While driving the vehicle on a city street it started to accelerate on it's own and I had to slam on the breaks because of it doing that. Again one December 20th 2019 it did it again. I dont know what's causing it to be doing that but I've taking it to the dealership and nothing can be found wrong.

I was parked in a sage brush field, warming up in my truck. I turned it off and opened the door to get out. This is when I noticed my electronic running boards didn't extend. So I situated myself back in the drivers seat and realized the radio was still playing. (it is suppose to turn off when I open the door and the truck is off) I started the truck and found I had no dashboard lights, gauges were off, locks would not work in the front. I had only radio ( volume control didn't work) and flashers. I drove the few miles to my dealer. After calling someone. They told me they did a hard reboot of the system. Everything came back on and I noticed it was a few days before everything readjusted to read correctly. I was told to come back if I had more problems. They had a list of faults that showed on the computer when they plugged it in. The codes: bcm, fcim, ms1-can,hs2-can,hs3-can,u0137 said tbm couldn't communicate with bcm. Final statement on cause: excessive network traffic on the controller area network (can) bus causing the fcim to lock up. I have the work order if needed.
While driving my 2012 F-150 I received a power steering warning light on the dashboard computer and the steering went out almost cause me to swerve into oncoming traffic. This happened without warning while my vehicle was in motion. The steering went out and I had to muscle the wheel to turn the vehicle.

On Tuesday 11/5/19, we were traveling on a highway at around 45 mph when I decelerated to make a right hand turn onto a city street. I had accelerated back up to around 30 mph when I cross over a relatively smooth railroad crossing at a slight left hand turn. Immediately the information center on the console start displaying multiple alerts and the vehicle started decelerating. While the engine did not cut off, there was no power to the powertrain and eventually we rolled to a stop on the side of the road. The vehicle continued to fire alerts. The only way to stop them was to turn the vehicle off. The messages still fired so I opened and closed the door. I restarted the vehicle with no problem and the alert messages had ceased. I drove the vehicle back to the house (approximately 4 miles) at highway speed with no issue. We took the vehicle to the dealership then next day (26 miles) with no issue. Fortunately, our Ford pass app had captured all the alerts and, after a couple of days, the dealership replaced a gas pedal position sensor. We picked the truck up on Friday and it worked fine until the next day. We were decelerating from highway speeds on the highway to turn left onto a side road. We hit a small hump where the side road meets the highway and again the alerts starting firing and the truck lost propulsion. Again, the engine did not turn off and the only remedy was to turn it off and back on. We plan on taking the vehicle back to the dealership but would like for Ford to assess this problem as it seems to be beyond the dealership's capabilities to fix the issue. Since several of the alerts represented loss of safety functions including brakes, traction control, powertrain failure, and others we feel this issue represents a safety issue that Ford needs to diagnose and fix. Several of the f150 forums have shown other users having the same issue.
While driving in the rain I had stopped at an intersection. I turned a corner and accelerated to merge into traffic. The rear wheels spun excessively, causing the vehicle to 'fish-tail' and creating a dangerous situation me and adjacent vehicles. The traction control system was on but did not engage, no indicator lights illuminated on the dash to show it engaged or had an error. The same day I took the vehicle to jim tidwell Ford, and rode with the shop foreman on a demo ride to mirror the situation. The shop foreman agreed the traction control should have engaged. However, after running diagnostics the service department said the vehicle was within specification. For comparison, I mentioned that the traction control on the f-250 model works much better, which they agreed was a known inconsistency. The F-150 traction control is ineffective and causes an unsafe driving situation in wet conditions.

