My daughter and 2 friends were driving on the highway, the dash flickers and goes back to normal, flickered again and the car started slowing down so she pulled over, ( car still moving) and puts the car in park but the car still continues to move. Passenger notices out the side mirror the car is on fire, she jumped out; the car then accelerates ( still in park) and hits the “jersey wall “ where the rest of the car eventually went into flames. My daughter & friend ( who was in the back) got out thru the driver side door, the back doors would not open and the airbags did not deploy.

I was driving on the highway, and my car started shaking. All of the sudden I couldn't push on the gas anymore, and out of the blue a notification popped up on my screen that said "transmission failure, service immediately" and the car fully stopped working. I was forced to coast to the side of the highway, where I ended up in an incredibly dangerous spot. I had to call the cops, have them come so I wouldn't get hit (it was fully night time), and had to wait for a tow truck to come tow me and my car off the side of the highway.

I was told way back when that door latches had a defect. That there was a recall. Colonial Ford of danbury CT avoided doing the complete recalls. Such is so that I paid out of pocket a transmission rebuild and took Ford 2 years to reemburse me the cost. But the door latch recall was still in effect. It turns out that im getting a door open warning on dash while doors are closed. This was a defect recall going back 5-6 years but was never replaced. Now dealer tells me my car was'nt part of the recall.

I am submitting this complaint regarding Ford safety recall 25sa9 for my 2019 Ford Fiesta involving the rearview camera. This recall has remained unresolved for over 14 months. I opened a case with Ford and was instructed to continue waiting, but no repair has been completed and no meaningful resolution has been provided. Because this is a safety recall, 1 am concerned that the remedy has not been made available within a reasonable period of time. In addition to the safety concern, this ongoing delay has caused financial hardship. I use this vehicle for turo rentals and have been unable to continue renting it out due to the open recall, which has negatively affected my income and safety. I am requesting review of Ford's delay in providing a remedy and any assistance available due to the extended unresolved status of this safety recall. Transmission was supposedly rebuilt back July 26, 3021. Now transmission has had a new dual clutch replaced but other concerns are still there jerkiness on accelerations. In 2021 the transmission was not fully rebuild as per recall. Only clutch assembly was done and not the back end. Which now could be the problem. Second, colonial Ford sated transmission rebuilt has lifetime warranty which a lie. Colonial Ford doesn’t offer lifetime. The service advisors lie about this all the time. Now the car jerks on acceleration after clutch replacement. Dealer and Ford still take no responsibility over the product! the car has 145,000 miles still under the 150,000 mile warranty isssue by you!.
This is the 2nd email I sent and haven't gotten any response yet. My rear view camera is getting worse and distorted. Very hard to see out of it, especially at night. I have my grandchild in my car on a daily. I can't even sell this car because the recall is on the car fax report. Who is going to buy a car that has an outstanding recall, especially finding out the parts to fix it are unavailable? and not knowing when they will be available? who's going to be responsible when something does happen? this issue needs to be addressed before something does happen.
The drivers side door latch will not latch, the door will swing open because the latch is defective. I have seen that this is a common issue with this vehicle and has been recalled on other 2012 Ford Fiestas but mine has not been.
My back up camera has been recalled. No parts are available to get it fixed. I have children in my car on a daily. The camera is getting worse. I can't even sell it because the safety recall is in the car fax report. I don't want to drive this car anymore. What are my options?.
The door latches have a safety recall and needs to be fixed or observed to ensure proper road safety. In addition I cannot move onto my vehicle registration renewal until this recall is repaired. I do not see any visible malfunction but the doors do have to slam shut to ensure they are properly closed. No individuals have been put at risk. The problem has not been confirmed by a dealer or service center, nor inspected by any party. No warning signals, signs or lights appeared on the car telling me about the particular issue or area with issue.
I have come to find that this vehicle suffers from premature slave cylinder failure, there are roughly 62,000 miles on the vehicle. Typical failure is reported to Ford between 70,000 and 80,000 miles. First symptoms appeared at roughly 58,000 miles. As I am a single father and a full time communications worker, I was not able to address this issue immediately upon discovering the initial symptoms as it would need further diagnosis. Clutch hydraulic fluids appear to be well sealed and clean. The design flaw with this system should be relatively obvious to a major automobile manufacturer such as Ford. The excessive temperatures caused by the transmission can and will affect any hydraulic systems severely. There are no avenues in which the temperatures can escape due to the bell housing of the transmission encasing the slave cylinder. In my experience as a prior automotive technician, most manual transmission automobiles place the cylinder in a more reasonable location, for example, beside the break booster in a 1991 Dodge stealth. When observing the firewall in this location on this model of vehicle I can confidently say there is enough room to place a clutch slave cylinder in this location. The current placement appears to be for no other reason then planned obsolescence. Vehicle has stalled in traffic multiple times, cannot complete shifts due to clutch pedal sticking to floor. Inability to properly operate transmission as expected per mileage with a manual vehicle is a safety hazard. This is a safety concern due to limited ability to engage warning lights being that the shifter needs to be operated as well as the vehicle needing to be steered. Inability to depress the clutch to mechanical certainty limits the drivers ability to confidently navigate to a safe area to assess the vehicle's possible malfunctions. This limits the ability to warn other motorists on the roadways, which can cause accidents that may also cause injury/fatality depending on the speeds driven.

