1 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2015 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 03/20/2020

My transmission has been having problems since the day I drove my vehicle off the lot. I made several attempts to bring it back within warranty; however, I was told nothing was wrong and departed home. Since then, I brought it back about 2 more times & was told again and again, the transmission fell within working capabilities. Not long after, I received a recall in the mail regarding the transmission. When I brought the car back again and showed the representative(s) the letter, I was reassured everything would be taken care of. I left paying a $100 diagnostic fee and nothing was done to the vehicle. At this point, the vehicle isn't reliable at all. I've already invested $1,200 into fixing a hvac blend door actuator issue that appeared shortly after its purchase. I informed Ford margate about this issue as well; but as many times as I call, the issues get overlooked and forgotten about on their end. I only have 65k miles on the car & it rolls backwards if I'm on a hill. This happens as soon as I take my foot off the break and I anticipate hitting the gas. Before I can ever do that, the car starts rolling backwards as if it's a manual. The transmission consistently shutters and the gears don't automatically shift properly. Is there any way you can look into these issues?.

2 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2011 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 05/01/2019

1) door latches are faulty. Any door can open while car is in motion. Also, door latch sensors are faulty and cause all interior lights to come on if it thinks a door is open. Happens within 1st mile driven every time since 80k miles. 2) in snow, the piece of body plastic in front of the front tires can get caught and dragged underneath the front tires. 3) electrical problems: fuse box rusts, prongs break off in fuse box. Sometimes pushing clutch in would cause lights to dim or speaker static (manual transmission). Problematic 12v (always hot) routinely broke 12v devices. Dealership was unable to fix this at last warranty maintenance. 4) several dealerships were unable to solve or find the cause of any of the following: brake rotor usually causes howling sound under 30mph after a few miles, (started around 50,000 miles) and car sometimes shut off while stopped & idling (rare, started around 70,000 miles). Also, manual transmission lever gets too sticky to move without extreme force unpredictably, (started around 25,0000 miles). Every time was told transmission fluid looks fine. 5) high pitched whirring sound and loss of power with ac or defroster, worse as time went on 6) car was sold because cost to repair faulty door sensors leading to headlights never turning off, thereby causing battery to drain below 12v regularly, exceeded the car's value. Car would not pass inspection with this issue & needed frequent jump starts. 7) extreme distraction: "sync" interface will cut off stereo audio without warning to try and connect to mobile phone for a vehicle health report in the middle of driving. 8) air flow sensor goes off frequently starting around 50,000 miles, only solution is spraying in lots of air flow sensor cleaner. 9) drivers side windshield wiper fell off about a dozen times, even dealership installed. Very unsafe car in my opinion.

3 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2014 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 08/03/2018

I got vehicle at a well known car dealership - used. It was given 120 point inspection so the car was in good to go condition. I walked out with luckily some max protection insurance from them, where they would cover any non- ware & tear repairs. Great decision at first, maybe not even a year in at roughly 80k miles the car ac does not get cool, when at a stop or slow speed the car would start to overheat & in stall - this is a manual vehicle so you would have to drop gear in order to gain speed back and cool the engine. The cooling fan wasn't turning over st any point, I replaced the fuse maybe 3-4 times and it kept blowing out. Finally I took it in to get checked out, apparently the fan relay fuse was blown out causing the smaller fuse to blow, all this resulting in damage to the ac compressor having to be replaced, 2,700 in repairs with a deductible of 200 bucks. Can't beat that right? wrong, here I am roughly 9-10 months later with the same issues happening again, car overheating when the ac is on, or at a hault with the fan not kicking over. Ford: you are a multi billion dollar company, you need to make a car / system that can withtand arizona's 110+ degree weather during the summer. This seems to clearly be a electrical issue, as this isn't the first, second or even third issue I've had with the vehicle. Including maker recalls.

4 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2014 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 12/29/2016

I am the original owner of my 2014 Ford Fiesta s hatchback. The vehicle has a 5-speed manual transmission and 33350 miles +/- on it. I have two issues with the car: 1) the second and reverse gears (only) have "popped" out numerous times under torque. This occurs only when decelerating, accelerating, and occasionally while reversing slowly out of the garage etc. The latest event was December 29, 2016 travelling down a short road. The second gear popped out and the vehicle immediately began to accelerate toward the embankment. Each event surprises and frightens me until I realize what has occurred and respond accordingly. 2) the second issue is something is producing a clunking in the lr pillar (between the lr passenger door and the hatchback). Or so I imagine. It sounds like a hatch strut is hanging loose from the top connection and swinging around inside the hollow of the pillar. However, both hatch struts are fully accounted for and appear to be attached as designed. The noise is ongoing and coincides with vehicle motion, especially on curves and rough ground.

