Ford F-450 owners have reported 1 problem related to horn assembly (under the electrical system category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
: the contact stated there is not enough clearance on the hub pilot rear wheels to be able to remove the wheels. In 2004 an independent repair shop used a cutting torch to remove the wheels in pieces. At that time the repair shop applied two new rear wheels and remounted the tires. Now the same thing is happening with the replacement wheels. Additionally the horn blows on its own. An independent mechanic replaced the horn relay. Shortly after the replacement the horn sounded again on its own. This is more likely to happen in damp/ humid weather conditions. The dealership was made aware of the problems.