I have a f150 4-wheel eco boost v6. I recently had my vehicle in for an oil change and at that time decided to have the recall done for the software update. The next few days I noticed that there was some hesitation with the gears shifting and the transmission at times would drop. I contacted the dealership to bring my truck back in at that time they could not find anything wrong but an oil pressure sensor. Some days later I was driving on the feeder road getting ready to enter the highway. As soon as I entered my speedometer stop working and the transmission dropped into 1st gear. There was a car behind me that almost collided with my truck. My family was in the car at the time and this could have been a serious accident. The next day I brought my truck back into the dealership and they did a quick diagnosis. They stated that I had transmission issues and that I needed to look into getting another vehicle through them and trading my truck out. I was upset by the response so I took my vehicle to a local transmission shop where they thoroughly inspected the truck. The findings were that the oss sensor was faulty and it pull up a p0270 code. The shop advised me that this was a warranty and safety issue and that I immediately take it back to the dealership to have it repaired. When I return to the dealership they at that time acknowledge that it was a warranty issue and could be fix, but they could not even look at it for 2-weeks and would not even provide a loaner after stating my safety concerns. I then contact Ford motor company and they could not assist until the dealership looked at my truck. I did state to them the time issue at the dealership but was told they have no control over what they do. I'm stuck with driving a unsafe vehicle for an issue outside of my control and no one at Ford is taking the matter seriously. This could cause a fatal or severe injury.

The truck was running for about 15 minutes. We were going down a major highway in one of the passing lanes at approximately 70mph then without any warning power was lost. On the display trac stability came on then cycled thru hill assist and several others. I drifted of the road just past a exit. The engine felt like it was missing terribly as it cycling thru these errors. I shut it down and restarted it seemed ok, but check engine light still on, when I tried to move it started to shake and cycle errors again. I shut it down again and restarted this time it was running ok. The check engine light was still on and we drove with thecheck egine light for approximately 400 miles stopping and shuting off engine several times. Light still on. Stopped for 1 hour to eat when restarting no check engine light on and has been working as normal today.
Right after we purchased the vehicle it started sending signals for error codes. Taken to shop cleared codes ,started again a week later. Now the electric steering system has gone out. No warning just stopped working. The vehicle has 91037 miles on it.
Tl-the contact owns a 2013 Ford raptor. The contact stated that with the active trac control disabled, and while going around a corner at approximately 10-15 mph in inclement weather, the rear wheel lost traction. The vehicle started to slide and the traction control independently actuated. The contact stated that the vehicle was almost to the point of leaving the roadway. The contact stated that active traction control, slowed the rear wheels to vehicle speed which made the vehicle uncontrollable. The vehicle was taken to woodhouse Ford, 2546 us-30, blair, ne 68008, (402) 426-4126, to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the vehicle operated as intended. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated tha the failure recurred three times. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000. Ah.
I have a service advance trac warning light that comes on randomly and then disappears. I have had it to the dealership 2 times for a total of 5 weeks and they couldn't find out what was wrong with it. It never popped up an error code for the message. Finally the light stayed on so I took out to them and they were able to pull a code. Once they got the code Ford started that there was no fix for the issue and I am out of luck. I have filed a complaint with Ford who said unless it happens more frequently we cant do anything for you. This typically happens while the vehicle is in motion. When it happens it disables the traction control as well as toe mode, eco mode, snow mode, sport mode. Happens at all speeds and nothing seems to trigger the issue.

When driving this vehicle the steering seems to lock up making a slight adjustment going down the highway will throw you either to the right or to the left if making a turn it will not turn in all of a sudden it will release itself and suddenly throw you into a turns harder than what you wish and if you're not real quick to react you will almost crash this that this is happened several times to us and also to the technician who just drove the vehicle he almost wrecked my truck because of steering locked up on him on a 90-degree turn this is a very much a safety hazard and a safety feature other trucks are the same year have been recalled for this and I believe the recall should be expanded this is a issue that was continuing to happen.

