Delayed shifting are not shifting at all they reset the transmission numerous times but still having the same issue. It’s all part of the adaptive learning transmission system that Ford has.
Bushing sliding down the cdf clutch hub causing fluid pressure to bleed by on sealing ring causing multiply/potential problems. Vechile was inspected by Ford after going in for a recall that was already on the transmition due to the planetary 4 assembly and this problem was found. The recall didn't fail this part did and put debris throughout the transmition. When taken in, it had a hard shift while driving and while putting it in gear. Truck has 98,500 miles, but had been doing this for about 5 to 6 months. Ford required us to drop of the truck for 4 to 6 weeks before they would look at it. We couldn't make an appointment for the recall.

You are driving and when the transmission goes to change gears it has like a dead spot in it an hesitates sometimes a couple seconds sometimes a little longer but it could cause you yo get rear ended then it will kick in real rough and go . There are recalls on the Ford trucks transmission but not for my year of truck but its the same transmission the 10 speed and its doing the exact say thing as the complaints in the recall. I took it up around two months after I bought it and they told me this is how these trucks shift that is not correct at all . My warranty has just ran out and Ford does not want to stand behind it. They should be made to cover any truck with this transmission in it just not certain trucks .

Parts distribution disconnect.
At 107,000 I lost 10th gear on the highway while pulling a trailer and was almost involved in a collision. The collar of the f250 10 speed is just as bad as the 2018 10 speed on f150s and they are failing at 100k. Complete new transmission needed. This should be recalled and I should be refunded. This is insanely dangerous to lose power while driving.

The contact stated that the failure decreased as he decelerated, and he was able to continue driving. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.
Transmission locks rear wheels when it shifts 3rd to 4th gear nearly caused accident. Cannot get parts to repair for 6 months or more. Can on get a rebuild for $5500. Plus labor. I see hundreds of complaints on this transmission not good for an $85. 000 truck very unsafe.
Trucks transmission is harsh engagement, hard shift delayed shift. Hangs up in gear, throwing wrench light and codes since 2022, other trucks of same year and manufacture date and plant made are matching this truck, but truck was not included in safety recall. Took to dealer 3 times prior stated couldn't find anything wrong. Truck is equipped with 10r140 automatic transmission .

The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
Transmission stuck in 7th gear three times. Transmission failed and is not fixable. Transmission has to be replaced. Ford has several recalls on the transmission but my truck doesn’t fall under the VIN recall list.
Transmission shifts into gear very harsh. While driving accelerator “gas pedal” stops working. Almost hit by other automobiles while leaving intersections or make turns do to sudden loss of power.
This vehicle was a 2 year old used one owner truck purchased from a Ford dealership. The dealership repaired an issue with the transmission which was based on harsh engagement when putting the truck in gear forwards and reverse. 2 months after receiving the truck and being repaired, the issue is happening again. There is a service bulletin and Ford is aware of the issue but is not currently doing anything about it. This is a defective transmission and poses a safety risk. The lurch is so hard that you have put all your weight on the brake pedal to put it in gear and hope nothing or no person is in front or behind the truck and the truck happens to lurch enough to cause damage or bodily harm. Contacted the Ford dealership and they want to pull the transmission to find the issue but all parts and new transmission are on back order with no availability date. They need to do this in order to reach out to Ford. However, they have a current truck that has been sitting in the shop for 6 months with no available parts. Called Ford corporate and they are not willing to work with me unless the truck is in the shop. My only two options right now are to drive the truck and hope the transmission does not lock up on the highway due to a failure or let a truck that I am making payments on sit in the shop for an unknown amount of time. Ford is forcing me into continuing to drive the truck as is with the potential risk of a transmission completely breaking at anytime on the highway.

The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would hesitate and jerk upon depression of the accelerator pedal without warning. The manufacturer had been notified of the recall. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the repair. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-250. The contact stated while driving 70 mph, the vehicle experienced hard shifts while jerking. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact slowed down until the failure ceased. The contact then resumed normal driving. The contact stated that the failure had been reoccurring while driving at various speeds. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 22v256000 (power train). The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The components in questions is transmission. My sister had borrowed my truck. She put the truck in park and walked back inside to grab an item. Her dog ran out of the house and at that moment she realized the truck was rolling forward. Luckily they was a passenger in the passenger seat that was quick to act and climbed over the middle console and pressed on the brake. There is a video of the insistent. The passenger then confirmed the truck was in park and moved the selector to reverse then park then reverse and park again. Please note the truck was on relatively flat ground. Not a huge incline hill. The truck could have killed the dog or even ran over my sister in her pursuit to get her dog away from the truck. They problem was attempted to be recreated at the moment of the incident but wasn’t retractable at the time. I will be checking it every time I drive the truck from hear on. No one was hurt so a report wasn’t filed with the police nor was it taken to the dealer for inspection. There was no warning lights illuminated at the time. However the gear selector did show park. I’m unable to upload the video just segments of the video. There is a full video.
While driving and coming to stop two times the transmission downshifted rough causing the wrench light to come on saying powertrain/ four-wheel drive fault. Had to have the vehicle towed to my home and make appointment to have vehicle looked at the next week. I have read other forums and many people have been stating the same exact thing has happened to them in the 17+ year super duty’s and Ford has been secretly fixing the issue when customers bring vehicle in for oil changes or service. I also read that the transmission doing this causes metal shavings to end up in the fluid and clog lines. I feel this is a severe issue if I would have been towing, it would have caused an accident.

