Seven problems related to front suspension have been reported for the 2001 Ford F-250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
: the contact stated that the front end of the vehicle weaved while driving at any speed, causing increased steering effort. The vehicle was taken to a service dealer, where the tires were replaced, and a front end alignment was performed. The repair was unsuccessful in correcting the problem.
Consumer stated the vehicle seemed to wander at highway speeds.
Pe 0200; was traveling about 22mph and felt vibration on left front tire. The firestone, steel tex at. Consumer will contact firestone.
Vehicle would drift either left or right. Has not been to dealer. Son drove vehicle & rear end fishtailed around front on snowy road & ended up hitting a bridge. Rear end hit first & then spun around, and front end hit bridge.
There is visible shaking in front end at 65 mph. Dealer cannot remedy.
2001 Ford F-250 weaves on the road. Upon inspection mechanic determined the consumer needed new tires and to have the front end realigned. Problem resisted. The vehicle was taken to another dealer who indicated that the front end had been changed and that's why the vehicle was wandering.
While traveling at speeds in excess of 50 mph there was vibration in vehicle which concerned driver. Dealership has examined vehicle, and determined that wheels could not be aligned because tires slid along the rim. Consumer had to purchase new tires from a sears center.