Driving down the highway at 70 mph with no other previous indications the steering wheel jerked hard to the right then the power steering was gone. The power steering fault message and service advancetrac message were displayed on the message center. I pulled to the side of the road and attempted a shut down and restart. The service power steering now message was then displayed.
Tl- the contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 10 mph, when depressing the accelerator pedal and failed to accelerate. The contact he heard an loud abnormal noise when trying to accelerate to more the 10 mhp. The contact stated powertrain fault warning light was illuminated and temp transmission was 180-190 degrees. The contact stated the vehicle at a different occasion has began to hesitated and turned off while driving. The vehicle was not drivable. The vehicle was taken to user dealer where he has purchase the vehicle. The used dealer did not provided any repair services. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired as of yet. A dealer was not contacted. The contact VIN number was associated to NHTSA campaign number: 19v075000 (power train). The manufacturer has not been informed of failure. The failure mileage was 102,000. Dp.
Vehicle was designed with steering angle sensor inside the steering gear. Sensor has failed and is not serviceable and will cost $2200 for repair. Since the sensor has failed the entire vehicle stability control system is disabled causing a major safety concern. Ford used this design from 11/03/10 to 01/03/11. This design was replaced with one which places the sensor in the steering column for easy replacement. I have contacted Ford for repair assistance and so far all claims have been denied.
While driving auto transmission will not shift up from 1st gear and while traveling truck will down shift to first for no apparent reason, thus causing a strain on engine and transmission.
Electric power steering and traction control went out.
Driving down the highway, yellow wrench appeared on main screen. Truck immediately went to limp mode. No acceleration available. Difficult and dangerous to get to safety. Turned off truck and waited a few minutes to restart and truck seemed fine. Also, when cresting a hill in sixth gear and slightly lifting on the accelerator, the vehicle has a big thunk that can be felt throughout the vehicle. Seems to be in the transmission. However, no codes are generated for this or the yellow wrench. Ford say possible electronic throttle body, lead frame for the transmission, or spark plugs. Our sparks plugs are Ford brand and new. There was a recall for this same issue for the 2011-2013 f150, but this doesn't include our truck as it's a 2014. This is a safety issue that deserves another recall and Ford again to cover the repairs. This is happening to too many Ford owners and someone will get hurt if they haven't already. There is a law suit against Ford for several models with this same issue. Please do the online research on this issue and see if something can be done. Our truck isn't safe to drive and it's at the dealership for a second time. No resolution the first time because no codes are being saved by the computer. According to my research Ford knew of these issues for years and they failed to take care of the computer code issue and fixed the faulty vehicles they sold.
Service advance trac light came on while driving at highway speeds. Complete loss of power but engine was still running at a very rough idle. Zero throttle response. This happened while pulling a 30 ft camper in downtown nashville. Extremely dangerous situation. I was able to shut the truck off and restart it to clear the code but it continued to happen. After researching online I've found that this is a very common problem caused by the throttle body and sensor. Theres recalls out for multiple f150 truck models but apparently mine was made at a time that wasn't included in the recall. Ford has a bigger problem than they are admitting to and they are putting people's lives in danger by doing so. I reached out to Ford because I wanted them to document that theres a problem if they weren't going to fix it. They recommended I report it to the NHTSA. I nearly got hit multiple times because of a faulty sensor that costs less than $300 to replace.
My truck doesn't want to steer right. It's very hard to steer and sometimes the steering wheel sticks. Heard they are having issues with the electronic steering in these trucks. The vehicle is in motion when this is happening and it's when you are going around a bend. I should not have to pay to get this fixed. This is a major safety issue. It happens everytime I drive.
Parasitic battery drain burned and corrsion damage from water leaks into the electrical system. This affected passenger air bag deployment and seat restraint. Vehicle was stationary, battery died, new battery placed in vehicle and dead next day. Ford motor unresponsive and without transportation for one month!.
My 2015 f150 with 100,700 miles on it completely stalled on me while pulling into traffic. I lost all control and had no throttle response and the truck went into idle mode and would not do anything until I put in park and then turned the truck off and then restarted the truck. Ran my codes and noticed that it showed a p2112 code which was a fault with the throttle body response. This caused my truck to completely lose all function in the middle of a busy intersection with cross traffic. Luckily there were people turning to prevent an 18 wheeler from coming towards me and the speed limit of 55 mph. This is totally unacceptable for this to just shutdown like this and cause serious danger for myself and those driving around me. After reading online it seems that this is a common problem with these throttle body assembly's. This is not ok!!!! I replaced the throttle body myself without paying $800 at the Ford dealership. This has to be addressed for safety reasons.
Went to grocery store and everything was fine. Came out of store and started truck and had no power steering. Along with error messages on display reading: service advantrac, hill assist fault, powersteering assist fault, also have abs light on and cruise control quit working. Steering is very hard to turn and makes truck very unpleasant to drive.

