1 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2013 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 12/07/2019

Door lock can be a safety issue for many. Only 1 lock to 4 doors that lock/unlock button is in dashboard just before the radio. Vehicle was parked. Key was not on ignition I got in vehicle shut the door and locked it. I misplaced my keys inside car I tried getting out by pressing unlock. While the ignition was off and vehicle did not unlock no sound nothin. I panicked none of the door wouldn't open until I found key and turned ignition to open doors. Sometimes it does open but I can't imagine if my child would get stuck in the car for not having door locks.

2 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2014 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 10/09/2019

My radio started acting strangely about 3 months ago. When the radio was on there was irregular squealing coming from it. When it first started, the squealing was only when the radio was on and I was driving the car. Later, the squealing also started to include loud popping noises, very much like an old stereo speaker losing its wire connection. The loud popping was very inconsistent . It then started happening every time I was in the car. It didn't matter if the radio was on or not. I even tried turning down the volume, while the radio was off. The popping noise was extremely loud and distracting while trying to drive the vehicle . Many time because the pop was so loud I would jerk the steering wheel in one direction or another. Passengers that rode in my car during some of the incidences had commented on it hurting their ears and making them jump or jerk in their seat. Then, one day the popping was happening almost continuously and then just stopped. Now leaving me without a radio and phone connection. I searched the internet to try to figure out the problem and have found that this is an extremely common defect in the Ford Fiesta. The erratic loud popping is a very dangerous distraction while you are driving and I feel it is very much a safety hazard.

4 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2012 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 09/01/2019

The low beams have stopped working. I now cannot drive after dark and if I have an emergency with one of my three kids I will not be able to take them anywhere. High beam and parking lights work. Replaced headlight bulbs and still won't work. There was a recall in canada but not the USA. It's been months and can not afford to have the fuse box replaced. Radio has also stopped working for the past 3 weeks.

5 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2013 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 07/17/2019

I had to have the transmission replaced after owning the car a few months. At only 30k miles. Thank god it was still under warranty. However, since then, the car has continued to malfunction. I have not taken it into a dealer since because of the other comments and complaints I have seen regarding this car. The car continues to jerk forward when moving from a stop. The car constantly shudders when driving. The car hesitates when accelerating. I even had to pull the fuse out for the radio because the speakers would constantly pop, even with the radio off. I truly believe there is an issue even with new transmissions in this car. If the transmission is replaced, the same problems should not continue. I do not have the time nor the money to keep fixing something that is not fixable. I will continue to drive a car that I feel unsafe in until I cannot anymore. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. On the "when did this happen" field, I put today's date because it happens every day.

While driving rear driver's door opened and will not latch closed. Had to tie door down with tape to keep it closed. Took it to Ford dealer in casa grande, arizona and was told that it is not part of recall. Could not afford to get it fixed.

8 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2013 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 09/09/2017

My door will not stay shut. I can close it but the latch doesn't lock and I'll have to duct tape the door closed to get it to the dealership for repair. The problem occurred at home when I opened the door to get stuff out the backseat, then tried to close it and it would not lock. I've rarely used this rear passenger door since I'm the only user of this vehicle and use the hatchback trunk with the seats down, so I reach in out through the trunk mostly.

9 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2011 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 04/26/2016

My 2011 Ford Fiesta se will not start. Electrical issues , pcm possibly. When you try to start the car all lights flicker, battery is fine and continues to attempt to start even after the key is turned back in non-starting position. The radio and usb/charging ports don't work either. This potential repair is going to cost me more than this thing is worth. Ford shouldn't sell crap. I bought this car because I needed reliable safe transportation not to have a money pit with no transportation and a loan. I literally just spent $1000 at a garage for maintenance and it wouldn't start when I went to pick it up yesterday. Now the Ford dealership is guessing pm! I shouldn't have to pay for this, Ford should recall the pcm and fix the electrical or stop ripping people off with garbage.

10 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2012 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 02/12/2016

Apm control module attached to radio was explained to me by bennie at john bleakley Ford lithia springs GA. . Radio was making a loud static noise would even make it with the car ignition turned off. Even setting overnight would be start making this loud noise for no reason. B ennie told me this module controled sever things on this vehicle and could possibly put me on the road side. I travel alot. This noise can not be controled by the on/ off or volume control. John bleakley replaced so called module it still does the same thing. They said that the part they put on was a bad part and would reorder another one. Still waiting 3 weeks later going on 4 for part to come in to replace. And of course I have already paid my 500. 00 plus dollars for repair. Can you help me or advise me why its taking so long? I feel as though I have been scamed.

