Two problems related to transfer case have been reported for the 2002 Ford F-250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Ford F-250 4 wheel drive. 4 wheel drive system is faulty. Seals on system go bad and cause lack of pressure to turn hubs to 4 wheel drive mode. Very expensive to fix. Complaints from many people I know including Ford mechanics stating the system is of very poor design.
Consumer states while stuck in snow bank with four wheel drive on the four wheel drive would not engage. Consumer notice grinding noise. Dealer has been contacted please provide further information. Ts.
