Front Seat Belt Anchorage problems of the 1999 Ford F-250

Three problems related to front seat belt anchorage have been reported for the 1999 Ford F-250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Seat Belt Anchorage problem

Failure Date: 09/09/1999

Reporting both front and rear belts are not operating properly. Belt would loosen by itself whenever a person moves, instead of tightening and holding the occupant. Dealer notified and informed consumerthat the belt would only lock by itself during a vehicle collision. Can NHTSA help or provide additional information on this matter.

2 Front Seat Belt Anchorage problem

During inclement weather brake failed when applied. Consumeer tried to avoid hitting vehicle in front and hit a pole. There was no deployment of driver and passenger side airbages and the seat belt did not restrain driver and kill swith failed. Yh.

3 Front Seat Belt Anchorage problem

During severe 50 mph crash no deployment of air bags and seat belts did not restrain properly (unaware of injuries). (attorney for consumer) mjs.
