The contact owns a 2003 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds the engine would suddenly malfunction and intermittently cut in and out and misfire. After inspecting the vehicle the contact discovered that the rear fuel tank strap had rusted and separated causing the fuel tank to hang from the sub frame of the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 110,000.
