3 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 05/16/2019

Experience stalling without warning while driving and may or may not restart. It will also stall after letting off the throttle when approaching a stop and occasionally while while stopped at a light. Rpm's will also drop to 500 and I have no throttle response, if it doesn't stall completely. This may occur 4 or more times a day, then may not occur again for a few days or weeks. There is absolutely no telling when it will occur, it is to random to identify the problem. Now my horn and cruise control have stopped working as well, when I replace the fuse it blows immediately. I have replaced the ficm, ebp sensor and wiring, fuel pump and still have not resolved the problem. My truck is not safe to drive. This has been happening since shortly after buying the truck in 2018, but seems to be getting worse as the temperature warms up. The following recall number 05v270000 sounds exactly like what I am experiencing, but does not show a recall for my truck.

5 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 12/03/2016

"ficm & icp recall" received a recall notice from Ford July 2005 in regards to faulty ficm and icp. The ficm was repaird August 2005 by a Ford dealership. Note, we did not have any issues with the truck prior to the fix. January 2006 we had to take the truck into the shop due to the engine running rough while idling and accelling; the ficm was replaced due to a short; the issue that was just fixed on the truck. The truck has been in the shop 5 times since January 2006 and has cost us over $11,000 out of pocket to try and resolve this issue that started after the inital recall fix. We have contacted Ford hdqrs and they advised to take the truck into the dealership which we did multiple times. Over the last few months the surging has become increasingly worse. While traveling in heavy traffic on i5 pulling a 30' 5th wheel trailer, the truck surged forward unexpectantly just missing the car in front of us. A few weeks ago I was stopped at an intersection, when I began to take my foot off the brake to move forward the truck surged forward 3 feet. I was lucky there wasn't another car close or a person in the street. Just the other day I was parallel parking and when I took my foot off the gas to back up a little the truck surged backward almost hitting the car in back of the truck. The truck also stalls just before coming to a complete stop occasionally. This issue has become extremly dangerous in that I don't feel safe driving the truck. I looked into the California lemon law and it sounds like the truck might be covered under this. We need to get rid of this truck but feel Ford does not stands behind their product. I have attached the recall notice and some of the receipts for the repairs done to the truck just in regards to this surging issue. I was only able to attach 5 documents but have many more if needed. Regards, mark smith.

11 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 07/17/2013

While driving at speeds between 40 and 65 mph, the vehicle will suddenly stall. Fuel light engine preheat warning lights will come on. If the cruise control and/or tow haul are in use at the time of the stall, they are shut off at the same time. Engine can usually be restarted; on a few occasions it has been necessary to turn on the emergency flashers and attempt to get out of traffic. This creates a hazardous situation when driving on interstate highways. The stalling has occurred when the vehicle has no load and also when pulling a light weight fifth wheel camper. We have taken the vehicle to 2 local Ford dealerships, they have replaced parts (accelerator pedal, & a "fuel management module) but have been unsuccessful in correcting the problem and claim to be unaware of any history of problems with this model vehicle.

13 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 07/06/2006

I own a 2004 F-250 power stroke diesel my truck has stalled numerous times that have left me in very dangerous situations such as on freeways, where highway patrol officers had escort me to the shoulder of the freeway. The dealer has replaced numerous parts on my vehicle even before I had the problem of my truck stalling. They had replaced all the recall parts which was said to have caused the stalling of the power stroke models. Around 20,00 miles after I had bought my truck it would stall without warning. Up to this day it has stalled a total of about 12 times. Some times it would start and stall again and at times it would not start at all and had to be towed to the dealer. It has been to the dealer 5 times for them to fix it and every time they said that they had corrected the problem. They have given me flight data recorders to record the problems as it stalls. The problem was recorded and they still couldn't figure out the problem. The last time my vehicle stalled was on the 6th of July me and my family were on a vacation to yosemite towing a travel trailer when my truck stalled on a two lane highway with no shoulder so I was stalled dangerously close to opposing traffic when an on coming vehicle slammed into my mirror and broke it. It could have been alot worse in sense that my family's lives could have been in danger. I don't know what to do. All the shop foreman which I deal with at the dealer tells me to just bring my vehicle back to the dealer and they will fix the problem. But they have yet to fix this problem. I am fed up with this problem.
