Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problems of the 2007 Ford F-250

1 Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problem

Failure Date: 12/19/2008

The contact owns a 2007 Ford F-250. While driving approximately 65 mph, the driver heard a noise coming from the front end of the vehicle. He pulled over to the shoulder as the noise increased. The vehicle was driven to a dealer and they stated that the front wheel bearings were defective. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer stated that they were not liable for the repairs due to poor maintenance. The current mileage is 82,500 and failure mileage was 77,822. Updated 2/23/09 updated 02/27/09.

2 Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2007

The contact owns a 2007 Ford f250. While driving 20 mph, the contact heard a loud howling sound. The dealer stated that the front driver side wheel bearing was rusted. The wheel bearing was replaced four times, but the failure recurred. The dealer stated that the failure was caused by contamination from road debris or water. There was a TSB that stated that the brake shield needed to be replaced in order to correct the failure. The manufacturer did not make the repair.