Manufacturer recall number22s22 NHTSA recall number22v256 for the past three years, I have been trying to get gullo Ford in conroe, TX to perform the recall repair mentioned above on my vehicle. Multiple times I have tried to call or visit the the dealership in person to schedule the repair. Every time I am told that they either do not have any openings and that they are booked for the full year, or do not have the parts to perform the recall fix. I am then told that they will contact me to schedule an appointment to perform the recall, however, each time I am never contacted back. To make matters worse, for maintenance that I paid out of pocket during this time frame, they gladly perform the work needed with no push back or delays. I am trying to determine what options I have at this point to ensure my vehicle recall is performed as I'm afraid it will eventually cause safety issues for me and my family.

Going down road cruise set in a 4 lane heavy traffic my truck dies like a light comes on and cars are bumper to bumper I’m trying to pull over my children are in the vehicle they go to crying scared finally I got half way off the road and got out and with few good peoples help pushed it out of the road I switched on and off the truck I could hear the pump near the tank making all kinds of noises I new then my fuel pump had went out.
The transmission shifts hard both up and down. There was a Ford customer satisfaction program 21b03, for which I never received. I contacted Ford and was told that since the program had expired there was nothing they could do. However, this is a known issue that Ford has admitted. This is a safety hazard because the transmission jumps around to various gears. If a vehicle is following and the transmission chooses a gear that is lower than appropriate, the tires will lock until the appropriate speed is reached for that gear.
Transmission will not shift and sends you into high rpms just for you to let out and eventually have to stop or put in neutral to sort of reset shifting. It also will, out of nowhere, not move when you hit accelerator. This happened to me several times pulling into traffic. Hit the accelerator to go only to have enough to get you in traffic and no more acceleration. A delay for up to 3-5 seconds. This was the most dangerous aspect of the truck. The other dangerous aspect due to transmission is that when putting in gear the truck would slam you forward. If you didnt have a firm foot on brake you would be slamming into whatever is in front of you. When I say form foot, I mean damn near standing in it. It is in Ford shop currently. Not sure what to do with this truck after I get it back. Been in shop 3 weeks without any uodate to what is wrong.
About a year after I purchased the truck, the transmission started shifting extremely hard on occasion making a loud bang and the truck lunges on the shift. The truck shifts so hard on occasions that it sounds like it could explode. Transmission failure could cause numerous safety issues for myself, passengers and other drivers; flying parts sudden stop and/or loss of control while driving to mention a few. I have mentioned the shifting problem on at least two occasions when the truck has been at a Ford dealership for regular maintenance but I was told it not shift hard for them and that nothing is wrong with it. I am 71 years old and worked on vehicles all my life and the occasional extremely hard shifting is not normal and is an indicator to me that something is not right. No warning lights come on prior to, during or after the hard shift to my knowledge. I have read numerous complaints by other f250 owners, recalls to repair gen 1 trannys and in a lot of instances the gen1 transmission was replaced with gen 2. I would prefer a “new” transmission. Thank you.
Vehicle clunks and lunges forward on start up (key & remote start) while in park.
On numerous occasions when trying to accelerate to merge into traffic, the throttle does not respond to the request for multiple seconds, then power is returned and truck lunges. This has caused merging traffic to not understand my intention and they overcompensate. This also happens when trying to overcome another vehicle, which could lead to inability and raises risk of not having enough anticipated lead time to overcome other vehicle.
Vehicle demonstrates repeatable uncommanded acceleration when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. Also demonstrates uncommanded acceleration when engine braking engages. Occasionally vehicle operates at a uncommanded high idle of 1200-1500 rpm vs the normal 600. Mostly happens when slow maneuvering such as in a parking lot or other tight space. It has happened ever since new and it has 5100 miles on it now. Purchasing dealer said it was normal. Others are reporting the same issue in forums online.
Severe hesitation when accelerating from a crawl. There is a definite issue with either the 10 speed trans or the throttle.