Truck went into limp mode after stopping for a red light. This happened twice one day. Dealership said they replaced the throttle body assembly. When in limp it took forever to get through the intersection, long enough that the light changed back to red.
I was driving on the freeway in the fast lane. Suddenly the wrench warning light and check engine light came on, and the car experienced what appeared to be a total loss of engine power. I placed the hazard lights on and was able to navigate to the shoulder, with 18 wheelers and other cars trying to react to my sudden loss of power and speed. After turning the car off, and restarting it, it appears ok to proceed. This same incident has happened now 8 times in the last few days. I took the car into Ford and they are claiming it's an issue with the throttle body. I mentioned that I see a throttle body recall for 2015-2016 F-150's, but Ford is denying the issue, indicating there is no recall for my 2013. I find many complaints identical to mine for F-150's earlier than 2015. They also claim Ford denies the issue and refuses to fix the problem. Most also reference concern for a significant safety issue, feeling that Ford will only fix this once people die. I took my F-150 to the local Ford dealer today and they verified it was the throttle body, and are charging me $650 to fix it. I have read from others that the component used to fix the problem is the original faulty component, so there is no reason to feel that the problem will not happen again eventually. I have experienced four times on the freeway at 65mph, and several times on city streets at 30mph. I was driving straight, not braking.
My 2005 Ford f150 has been experiencing sua, "sudden unintended acceleration" since the day I bought it new off a Ford dealer lot. This is not driver error or floor mats like Ford explans as the problem. Sua does exsist. Complaints peaked in 2005 Ford trucks! only have 16k miles on my vehicle but have had a number of near accidents over the years. Would gladly pay to have the problem fixed, but the answer I always get " what problem, it doesn't exsist" sua happens when trying to brake with truck in gear and in motion. Has happened in both forward and reverse mode. Can not drive any more without keeping my hand on the gear shift lever to throw into neutral when the problem occurs. Worst incident was when I nearly rear ended a stopped school bus.

Was driving down the highway at 45 mph, all of a sudden advance track service warning appeared, hill descent off, and truck lost all power and began to idea roughly, could not accelerate, was able to pull off the road. Fortunately I have a mechanical background, turned off ignition waited a minute and tried to restart the truck, cranked harder than normal, engine service lite was on, turned off advance track and went a few miles and happened again. Went through same steps and restarted vehicle, was able to drive 10 miles to home. When I started the truck this morning the engine service light was off, went a few miles and same thing happened again. This is a definite serious accident waiting to happen. If you are on an interstate go 70 mph in traffic and this would happen most people would not know what to do. Doing some online searching this seems to be a problem that Ford has failed to address , it must take loss of life before this problem is addressed.
Tl the contact owns a 2011 Ford F-150. While driving 10 mph, the stability control warning indicator illuminated and the turn signals were inoperable. The vehicle was taken to gjovik Ford inc (located at 2600 us-34, sandwich, IL 60548, (630) 552-8058) where it was diagnosed that the steering gear needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 47,000.
The service advancetrac light comes on regularly while trying the steering wheel at low speeds. It used to not be as common, but has gotten worse I. The past 6 months. Today I tried slowing down while making a right turn and the steering g locked up on me mid-turn. Based on the same diagnostics as hundreds of others with this problem, it's indicated that the entire steering rack will need replaced. Ford knows about this problem with not just the 2011 models, but with the 2012 and 2013 models as well.
Driving down the highway, trying to change lane to exit the road, press on my brakes to slow down, then my brakes light came on, saying iam low on brake fluid, and my breaks dont work, the pedal went al the way down to the flood. Put on my hazards light on, and let the truck slow down to an exit, very slow to stop while driving. Found out there a recall on my truck, call Ford #, they tell me that the truck had been service before in 2016, and there only one recall fix per vehicle. So iam out luck, the brake booster and master cylinder have to be replaced again. . At my own expense. . .
Corroded body control module and wiring. Ford technicians unable to diagnose cause. Caused vehicle to go into limp mode while driving in an unsafe manner.
Rear defogger on sliding rear window has become completely disconnected. Poor design. When automatically opening sliding rear window, the defogger mechanism gets caught on rear seat eventually, this lead to the rear defogger disconnecting and breaking off from his housing.
Tl-the contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked hear a clicking noise emerging from the fuse box and inside the cabin. , the vehicle lost all electrical capabilities . The air bags warning indicator illuminated. The contact also stated that the failure occurred two other times. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for a diagnosis. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 110,000. Bp.
"service advancetrac" warning light illuminates after sharp turns into parking spaces, etc. . Turn signal arm has to be held during turns. Sometimes problem clears itself.
