The contact owns a 2006 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving 75 mph, the first brakes engaged independently. The brake disengaged as the abs warning light illuminated. On a separate occasion, the rear passenger brake engaged independently and emitted smoke. The brake unlocked after the system cooled down but the rotors showed signs of overheating. In addition, the front passenger brake overheated and caused the passenger side tire to blow. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic and the failure was located at the front passenger side caliper. The vehicle was repaired. The VIN was not available.
