We just bought this truck and the old man that owned it has used a bungee cord to keep it shut but we prefer not to do that so I'm letting the proper authorities be aware that the driver's door latch won't stay shut, something wrong with the latch, the door opens when driving.
Truck had been parked all afternoon at work. Upon leaving work there was a sudden loud noise that went on for a few seconds and then stopped. Ford and "takata recall" the safety belts in the back outside as well as the middle seat belt does not lock at all, the muffler on the bottom back underneath the car is hanging enouph to strap it to car. The front bumper is cracked and held together by plastic tywraps. The light in the dash light is out and doesn't light up at all besides a person with the airbag diploid showing. Back seat door lock switch doesn't work and the back door right side window doesn't go up and down. The back seat little window is broken out. The back brake light doesn't work. The heating and cooling system doesn't come on at all including defrosters. The wind shield is held on from what looks like foam glue. The underside of the vehicle is rusted and the front side wheel and brake are rusted, as well as the front side back weal baring and break, drivers side back rear wheel barring and break are rusted. The horn does not work at all and the air bag light is on. The fan doesn't blow at all, the car just starts making loud noises, and the theft light seams to be on in the middle of the front dash bord. The reason is due to previouse owner as the car was like this before I baught the vehicle so the reason for the condition is due to unknown reason of previouse owner not taking care of it. The truck cannot be reengineered to solve the customers design issue unless the entire platform is redesigned. Ford is not going to incorporate a design change at this time and has not plans on the drawing board that the the hotline knows about.
