Body problems of the 2017 Ford F-250 - part 2

Tl-the contact owns a 2017 Ford F-250. The contact stated that if he opens the front passenger door from the inside it will not close properly. The dealer springdale Ford, inc. 2259 n thompson st, springdale, ar 72764 (866) 767-5595 stated that the actuator cable from the interior door is bent and that was causing the door not shut securely. The manufacturer's system was down and they told the contact to call back in a few hours. The failure mileage 36,010. Tf.

While driving with a cross wind, especially on two lane roads when passed in the opposite direction by a semi, the hood jumps (pops) up approximately 1-2 inches on the rear edge. In high cross winds the distance has been higher (3-4) inches. Have had to dealer look at it and talked to Ford "chat line". Their suggestion was to report it here. The rear hinges allow the hood to rotate up when latched . The front latch is taking an excessive amount of upward force in these situations and likely to fail or metal fatigue. Believe the cross wind effectively creates a vacuum which is increased by a passing vehicle which "sucks" the hood upwards. There is a normal "vibration" or shaking of the hood likely because of the lightening of the material. This is not what I am referring to. Ongoing/repetitive issue. Has occurred since new.

The contact stated that the cup holder assembly in the console was not sealed; therefore, liquid leaked into the console compartment and the console lights failed. Additionally, smoke emerged from the console and the cabin filled up with smoke. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer (mclarty daniel Ford, 2609 south walton boulevard, bentonville, ar 72712, (479) 250-0401) who stated that the wires needed to be replaced due to water damage. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was declined under the warranty. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the repairs would be at the owner's expense due to user error. The failure mileage was 56,144.

The contact and his wife had no control as the vehicle sped through three lanes. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was not towed. The vehicle needed a shim installed because the original shim detached from the vehicle's body. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 3,000.

When temperature drops below freezing moisture get in door panels and freezes the locking system so that the does will not stay closed, making my truck unsafe to drive. This has happened multiple time when on the road was afraid for passenger and animals in the truck.

The driver's door would not close/latch. Temp. Was low 20's this morning and when I tried to close the driver's door it would not latch. I had to slammed the door 10 or 12 times before the door would latch close. This is similar to the problems the f-150 has been having.
