Wheel Bolts problems of the 1999 Ford F-250

1 Wheel Bolts problem

Failure Date: 10/27/2003

While driving at 55 mph consumer felt a vibration in the vehicle. A few seconds later right side rear wheel separated from the vehicle. Vehicle skidded to a stop on the shoulder, where the consumer found that the 8 lugs: nuts had sheared off. There was no collision or injuries reported in this incident. The dealer and the manufacturer will be notified of the problem.

2 Wheel Bolts problem

Failure Date: 08/24/2003

While driving the vehicle's left rear tire sheared off from the hub. The tire went through the median and struck another vehicle.

3 Wheel Bolts problem

Failure Date: 10/01/1999

Lug nuts loosen as the vehicle is driven and must be tightened periodically to prevent wheels from coming off.