5 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2012 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 06/18/2015

The right passenger rear door will not lock. If you slam the door, it will not latch shut. It actually bounces back open. The door cannot be closed, leaving the interior lights on. There is no way to secure the door closed while driving. The vehicle cannot be driven unless someone holds the door shut. There is no manual override.

6 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2013 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 04/30/2015

The transmission has a recall on it. It has been in the shop and replaced 3x. It still is not fixed. It passes the test when its hooked up to the machine but when driven it fails and goes back to the shop. The problem apparently has something to do with Ford and how it is made. Now a engine malfunction light always comes on. The manual says that it should not be driven because it may not shift. I have almost been in countless accidents because the transmission will not shift. It does not accelerate. It jerks, shakes, and grinds. I wrote to Ford and they didn't care. Told me to take it up with the dealership. This has been nonstop since I bought it last year till now and its ongoing. I do not feel comfortable driving my child in this car. Someone needs to be held accountable.

7 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2013 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 03/15/2015

I unlocked the doors with the auto lock on the key. Then, I put something in the back seat. When I closed the door, it bounced back open. I tried several things to get it to reset including everything mentioned in the owner's manual, but it would not latch. I looked at the latch on the driver's door to see how they were different and pushed the mechanism back . Then it stuck in the locked position and that door wouldn't shut. I again tried turning the car and the auto-lock system off and on, but nothing would affect those two doors. I finally had to have my car towed because I couldn't drive it home with two doors that wouldn't latch.

8 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2011 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 11/22/2014

2011 Ford Fiesta se, 47500 miles. Use back doors approximately once a month. I closed the back door on driver's side and it just bounced back at me. Could not shut door, will not latch, causes interior lights to stay on. Temp fix was to close the latch manually to turn off the interior lights then bungee the door as close to closed as I could - still has about a one inch gap for rain to get in or thief's - plus whenever I turned right the back door would open. No way to bungee it tighter. Took car to Ford dealer who acted surprised when I told them about the latch/lock. Cost: $420 to repair one door. Upon returning home searched the internet and found out this has been an ongoing problem for the Fiesta's doors and in no way should my dealer of been surprised. Called dealership back, no compassion - said if the locks ever get recalled then Ford would refund my money. I'm looking for a new car and it will not be a Ford. Will keep my receipt should the locks make the recall list. This is a major safety issue but I guess until someone is hurt or worse it will not be recalled.

9 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2012 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 10/11/2014

Rear passenger door, driver's side. I opened the door to get something out, never coming close to the latch, and when I went to close it, the latch didn't latch. It could not be corrected with manually moving it. Have to take to shop now! only 37,000!.

10 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2011 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 06/10/2014

2011 Ford Fiesta ses, manual transmission: car started stalling about 3 or 4 mos ago when I would come to a stop. Yesterday, it stalled as I was driving!!! now I don't dare get behind the wheel! I bought this car in '11 brand new and have had no problems with it until now. And now all I want to do is dump it!.

11 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2014 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 03/14/2014

The vehicle hesitates, grinds and jumps whenever you press on the gas to accelerate. Sometimes the car will jump and just slow down even if my foot is all the way to the ground with the pedal. The transmission is the issue since I have taken it to Ford numerous times and every time the tell me the "grinding, jumping, hesitation is normal for an automatic/manual transmission". Apparently this is new for Ford as they have what they call an automatic/manual transmission. Meaning the car drives like it would be a stick shift but automatically does it. It is unsafe! sometimes the jerking is so bad my head will jerk!! I feel like I was ripped off with this car and am so mad that I made this purchase!.

12 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2013 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 10/01/2013

I leased this as my first new car. When I first purchased it, I loved it. As time went on, I noticed that my car would start to jerk as I'd accelerate and the shifting was never smooth. When I had an oil change, I asked about it and was told that because it was converted from a manual to an automatic (like all the automatic Fiestas), it felt like I was shifting gears. I'm not too good with cars, so I trusted Ford. It got worse over time and to this day they say that it is normal. I've went in twice for recalls and services on my car. They still say it's normal. This is not normal. I've opted to lease another car because I am so unhappy with my Ford. I still have it, but I don't like to drive it. If I had to do it again, I would never lease a Ford. It feels like I've wasted my money and they do not care about their customers.
