My back rear view camera quit working immediately about 4 or 4 weeks ago. I tried to see if I had a loose wire but. One seemed loose or broken. I only have a blue screen. My rear facing camera over the cab stop light works fine if the switch is pushed. Now I have noticed there are thousands of Ford vehicles already recalled for rear camera issues. However when I called my dealership I was told I’m not on the recall list. As far as I can tell it’s because my Ford f350 is a 2022 built in July of 2021. I hate to say it but I believe the recall needs to be expanded. As I’m sure there are a whole lot more vehicles with this rear camera issues. Please take this case into consideration and hopefully get it included in the recall.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford f-250. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the center console control screen was blank. The rear-view camera, radio, and other electrical features and functions became inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the accessory interface module (aim) needed to be replaced. The contact restarted the vehicle, but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline. The approximate failure mileage was 55,300.
The contact owns a 2018 Ford F-350. The contact stated that the back-up camera had a glossy covering that developed over time and prevented a clear image. The vehicle had been taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the failure was related to NHTSA campaign number: 19v401000 (equipment) however the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and it was confirmed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact was referred to the NHTSA hotline to file a complaint. The failure mileage was 130,000.
