Warnings Problems of Ford F-350

Charging system fault. Caused multiple error messages like forward camera not available, collision avoidance not available. Then radio goes black and reboots. Several cycles later the dash board goes dark. No speed or rpm anything visible for 5-10 secs, and on some reboots this dark dash lasted 30 seconds. Thankfully while traveling at midnight the head lights and tail lights remain on, just no interior lights during these reboots. New batteries made no difference.

I purchased 2, 2024 f350 super duty's for our highway dept. The camera systems on both trucks failed. This includes the backup camera and forward facing camera. I found a recall notice (24s66) for this exact problem affecting 2024 f350's. I brought mine to the dealership and was informed that my VIN was not included in the recall. The repair would cost $1,200. A check of the second trucks VIN was not included either. I will be filing another report for that truck as well. Consistently shutting off when truck starts. Happens every 5-7 startups and says have advanced traction control serviced at same time.

I was driving on [xxx] in st louis county missouri during rush hours traffic. I experienced a blow out on my drivers front tire. I was surrounded by lots of heavy traffic from passenger cars to tractor trailer going more than 60 mph. I slowly got to the right shoulder. Modot and the state highway patrol blocked the traffic away from us while aaa changed my tire. After I was ready to leave I noticed my traffic early collision warning, and other safety warning systems were not working now. I also noticed my rear view camera was not operating either. This was the first time I noticed any issue with my safety systems. I got. Ew tires and changed them all 6 out. Still my rear view camera is not operating. I did notice Ford was getting ready to put in a recall for rear view camera for f350’s from 2015 to 2025. I do have a 2022 so I feel I am in the recall. Computer-dash info screens and drive modes. I am unable to change or check onboard dash info upon starting vehicle. Dash does not hold settings one day to the next. Unable to get into or change settings such as trailer settings-so can’t change braking effort-dangerous when hauling 20,000# trailer! cannot put truck in tow mode or any other mode-defaults to slippery road mode. Again dangerous. Says hill start assist, hill descent assist and pre-collision assist is unavailable . This is all very potentially dangerous especially when hauling! dealer cannot find problem. After truck is driven a while settings can be re-entered-truck has to be turned off first. Unable to load video of start up.

Multiple electrical issues related to dashboard controls, video sensors, head unit. Controls powering down while driving, sensors throwing multiple error messages. All since 1,500 miles. Ford could not figure out what the issue was so they replaced the wiring harness. After 2 months in the shop I got my vehicle back. 2 weeks later I am getting the same error messages in the dash and has to go back into the shop for the same reason.

I frequently receive messages on the dash that the the truck: vehicle may not start/restart service now, pre-collision assist not available and front camera fault. My truck has died on me which in drive and reverse. My dash and console has powered down while on the freeway then restarted about a minute later. I get these messages but Ford service is too backed up to address the issue within a reasonable amount of time and they will not let me get it serviced outside of their dealer network.

An unknown electrical issue possibly sensor, module or wiring related causes several faults in the system and they appear on the dash. These faults disable many safety features built in to the vehicle and a few convenience features as well. The faults displayed are: "pre-collision assist not available", "hill start assist warning", "service advance trac" and "drive mode not available" when this happens randomly the vehicle will stop producing forward acceleration and slow down very quickly as if I took my foot off the accelerator. When this occurs it is a dangerous situation made worse at higher speeds and I must quickly move off the road without causing an accident. The vehicle has been to the dealer 4 times since new (4765 current miles) and there is no definite solution at this time.

The vehicle upon starting will give two warnings: pre collision not available and steer assist fault service required. This does not happen all the time I turn vehicle off and it resets. I will not this message for awhile and then will occur again I have also notice that my throttle appears to raise on its own while driving. The tail gate also just opens on its own.
