A mechanic arrived at the residence and diagnosed the vehicle with high-pressure and low-pressure fuel pump failures due to the metal shavings inside the fuel rail and fuel injectors. Additionally, the egr valve was damaged. The contact was advised that the entire fuel system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-350. The contact stated that a "water in the fuel system" warning message appeared on the instrument panel. The contact watched videos online that showed him how to drain and prime the fuel system to correct the failure; once he performed the repair, the warning light disappeared. When the contact refueled the vehicle, the warning message displayed, and the vehicle began to hesitate upon depression of the accelerator.
