2 Car Will Not Start problem of the 2014 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 07/15/2017

Purchased a used 2014 Ford Fiesta, after a month of purchase, I began to have major mechanical issues with the car. The car wouldn't start and even stopped while driving.

3 Car Will Not Start problem of the 2011 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 12/12/2016

The vehicle was purchased brand new. We have already taken it to Ford repair shops a number of times for replacement parts, repairs, recalls, etc. Recently, the vehicle would not start (among other continuing problems with shaking while braking, jerking when shifting gears--both of which we've already had worked on several times) so we had it taken to a Ford dealer near where we live. We found out the problem is with the transmission control module. It turns out that Ford has a csp for this problem. However, we did not know about it and by the time we started having problems, we were past the mileage for the warranty coverage. I am extremely displeased with this vehicle and the customer service we have received. I believe it is bias and discriminatory to repair problems you know about only if they are on vehicles with mileage under 150,000. If there is a known problem. Ford should fix it and fix it for everyone, not just people who do not drive their vehicle frequently. This car has had known transmission problems and numerous recalls already. The problem is, every time we have it worked on, it never fixes it completely.

4 Car Will Not Start problem of the 2014 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 05/05/2016

I leased the car through my bank on may 5th 2016 with just over 35,000 miles. Two months into that the car didn't start and all electronic lights were flickering. It displayed transmission malfunction. I towed the car to a big Ford repair shop. They said it needed a new transmission update and a new clutch. They took care of it. This has happened seven (7) times since I got the car may 2016. Pretty much every four months. It is completely inconvenient and costly. I have also been having problems with the evap fuel components. I have a check engine light on now and it needs to be serviced. The last time I got a transmission update from Ford was in March 2019. My car now barely has 66,200 miles so it's very disappointing the amount of work and transmission issues I've had to deal with. I still owe $4,800 on the car. I leased it for $12,000. I am hoping I am able to get some help or some kind of compensation for dealing with the issues for years. I traded in a good working Jeep to get this car because I thought it would be good on gas and economical. This is my first Ford car. I will probably never buy another Ford car. I wouldn't want to get burned again. Thank you for your time.

5 Car Will Not Start problem of the 2011 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 04/26/2016

My 2011 Ford Fiesta se will not start. Electrical issues , pcm possibly. When you try to start the car all lights flicker, battery is fine and continues to attempt to start even after the key is turned back in non-starting position. The radio and usb/charging ports don't work either. This potential repair is going to cost me more than this thing is worth. Ford shouldn't sell crap. I bought this car because I needed reliable safe transportation not to have a money pit with no transportation and a loan. I literally just spent $1000 at a garage for maintenance and it wouldn't start when I went to pick it up yesterday. Now the Ford dealership is guessing pm! I shouldn't have to pay for this, Ford should recall the pcm and fix the electrical or stop ripping people off with garbage.

6 Car Will Not Start problem of the 2011 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 06/01/2015

Rear passenger power window suddenly quit, needed manual assist to close. Two days later tried to start manual transmission with only loud clicks, power to lights surged with each click, headlights were not dim, battery good. Engine would not crank, mileage odometer kept changing going up and down on miles, dash would go blank then come back on. Needed to be towed to shop.

7 Car Will Not Start problem of the 2011 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 04/23/2015

As I was leaving work pulling out of the road I stepped on the gas and the car stalled. Making multiple vehicles come to a screeching stop almost causes multiple wrecks. This was the first time. Other times I was in traffic passing people or just driving down the road and the car started to shake and would stall not accelerating. Last of all my car would not start at least 3 times in one week due to code p2837 and p2832.

10 Car Will Not Start problem of the 2011 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 07/07/2013

The wire harness had to be replaced. (fuse box and all connected wires) they are considered all one part. Car would not start at first. Then when it did, it had no gears. Could not move forward or backward. Then could not start altogether. Repairs cost 1500. 00 my feeling is that a car that is only three years old with only 100,000 miles should not have this problem. Please find out if it is a factory defect.

11 Car Will Not Start problem of the 2011 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 07/16/2012

Driving in traffic normal speed about 40-45 mph, vehicle stopped accelerating completely. Normal commute & almost got rear ended since the car started to decelerate quickly. Once we were able to pull off to the side of the road we tried switching the gears and restarting the car. After this, the car would not restart at all. Taken the car to Ford multiple times and they have ran all sorts of diagnostics and we find ourselves at the dealership at least every 2-3 months with issues. Ford corporate did nothing but provide extended warranty. What would they have done if we were actually rear ended & severely hurt because of the faulty car? unfortunately an extended warranty does not correct he problem & this vehicle is still jeopardizing my family's safety and we'll being.
