2 Engine Turbo-charger problem of the 2004 Ford F-250

Failure Date: 04/08/2005

Consumer had has recall work done on 2004 Ford f250 super duty. The first recall was in April on the turbo bracket. Dealership put the bracket on the turbo charger on the top of the engine. Dealership did not tighten the hose back, and all the oil leaked out. The second recall was on the rear planetary that was mandatory recall. The dealer tried to fix this, but the owner was not satisfied with the repair work. He said that the vehicle vibrated to badly. The next recall was the fuel control module, the dealer repaired the vehicle, and currently the truck was dying in the middle of the road after it warmed up. Consumer talked to the dealership where he originally bought the truck, and they could not work on the truck because consumer had work done somewhere else. Consumer talked to a regional manager, who said that the truck was operating normally. The truck could sit for a few minutes and will start back up. . Consumer could not have anyone else work on the truck, or Ford will void the warranty for one hundred thousand miles on the engine and components and 36,000 miles on the drive train. Consumer wanted to file a complaint. The information about the recall was with the consumers lawyer. The consumer does have pending lawsuit against Ford.

3 Engine Turbo-charger problem of the 2003 Ford F-250

Failure Date: 11/01/2004

: the contact stated when the turbo started to flutter and the truck either stalled or almost stalled. The vehicle stalled 6 times and on two of the occasions it would not start. This first incident occurred in November 2004 and the most recent occurrence was August 4 2006. This incident occurred only while accelerating. The vehicle has been taken to the dealer 4 times however they were unable to repair the vehicle.

4 Engine Turbo-charger problem of the 2004 Ford F-250

Failure Date: 05/01/2004

- the contact owns a 2004 Ford f250 superduty 6. 0l. The contact stated that while driving 50 mph he lost turbo charge trying to accelerate to get onto the freeway. This happened when the vehicle overheated as well. Also, the contact stated that the engine stalled. He had taken the vehicle to the dealership, where they have made repairs 5 times to date. This had been an ongoing problem since the vehicle was purchased. The failure mileage was 15,000, and the current mileage was 23,000.