The rear door lacthes of my car have failed, rear pass. About a year ago and rear driver today, 11/8/2015. After opening the door, the latch fails to engage and hold on to the little metal bar mounted on the body when closing. To keep the door shut I have to tape it until I can get the latch replaced. The car was stationary.

14 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2012 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 05/16/2015

The contact owns a 2012 Ford Fiesta. After the contact parked the vehicle, he heard an abnormal booming static noise coming from the speakers. Once the vehicle was started and before shifting into gear, the static noise was still audible. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the radio module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 66,000.

15 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2012 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 04/13/2015

Latch failed. My passenger needed to put some possessions in the back seat because there wasn't enough room in the front. He proceeded to put his things in the back, then came to the front and got into the passenger seat. I started the car and the radio display notified me that a door was ajar. I asked him to re-close the back door and when he attempted too, it wouldn't latch. We tried pulling the door handle on both the inside and outside, locking and unlocking the car, and pushing as hard as we could on the door, but the door wouldn't latch shut. I ended up having to duct tape the door close, but the interior light remains on and reduces my visibility through the front windshield due to the glare. I feel very unsafe leaving my car in public places due to the risk of theft, and leaving items back there for fear of them flying out of the vehicle while in motion.

16 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2012 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 04/07/2015

As I was backing out of my driveway my alert light pinged on letting me know my passenger door was open. I leaned over to shut it and the latch of the door wouldn't catch and actually close. I got out of the car and walked around my vehicle thinking I had something in the way and I couldn't find anything. I kept attempting to close it and check the latch but I couldn't find a reason as to why my door wouldn't shut. I attempted to tape it shut to drive it to the dealership but it didn't hold, and neither did rope. I had to call roadside assistance and have my vehicle towed to a Ford dealership for this safety concern. Very upset that I'm not even out of my 3 year warranty yet, and come to read more this is a huge issue that is being investigated right now and no actual recall for the problems.

17 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2012 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 04/01/2015

The rear door latch jammed on my 2012 Ford Fiesta and door wouldn't shut. Had to tape door so as not to open. I took the car to dealer and they gave me an estimate of $650 to repair. They were not aware of any prior issues with door latches reported to Ford.

18 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2011 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 03/16/2015

I was leaving work and unlocked my car with my remote key in order to get in. I had been to panera bread around 3:00pm for lunch and everything was fine so I got in the drivers side and started to leave the parking lot. As soon as I started (turned right) onto the the highway, I heard wind from the back (louder than usual) and my door was flapping open! I was glad a car didn't dive by and rip off my door! I pulled off (while holding the door backwards awkwardly and unsafely) into the target parking lot. I tried to shut the door but it just bounced back, I tired to hold shut and lock it but it wouldn't lock. The latch was broken or not functioning. I had to buy painters tape to make sure my door didn't fly open on the way home. I took to Ford and they said it was $400 to fix. I told them that this was probably going to be like the transmission, where I complained twice about it, they said it was normal, and then they recalled it 2 years later, so I just made sure I had a receipt of my visit. I hope the rest of my doors don't fly open too.

19 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2011 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 02/12/2015

I put my baby into her car seat, closed the back passenger door, and started driving when the "door ajar" warning light on the dash appeared. I immediately stopped and saw that the back passenger door was ajar. Her door would not stay closed. Nothing I attempted would fix it. The car was never damaged, and the broken door received barely any use, as she is under six months old. I had to tie a swaddle blanket to the handle and hold on while driving us home. I immediately called the dealership where we had purchased the car (Ford akins) and was told that there were no recalls, despite the fact that there is an ongoing investigation, and that we would be charged to fix a glaring safety issue even though we had purchased the extended warranty and the car was exactly four years old. I was also told that they would have to order the part, and am now left waiting with my baby in the back of a car with a door that is duct taped closed. I consider this to be an extremely serious safety complaint, and don't trust that another door won't fly open while driving.

20 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2011 Ford Fiesta

Failure Date: 12/18/2014

The left rear door latch failed upon closing the door and bounced back rather than locking in. The door from then on could never be closed and had to be duck taped to ensure it would not open upon driving the vehicle. While driving the vehicle, the main dash board would constantly notify the driver that the door was still open and the ceiling lights would stay on while driving.
