The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed hauling a trailer, the exhaust manifold dropped raw fuel into the exhaust and it caught fire. The contact was able to extinguish the fire. The exhaust filter over maximum limit message was displayed. There were no reported injuries, crash , police report or air bag deployment. The fire department was on the scene. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that cylinder one was down and the engine and transmission needed to be replaced. The mechanic informed the contact that the epf may be damaged and not work. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, who referred to the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 195,000.
While driving at highways speed, transmission suddenly shifted gears and slowed abruptly. It nearly caused an accident. It happened another time and was taken to dealership for service. I have since learned that other Ford vehicle have had recalls for the same issue but not my model. The existing Ford recall should be expanded to include my model.
On August 21,2021 we were about 2 hrs from home meeting some family to visit for awhile my husbandand I are both in our 60's. Just as we were entering lufin TX our truck dropped from 60 mph to 30 with no warning. I pulled to shoulder of the road and truck completely died. If we had been on an interstate there's a possibility the truck would have died in the middle of the interstate hwy with no way of getting out of traffic. Our truck was towed to lufkin Ford since we couldn't afford the $ 394. 00 to have it towed closer to our home. We were told by lufkin Ford our p4 high pressure pump had went out, sending metal shards through our motor a $9400. 00 repair. To this date our truck has not been repaired because there's a problem getting the pump. It seems this is a problem with the high pressure fuel pump in these diesel trucks, cause I was informed there are 6 trucks at this repair shop waiting on the same part so I'm sure this has been an on going problem.
To whom it may concern, hello, my name is holly churco. I purchased a truck in tampa florida and I feel I was clearly a case of fraud and I have no idea how to proceed. I can't afford to sue this dealership on my own but I would like to see that they can not continue to operate in this manner or take advantage of other people the way they did me. If you can help me please contact me and I will do whatever it takes to help prosecute these people. Holly churco 5185242570 hchurco@gmail. Com attached are all the documents of what took place. 1. A dated account of the transaction from me. 2. Information from the mechanics I got to help me 3. Pictures of the codes that were produced before 24 hours after I had the vehicle. 4. An invoice from Ford telling the dealership what needed to happen to repair this truck. 5. A printout the procedures to fix the truck from Ford. 6. Bill from the person I eventually hired to repair the truck when the dealership refused to guarantee his mechanics work, even though he knew I would be hauling a 9900 pound RV up the east coast highways. Thank you for your consideration and time. Have a great day, holly churco.

The bcm module on 2014 F-250 superduty is attached to the parking brake release plate under the driver's side dashboard. Normal use of the parking brake release causes the bcm connector to become loose. After multiple normal uses the bcm connector faults and shuts down the ability to start the vehicle. My issue occurred while driving and I lost ability to monitor speed, rpm, fuel, temp, and other functions. I stopped on the side of the road and turned off my vehicle. It would no longer start. I searched for this problem and found out it was a common problem and roadside steps to fix it (shaking the bcm connector). Doing this temporarily fixed the problem. Ford stated there is no recall on the issue and would not fix it free of charge. There are multiple videos on youtube for 2013, 2014, 2015 year vehicles with the same problem. Even after contacting Ford corporate with videos and forum threads they deny an issue exists. The local dealership wanted about $3,500 to explore and diagnose the problem. My issue started when the air bag light flashed when I disengaged the parking brake: https://youtu. Be/9svuca9giku then the entire bcm connector failed: https://youtu. Be/8i9v6xymxwm.
I purchased a certified pre-owned vehicle on November 13, 2016 and have had to return the truck for service more than 4 times for the same issue and the issue is still not fixed. It is my understanding that there is a malfunction with some 2014-2015 f-super duty 6. 7l diesel vehicles which may exhibit a mil illuminated with dtc p207f. And that this condition may be associated with the powertrain control module (pcm). In each occasion I was driving the truck and first the engine light would turn on, second, my speed would be limited to less than 50mph, and finally, the engine would go into idle mode with no immediate restart. I have had to tow my truck four times due to this problem. The work order reports indicate that the manufacturer has performed the repairs but the issue continues and they are not able to determine the cause. This defect substantially impairs the use of my truck and has created a safety concern in which I no longer feel safe driving under no circumstance. I demand a replacement or refund that includes all the out of pocket expense occurred for rentals and alternate transportation each time my truck was in for repair with the manufacturer.
