I have a 2016 Ford Fiesta this model car does not come with a gas cap. I've noticed after I filled my car up with gas my car stutters and stalls out and sometimes doesn't start right away this goes away after 3 or 4 times is starting the car back up I took it to the dealership and they told me that my purge valve for the Ford Fiesta was defective I've already had this repaired and believe this repair has fixed the problem I've read of other people of the same year make and model having similar issues apparently because the has a capless gas tank this creates air pockets in the fuel tank which messes up the purge valve over time.

Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that when fuel the vehicle tank, the vehicle almost stalled and spotter in idle very low. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired under warranty two years ago for the same failure. However, the failure recurred. The contact called sunnyvale Ford, 650 e el camino real, sunnyvale, CA 94087, and informed them of the failure and the contact was informed to schedule an appointment for a diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer due to the repair and fees. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist and referred the contact to NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 67,000. Aw.

I was driving on interstate 95 at 70 miles per hour when my vehicle just turned off. I was driving during normal conditions, on 12/09/2019 in florida. All of the dash lights remained on and the vehicle gave no indications that the engine was going to cut off. I had just had my battery tested a few days prior and it was in good working order. I was able to safely pull my vehicle to the side of the interstate this time and the vehicle started again when I tried. It stalled a second time before I was able to merge back into traffic. It restarted again and I was able to make it to my destination. I have looked at the recall lists for Ford and the 2014-2015 Ford Fiesta is on the list with the issue my vehicle experienced but my VIN is not included in that recall. Will there be a recall on my VIN? the current recall deals with the fuel pump stalling the vehicle. The recall number relating to the fuel pump plating is 14s30. Nhtsa campaign number is 15v005000.

After and while gassing up car stalls and does not start up right way. . Sounds like evap sensor and canister issues and Ford does not want to know about it. . And car only has 60000 miles.

Received a costumer service letter (15b22/19n07) stating issue with transmission tcm and to bring car into dealer for evaluation/fix. Once car was brought into dealership was told we needed to pay $200 for a diagnostic test of the car to see if it is eligible for the recall. We have had several issues with the transmission in this vehicle such as skipping gears, loss of power and the car even stalling out. If this is a recall issue due to defective transmission I feel I as a consumer should not have to pay a dime to fix their problem. I am aware of a large news story that involved this particular vehicle transmission issues resulting in several deaths due to accident caused by this problem.

While driving the automatic transmission shutters when going into second gear and stalls before accelerating. Some times the car won't start and it's not related to the battery or the starter. It also had a purge valve replacement three months after purchase. A few months later I had to replace it again this time it wasn't under warranty. I received a recall notice about a year ago warning my vehicle may randomly stall due to a defect with this vehicle. About 6 months later I started experiencing random stalls mainly while stopped at red lights. I have lost my recall notice and when I contacted my local Ford dealer they said the VIN associated with my vehicle was not on the recall list. However, Ford has a public recall relating to a fuel pump warning the exact problem my vehicle is experiencing and it is a huge safety concern. Ford refuses to repair the vehicle.

Recently my Fiesta has been shutting off while driving. It is a manual transmission and I am not stalling. It happens most often while driving at low speeds or switching gears. It is very dangerous and scary.

Takata recall my vehicle has been stalling out soon after fueling and requiring 3-5 minutes before being able to star the vehicle. Often times after fueling the vehicle does not start back up right away. In the last 4 months, I've been seeing this issue progress even after speaking with and getting a diagnosis from the Ford dealership where the vehicle was purchased. In the last 3 weeks. My 2015 Ford Fiesta has stalled out on me while driving 4 times! I can literally be driving on the freeway when the battery and engine lights turn on and my vehicle automatically shuts off. This was a previous recall an I have not been able to get any solid responses as to whether or not my vehicle still qualifies for this recall. This issue is a serious safety concern and the fact that Ford is not giving solid answers as to whether or not they will fix it is beyond me. I still have 2 years left on my warranty and they are still giving me a hard time.

The vehicle stalls while driving or turning and the transmission warning keeps coming up on the dashboard also it has made the engine indicator stay on. When the car is parked and on it seems it has no issues then when you take it out of park it starts stalling immediately.

After filling the car with fuel, car tries to stall and drop rpm's while idling. Car stalled twice while rolling to a red light after filling up. Problem goes away after 10-15 minutes of driving. Rpm while idling is highly unpredictable after filling up.

While idling at stop lights or city driving the car will drop rpm's or stall out on it's own. Has happened while making a u-turn, turning, and idling. It happens randomly and Ford will not take the issue seriously.

I've only owned my Fiesta for 2 years and now my car won't move when I am in drive or reverse as I step on the gas peddle to accelerate. Before this, my car would jerk forward when I would go to accelerate and act as if it was going to stall out in the middle of traffic. I've taken it to Ford before to get the recalls fixed because my passenger door swung open while I was driving and they fixed the transmission and clutch recall but now I'm having problems again.

While stopped (at a red light, stop lights, etc. ), when the accelerator is pressed, the car will stall and not move. The vehicle acts as if it is off. I had to double check to make sure that it did not stall (which it does frequently). Once I pressed the brake and waited a few seconds, the car finally moved again. This is scary because it often occurs in traffic. Also, when backing up, the car will shudder while in reverse and act as if it wants to stall out. There will be times when it actually does stall and completely shuts down. I will have to turn off the ignition and restart the car before I can move it any further.

Car stalls when driving, usually when foot is taken off gas pedal, ie when coming to a stop. Thought it was because of a fault with the ac compressor (which has been a problem since the car was new). Compressor was replaced in July and car was still stalling so returned to dealer on 9/16/16 and was told it was the electronic throttle body failing. Was told it was an 'uncommon' issue. Did research and found the 'customer satisfaction" (recall) of over a million Ford vehicles for this issue, but of course not any Fiesta's. Have just found multiple complaints for the same vehicle as mine with the same issue. I will be contacting Ford directly but based on my experience trying to get my deductible waved for the ac repair I don't expect much. They are the worst company for customer service.

Transmission constantly slips. Transmission surges and stalls daily. The transmission actually completely went out 2 days after purchase and was replaced - the transmission never worked properly. This car was in for service on 4 occasions and left service with the same or worse symptoms. Earnhardt Ford in chandler, az stated it was fixed each time and pretended they did not feel the slips, surges and stalls when test drove with me after service each time. I was told there was nothing more they were going to do. **I do not have service dates with me at this time - the date in "when did this happen" is a guesstimate of the time around servicing.

I bought my car in March 2016 and noticed right away when I shift from 1st to 2nd my car seems to stall/shake and I have it in automatic, when I have in the kind of shift that I do it doesn¿t do it. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and stated that the contact should keep the receipts in case of a recall. No assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 7.
