The back window shattered after turning on the rear window defroster. This put back seat occupants in harm. It impaired my vision. There were no warnings to this failure. My insurance company has been notified. Independent auto repair & glass repair shops have inspected the damage. Window must be replaced.
The black plastic "roof rails" on the roof of my truck began cracking several months ago - I reported this to the dealership and just got excuses. I showed this to my dealership again on Friday and they said they would look into it. Today while driving the truck the entire roof rail came off and flew into traffic on the highway. . Luckily no one hit it or did it cause a crash, etc. However when I did look this issue up on the internet it seems Ford already has an active recall for this type of problem on another model car, however google searching the issue with my truck I found hundreds of complaints on different bulleting boards, and the other problem is apparently Ford is not covering the replacement of this part, and the only way to replace it is to remove the rear window (which has also resulted in many shattered windows) Ford did a recall for a similar issue with the Ford explorer - the Ford reference number for this recall is 21s22. I fell this is an issue that should be addressed and how Ford plans to fix this as I even purchased an extended "platinum warranty" from Ford on this vehicle - - yet now they are refusing to do anything I dont have to pay hundreds of dollars to fix or risk shattering my windows.
The tail gate of my f250 drops inadvertently. It dropped while I was hauling a trailer and was severely damaged. Ford is repairing this damage and has replace the latch and wiring harness to prevent it from happening again however 1 day after the recall repairs were completed, the tail came down on its own yet again. The fix did not work. I notified the dealership and they said they would notify Ford.
Tailgate has opened over 30 times while driving. Recall 19s48 was preformed but problem persists. Dealer has attemped to repair 7 times. Tailgate opened on freeway leaving dealership 5 minutes after tailgate recall rewiring service. A computer memory box was installed until tailgate opened again then dash mounted tailgate switch was replaced twice. Tailgate has been damaged and repaired by dealer when opened at highway speeds while towing and contacted my trailer turning to get off the road. Very unsafe condition since truck is used primarily for towing. When tailgate drops down on highway I cannot turn vehicle of will damage tailgate and/or trailer. This forces me to pull over in emergency lane and close tailgate while vehicles drive by at speed. Ford customer care number was called and refered me to another dealer to attempt repair, but that dealer wants to charge me to diagnose problem. Ford motor company will not help in fixing this problem. Consumers need a class action lawsuit or something that will get fmc to honor recall commitment. Fmc is not supporting local dealers attempt to fix problem and is making is making consumers pay the price.
While driving at 70mph on I-565 in huntsville, al, the vehicle suddenly began to shake violently after driving over a rough spot in the highway. Steering wheel was shaking and vehicle was shaking. I was able to stop the vehicle, and the shaking stopped and did not reoccur.
I had the recall for the unintended tailgate opening fixed at the dealer in July of 2020. However on multiple occasions I noticed the the tailgate would open unintentionally. I thought it was my key fob in my pocket getting activated , but soon dismissed that theory. The tailgate would sometimes open when I am shifting from park to drive. Several times it would open when I release the e brake. I have contacted the dealer, but all they can offer is " we'll take a look at it".
I am on my second hood. The factory hood started failing at the latch. The hood begins to crack out around the loop that locks into the latch. It came apart structure wise and I had it replaced. No recalls were found in any system. This isn't the only truck in our fleet that has done this. We've had two others. Now, after a recent replacement, here I am again with the same problem. Hood is cracking out again, around the hoop and it flies up and dances in the wind and especially passing semi trucks. This has to be a recall and I cannot be the only one with this trouble. Hood feels as if it will break away and end up on the wind screen. Picture below is of the original factory hood.
This is a new 2019 Ford 250 super duty truck. In February 2019 traveling at about 75 mph( on a major highway) & I hit a groove and my front end went in to a horrible heavy head shake. It was not the first time but this was the worst by far. In dallas traffic surrounded on all sides. The only way to stop this head shake is by hitting the brakes hard. To do that on a major highway with traffic on all sides is horrifying. Took it to north central Ford and there is a damper recall (among others). They replaced the damper. These dampers are not much bigger than a golf club. Are not made or rated to support a truck with over a 10,000 lb weight limit. Now here we are in July and its back in the shop. Since March there has been 2/3 more upgrades to this damper. Because of the strong head shake? it ruined other things connected to damper (drag link/bushing). Even with this new upgraded damper they expect it'll be back in. They offer a after market " dual-damper" (700$) that should correct the problem. This is a new truck and it should come with super duty parts!!! someone is going to hurt themselves and or others because of negligence. Truck should be out of shop tomorrow, I called corporate to try and get the dual damper approved and I am on hold. So as it stands this will be the 3rd damper that has been replaced since getting it in October 2019.
Employee was utilizing side step to obtain an item from the toolbox when the plastic portion of the step broke away, causing the employee to lose balance and fall to the ground. The vehicle was stationary.

While driving through the rocky mountains on I-70 at 60 mph, a 1000 pound boulder fell off the mountain and hit my truck at high speed on the driver's front wheel. The air bags did not deploy.
Driver door latch freezes. Hasn't happened yet on other doors, but then they are not used much. Occurs during wet/cold/below freezing weather. Truck is new, 3600 miles. First time door opened but would not latch closed again. Hard closure of door and multiple lock/unlock attempts freed latch and it worked. Second time, 48 hours after first. Repeated above process and door latched. Third time was this morning (1/15/19) . Several inches of snow and temperatures well below freezing. First attempt this morning, the door unlocked and then would not close. Sprayed alcohol into door latch and door latched closed, and then would not reopen. Used manual key to free up frozen lock mechanism. This is the same problem that Ford issued fsa 18n03 to previous year f150 and f250 trucks to fix same issue but the fsa has not yet been applied to 2019 model years, even though it appears Ford did not fix the root cause of the issue for the 2019 f250 models. Vehicle was stationary.
