Vehicle Speed Control problem #1

Was traveling at 70mph on the highway when my 2011 f250 XLT super cab suddenly shifted from 6th gear into 1st gear causing a loss of control and the truck to spin out. The truck is a 6. 2l with a 6 speed automatic transmission.

Vehicle Speed Control problem #3

This vehicles has experienced two incidents of the failure of the exhaust temperature sensors. The first in oct. 2014 the engine light came on, took the vehicle to the dealer where the issue was diagnosed and fixed. At the time I was a surprised to discover the purpose of the sensors, but not overly concerned. In April 2014, leaving town on a Sunday morning with a horse trailer in tow, at 40 mph on a city street received a message that told me to pull over safely and within 60 seconds the engine shut down leaving me in the right lane of a busy street with two horse int he trailer. No restart, called a friend to come help with the trailer and aaa to tow the vehicle to the dealer. This time a different sensor failed, with no warning. There are so many scenarios where this could result in a catastrophic event, including at highway speed, with the trailer or in a remote location with no ability to restart and move the vehicle. The concept / design of the sensor system makes no sense to me; sensor is designed to shut down the engine when egt indicate overheating, same result with sensor failure. The idea is shut down the engine before it overheats and causes damage, yet a sensor failure, which is apparently a frequent occurence, can create a very dangerous event. I would much prefer engine damage to the alternative.

Vehicle Speed Control problem #4

Driving down a 6 lane highway in mid day traffic. Had just left my house not 2 minutes earlier. Light comes on says stop safely now. I start to switch lanes and the engine shuts down. I avoided a near collision and swerved into a turn lane. The truck would not even turn over. Called the dealer and after I explained what happened they stated OH you have a bad exhaust sensor it shuts the vehicle down and was informed it is a regular thing. When I got to the dealership they said there is no fix or upgrade just change the sensor. They also said there is no way to know when they are going to go out. They explained when one of the four sensors goes bad it reads a high temp reading and that triggers the shut down. Asked why they don't change the software to give warning when one shows hot and shut down when a minimum of 2 or 3 show hot. I mean if there are 4 sensors and one shows 2200 the others show 200 something tells me the sensors the issue. I am thankful this occurred when it did instead of a minute earlier w hen I initially pulled onto the highway in front of a dump truck. If it had happened then it would have killed me or someone else had the dump truck been forced to swerve. This is a tragedy waiting to happen. I researched it on line and see a lot of other people have experienced the same issue. Please do something. This is a diesel truck.

Vehicle Speed Control problem #7

Our first f150 ecoboost purchased in July 2011 was taken by Ford as a lemon. The replacement truck provided in November 2011 has the same issues. While driving in rain on a freeway our v6 ecoboost f150 truck engine starts to shudder, shake and then rapidly lose power while driving at highway speeds. Then the engine completely shuts down when accelerating. Our vehicle barely made it to the side of the road where it stopped running. After letting it sit for a few minutes the engine was restarted. Although the engine worked the truck continued to shudder and shake with limited ability to accelerate for the remainder of the 3 hour drive. Over a period of many months the problem reoccurred many times, almost always when driving in the rain. The problem was even worse while driving in the rain and towing a boat trailer. The problem is especially horrific when towing a trailer and driving in the mountains in the rain. The problem also occurs no matter then weather when driving through the mountains of kentucky, tennessee and northern georgia. The truck is totally undependable. Although the truck has been in the dealership for repairs the problem is not fixed! on top of the loss of power, a life threatening situation when driving in traffic on any road especially a freeway, the miles per gallon has never been higher than 18mpg when driving on a freeway at 55mph (confirmed by a Ford mechanic) significantly below the product advertisement by Ford. To date after multiple times in the Ford dealership repair shop the problem has not been fixed.

The failure and current mileage was approximately 3,278.

Vehicle Speed Control problem #10

2011 Ford f250 crewcab fx4 6. 7l diesel engine. Sometimes you push on the gas and nothing happens and it takes a few seconds and it kicks in and goes. Towing a fifth wheel thru a stop sign with a 18 wheeler bearig down on you sucks. Almost didn't make it out of the way. This happen twice in one day. The dealer heard noise from my fuel pump so the they changed the fuel filters and I had a recall for some computer upgrade data thingy. I only have 24k miles and this has happened a few other times without a load on it (towing or not). Did I just spend $61,000 on a death trap?? at the diesel stop. Com website, there are many other people with this same problem. I have taken my vehicle in to a dealer and they say "can not duplicate" but this happens every now and then. One person on that forum was able to take a Ford mechanic driving with him and was able to duplicate the problem but later the mechanic said nothing was wrong. Sounds like a cover up to me. What should I do?? just keep taking my truck in to the dealer?.
