Tailgate problems of the 2019 Ford F-250

When I left work my tailgate was closed and had not been opened for several days. When I got home, my tailgate was open and all my tools had fallen out of the truck. My truck was serviced 2 years ago for this type of issue. The repair needed to be done twice as the first time my tailgate would no longer open at all.

Was driving down the highway , tailgate opened on its own and tailgate fell off.

Truck tailgate opens randomly. This was a problem on over 20 occasions before the Ford superduty tailgate recall was implemented. However, since the recall fix was implemented on my truck in March 2020, the tailgate has opened on it's own at least 6 more times! usually I discover the tailgate has opened upon reaching a destination, but of the several times it has opened and I've heard the thunk, it seems to occur when the truck is at rest and I have just shifted the transmission from park to drive, drive to reverse, reverse to drive, etc. Most recently on 10/26/2020.

Unintended tailgate openings ; going down the road at about 60 miles per hour the tailgate came open and lost some cargo . The vehicles behind mine had to change lanes as well as go off the road in order to avoid a collision . This has happened over 11 times . Three times the vehicle was not moving , all other times the vehicle was moving. Ford has tried to to repair the vehicle with no success . This vehicle has been out of service over 70 days since new . The entire wiring harness has been replaced , Ford put in the identical harness with no new improvements . The problem still exists . Ford also claims they don't have any problems with unintended tailgate openings . This a serious safety hazard . The vehicle was on a major highway when this event occured .

Tailgate opened on its own causing damage to tailgate while backing trailer. This happened during cold weather down to 5 degrees on hunting trip and happened several times. Has not happened since in warmer weather. Wondering if it could be frozen latch ?.

Tailgate latch gets stuck and also drops while driving and turning. The tailgate dropped involuntarily when I was hauling my horse trailer and damaged both my truck tailgate and my trailer jack. I had to close the tailgate again to get my horses off the road and now the tailgate is stuck and I cannot unhitch my trailer.
