Drivers side front brake line is passing thru the coil spring. While performing the trucks first break job I observed this. The passanger side is ok. Truck has not been any accedent. Dealer said no big deal, it hasn't failed yet. I am the original owner. Truck is not used for plowing or business. To me it looks like it was built with the wrong bracket or to short a line but I know the line should not go thru the spring. The potential for abrasion on the line is high. I have pictures of both sides of break lines.
Truck started missing and backfiring when accelerating from a stop, lost power assist to brakes, limped 1/2 mile to my house . Engine was clattering , missing, stalling and backfiring. Check engine light on code p0307. Broke #7 valve spring(intake) , lost keepers, dropped valve , which piston hit, Ford dealer say it needs an engine for $10,300. 00 and no coverage at 69,000. Broken valve springs are a known problem . Dangerous when you lose power assist to brake pedal because of no vacuum. Request Ford service to assist because springs are defective.
Lost all brake pressure whilst driving on the highway. I had to push the brake pedal all the way to the floor to stop.
