses both told me that my steering airbag did not deeply. I also have pictures as well.
