My rearview camera is showing a distorted image and then goes blank while in reverse creating a safety issue while backing up. The camera is doing everything listed in the following recall campaigns: 20c19/22v252 20c19/24v188 20c19/20v575 but Ford says my truck does not qualify for the recall because my VIN is not listed in the recall.

I was driving on [xxx] in st louis county missouri during rush hours traffic. I experienced a blow out on my drivers front tire. I was surrounded by lots of heavy traffic from passenger cars to tractor trailer going more than 60 mph. I slowly got to the right shoulder. Modot and the state highway patrol blocked the traffic away from us while aaa changed my tire. After I was ready to leave I noticed my traffic early collision warning, and other safety warning systems were not working now. I also noticed my rear view camera was not operating either. This was the first time I noticed any issue with my safety systems. I got. Ew tires and changed them all 6 out. Still my rear view camera is not operating. I did notice Ford was getting ready to put in a recall for rear view camera for f350’s from 2015 to 2025. I do have a 2022 so I feel I am in the recall. Please let me know if I should go to my dealer for repairs under the recall. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Sync screen has gone black on radio causing all blind spots to be invisible while parking a large vehicle. I was told by Ford tech support this is a recall in certain year Ford explorers but not in the f series trucks! I looked up the issue on many of Ford forums and it is an unresolved issue. If the rear camera is a recall the image projecting device “sync radio” which is a brain to truck should be as well I would imagine. The laborer and parts for the repair are costly to the company and I’m extremely concerned with how I was treated when this is a known issue with Ford. I paid 62000 for a vehicle that now has a recall for a foggy camera but no recall for the device to visually see 360 degrees around vehicle. Suburban Ford of waterford wants to charge me upwards around 1000. 00 for parts and laborer to fix a known safety issue. All attempts to update have been completed and any Ford provided reset and install options have been performed. Downloaded the 3. 4 update onto thumb drive in the right format and just black screen of death it’s now been named in forums. They push it off as an update but the years being monitored have faulty apim modules. Causing screens to have no image, sound, and handsfree safety features. Please help me resolve this concern! thank you, brad muckenhirn 248-941-1290 bmuckin86@hotmail. Com.

I have an f350 dually that we use to tow on a regular basis. It is designed to be able to run a 5th wheel or gooseneck, which means the rear tailgate needs to be removed. When you remove the tailgate, none of the cameras on the vehicle work anymore. It would make sense if all cameras but the one on the tailgate would still work (since that one is no longer on the vehicle). But literally all the cameras, front, sides, and load watching, all become disabled even though they are still on the vehicle. If there was a safety recall on the wrong screen showing up on the backup camera. . . I would imagine this is an even bigger safety concern not having cameras at all. Especially the load checking camera by the third breaklight. That camera could be very invaluable for safe hauling practices to be able to continually check and have eyes on your load. And having the side view cameras available while towing is also a very valuable safety feature for getting through tight places such as gas stations or toll plazas. Dodge cameras all still work when the tail gate is removed. And, I believe previous years of the f250 and 350 all still work when you remove the tailgate. This seems like a major oversight on the 2023 f350s that could be a major safety concern. It is a well known problem on the forums/internet. . . Curious why it hasn't been fixed yet or deemed a recall issue. Hopefully NHTSA can help the consumers with this problem. <3 thank you for your consideration!.

Safety recall notice 22s51 / NHTSA recall 22v644 we were notified on September 2022 of this recall after noticing our rear camera was defective. As of April 23, 2023, the manufacturer has failed to remedy this safety recall. Ford is saying the remedy (rear view camera parts) are not available. I am asking that the NHTSA engage with Ford to expedite resolution of this recall.
The 360 camera system on the 2019 f350 is blurry and very difficult to see objects when backing-up. This is an onging problem and the Ford dealer in devine texas tried to fix it one year ago. There is an active recall (Ford 22s51) but the hardware is not avalible yet. Ford needs to be pushed to get this resolved ASAP as it is a safety issue.
Ford trucks have a known issue of cameras fogging up with condensation. Becomes very difficult to see where you’re backing into. The condensation gets so bad you can’t see at all sometimes. These trucks are big and need the cameras to assist in and out of tight spaces or keep you from rolling over something without knowing it.

The same problem as the recall is 20s33. Torgue converter damper fracture. The truck was sold with technical problems of the backup camera, that totally doesn’t work till now. The biggest problems starts on 07 th of October 2020, when I noticed a huge noise in the car according to the transmission system. On the 08 th of October 2020, I have been to dealership located at 8445 45 th st lyons, IL, 60534, and I left the car at their service center to diagnose the technical problem and for sure to solve it. During one week they can’t diagnose the problem. After that, they called me, and said that the problem was diagnosed but unfortunately they didn’t have the necessary spare parts, because the Ford motor company doesn’t produce more this kind of spare parts. But how it’s possible to sell the cars without necessaries spare parts, what have to do the consumer if the car is a new one and it brakes? they didn’t repair the truck in 30 days; I called the Ford customer service, but the ms at the phone told me that they can’t solve such kind of problems, and I have to find another dealership who can repairs the truck. According to the law they have to repair the car in 30 days, and they didn’t, the car it’s worse then it was before. And now I don’t know what to do, why the car new warranty doesn’t work, the additional premium care warranty doesn’t work. And I have to say that the truck is a new one, with 58 000 miles. I paid a lot of money for this car, and now I’m in the situation that I have to pay the credit rate and I have no possibility to do it, because the truck is broken and I can’t work. Now I drove the truck to another service (not Ford) where I was told the cost of the repair would cost $7. 000. They said that I cannot drive the truck now because it is dangerous.
