1 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 03/27/2026

Cp4 pump continuous failure sending metal into the fuel system. Ford still uses an inferior product causing truck owners up to $18000 in repairs.

2 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 06/09/2025

It keeps throwing a check engine light for miss fire but ive replaced all of the ignition and fuel parts and it keeps happening now its loosing power and getting hot for no reason.

3 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 09/17/2022

The diesel particulate filter is failing on a lot of 2011-2016 Ford F-250 f-350, f-450, and f-550 part 6d20000. Leaving vehicles stranded on the road while driving at 75 mph. The safety was impacted by a sudden vehicle slowing down with no acceleration. It had also tried doing a lot of regins. This particular truck has not been inspected by a Ford dealer nor insurance, but it has been inspected by me and a private mechanic. There weren't any prior problems with this truck. On top of this situation, diesel particulate filters are back ordered by about 3 months and cost about $4,700. 00 for replacements. I do forget what the exact day was but it was somewhere in August of 2022.

4 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 05/13/2022

Okk main issue is what everyone calls the “death wobble”. It has done it countless of times since I’ve had the truck. Even after I bought a new fox single steering stabilizer. I have replaced quite a few things under the front end that I was told “could” be why it kept doing it. The most recent I’ve bought for the front is brand new fox shocks just like the ones I have on the back and it still does it. I’ve had the front end aligned a couple times since I’ve had the truck and rotated my tires once too. And to this day it still does that death wobble. It scares me every time too still. Im afraid ima end up in a wreck or cause a wreck bc of it. Another issue is I keep having this warning pop up saying “ engine temp too high reduced engine power “ bc it thinks the engine coolant is too low which it’s not. And when I scan the code through the obd port it just says “engine oil temp sensor too low/too high”. I had the Ford dealership in my town put a new oil temp sensor in it but it still throws a code just about everyday I drive it. Another issue I had was the high pressure fuel pump on the front of the motor go out literally while I was sittn in my driveway at night after just driving it not even 3 miles down the road to the store to grab a few things. And it ran fine like normal but soon as pulled in the driveway an was rolling my windows up about to go in it just died on me an had to get it towed to the Ford dealership in my town. They looked at my fuel an said my fuel was fine with no contaminants in it. I was just unlucky they said so that was basically 10k out my pocket to pay for a whole new fuel system. The death wobble is my most concerning issue but other than that the truck has been awesome.

5 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 07/17/2020

While driving with cruise control on, when adjusting speed, engine will stall out and power steering, brakes stop working, all interior and exterior lights remain on, incident has happened twice within a week.

6 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 05/14/2018

The f250, 2012, 6. 7l, diesel emissions system emits diesel particles into the cabin of the truck. The particles are fine and are a health risk. The particulate filter has been changed several times, but the particles can be seen on the door jams leading into the truck. These particles are fine mist and enter into the cab as well because the cab isn't air tight and the particles into the cab and when breathed in can cause not only lung damage, but cancer. The vehicle has been well maintained.

7 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2018

2012 f250 bought new 2013 46,000 miles. Driving on road. No warning whatsoever. Shuts down. Dealer informs me, water in fuel, not covered by warranty. $9700 repair bill!.

8 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 07/07/2017

When attempting to accelerate for passing slower traffic, vehicle lost power and went into the limp mode. Problem seems most present at around 2000 rpm while attempting to increase speed. It appears that this problem is occurring when the turbo boost is increased. Research of this problem has shown that many owners are experiencing this same problem with the eco boost engine in this and other year models. The NHTSA began an investigation in 2012 but dropped the probe when Ford said they had resolved this issue. No recall has been issued for this problem but it is definitely a "safety issue" for drivers of this equipment. Headed for the Ford dealership tomorrow to see how this can be resolved.

9 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 06/11/2017

Truck give me a stop safely now massage and shut down the motor in the middle of nowhere looked it up on the internet told me it was a bad egt censor had to have the truck towed would not restart.

10 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 04/21/2017

"takata recall" vehicle engine failure at speed, failed egt sensor caused the truck to shut-off in the middle of an interstate.

11 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 01/04/2015

While traveling I-10 west near crestview, FL at approximately 70 mph, I received a Ford diagnostic screen notification to stop vehicle immediately. I pulled over on the side of the interstate and slowed the truck to a stop. The engine shut off immediately when I fully stopped. I attempted to restart the truck, but the truck engine would not even 'turn over'. There was no additional information provided by the Ford diagnostic screen. I was stranded on the side of the interstate with family members and luggage at 8pm on a Sunday night, and 2 hours from home (mississippi). I had the truck towed to the nearest Ford dealership. The next day, the dealership informed me that it was a egt sensor failure. This is unbelievable that a failed sensor would leave me stranded without a previous warning stating the shutdown would occur. At least the truck pcm should notify and allow me to put myself and my loved ones in a safe place if the truck was to be automatically shut off.

12 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 11/12/2014

Caution light came on advising me to safely pull over and stop. I pulled over and stopped, checked oil level. Drove strait to the Ford dealership in huntsville, alabama and they replaced an egt sensor.

13 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 10/15/2014

We were driving in the left lane of four lane highway (two lanes each way) when the sensor warning came on. My husband started to move to the right. The traffic was very light. Before we could get into the right lane the truck died. Had we been in heavy traffic we would have been stalled in the highway. I am reporting this out of concern for other diesel truck drivers.

14 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 06/09/2013

I have had to replace exhaust heat sensors 4 times in my 2012 F-250. The same sensor twice, first at 26k around June 2013 and and again at 46k, oct 2014. I've been stranded 3 times and had to be towed to a dealer. I occasionally pull a 42ft 5th wheel camper and am very worried it will happen while pulling it with no place to pull over. Ford needs to step up to the plate and get a fix for this problem.

15 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 04/02/2012

Almost got hit trying to pass a car. When I pulled out to pass and tried to accelerate the motor started missing badly. Ford suposidly did not have a fix until early this year. My eco bust now has 70,000 miles and Ford wants me to pay for part of the repair. They have never contacted me to inform me of the problem.