Back-up camera goes in and out intermittently, sometimes the image is very faint and then totally disappears into a black screen, or says it is not available at this time, then goes black. This started about 4 months ago and I have not been able to identify a triggering factor, rain nor heat does not appear to be the factor that causes it. My car was purchased 2018 with 13 miles and I now have only 21,897 miles never been in an accident or anything to cause this issue. The dealer said my vehicle is not under the recall guidelines although it completely mimics the recalled issues listed under NHTSA#23s48/25v273 also the dealer says the issue has to be present for the mechanic to see. When I took it to the dealer today 10/14/2025 the camera was functioning and I have no idea when it will go back out again to show them. This can definitely become a safety issue and a cost I should not have to be responsible for because there is an indication this could be a production issue. Please assist me with this issue.

My car has had transmission issues since I purchased the car, and the problems has gotten worse and now the car is not drivable. I have purchased parts after parts and still the problem. I have reached out to the company numerous times, and reached out to programs. Iam stuck without a car now. What do I need to do.
The manufacture have fixed the car the recall yesterday.
Back up camera gives distorted views. Back up camera unavailable. This especially happens after rain.
While driving my car with my two little nieces in the backseat, I heard a sound that made me think a wheel was coming off. As long as I was driving straight, the vehicle seemed to be okay. But when I made a turn onto the next road, something broke underneath the car and we began to spin around. It felt like the wheels were rubbing under the floor of the car and we were in the middle of the street. When I got out, I saw the rear wheels were cocked at an angle to the rest of the car. I thank god we weren't on a busy highway where we could have all been killed.

While driving along the transmission slipped into neutral and would not move forward. Could have been hit from behind.
The back up camera quit working. The back seats are taller and it has made it very difficult to see if there are children behind my vehicle. I reported it to the dealership and now I have to pay $200. 00 to have them check it.
Transmission control module failure.

I am reporting a serious mechanical and safety issue involving my 2011 Ford Fiesta. After receiving a partially state-funded engine replacement in June 2025, my vehicle began experiencing serious transmission problems shortly after. Within a month, it went into limp mode multiple times, and warning lights appeared: the wrench light, incline warning, and “transmission malfunction – service now” messages. A diagnostic scan revealed multiple dtcs related to the transmission control module (tcm), input/output shaft speed sensors, and clutch a disengagement (p286f) — which I understand are linked to known issues with this model’s transmission. These failures make the car dangerous to drive. The vehicle has lost power unexpectedly, putting me at risk of an accident. I’ve also been told by the repair shop that I may now need a new transmission and/or tcm, despite just receiving a major engine repair. I am unable to afford another large repair and this situation has severely impacted my ability to travel safely. I am requesting an investigation into the Ford Fiesta’s transmission problems and to confirm whether this should have been covered by a recall or warranty extension. I want to also add that my transmission clutch was repaired by Ford only 2 years ago. Please advise if this falls under known manufacturer defects or safety bulletins, and whether Ford motor company can be held responsible for the faulty transmission and associated safety risks.
Request reversal of recall cancellation by the Ford dealer. Safety recall notice 20s30/NHTSA recall 20v-331 VIN [xxx] ***important safety recall *** I have been working with the service manager, forest at james hodge Ford in muskogee, oklahoma, (1-918-682-1345) and Ford customer relationship center at 1-866-436-7332. In March of 2025, an inspection was completed on my 2013 Ford Fiesta in regards to this safety recall. Iaw service manager performed an inspection of the door latches and closed out the recall. The issue for this recall states that my vehicle was previously repaired under safety recall 15s15 or 16s30. Evidently this was completed by the previous owner but it states that it is possible that one or more of the door latches was not replaced or may not have been replaced correctly. This proved to be true because in April while on vacation I was driving when my door swung open. After grabbing it I was able to find a place to stop. Then, I discovered the latch would not close! I found a rope to wrap around it to keep it closed to finish out my vacation. Ford has recognized and issued a safety recall due to the risk of doors not closing or doors opening while driving. As stated in the letter I received about the recall the risk if a door latch is not replaced, there is still a risk that the pawl spring tab inside the door latch could break. This condition will typically prevent the door from latching. Where the door is able to be closed, the door may unlatch while driving, increasing the risk of injury. I returned the car to the Ford dealer and was told the recall was for an inspection only and was cancelled. I began calling the Ford customer relationship center at 1-866-436-7332 on may 1st. Case # [xxx] I have been unsuccessful obtaining a reversal of the cancellation of the recall that is a critical danger. I have been ignored, lied to and promised it would be fixed. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
I own a 2019 Ford Fiesta. The backup camera frequently malfunctions by either displaying a black screen, freezing, or glitching with distorted visuals. This issue occurs more often than not when the vehicle is put into reverse. I’ve confirmed that my vehicle is not included in NHTSA recall number 22v082000, but the symptoms match exactly. This creates a clear safety concern, especially in school zones, parking lots, and other areas where visibility behind the vehicle is critical. I believe my vehicle should be included in the existing recall or a new investigation should be opened for additional affected vehicles outside of the current VIN range.
On june1, 2022 mel hambelton Ford replaced all 4 door latches do to recall. A few weeks ago I noticed that my 2 back doors were not locking. They would click, but would not lock. Front doors work fine. The new latches they put in are as follows. Lf-280720, lr-110820, rr-270914 and, rf-290914. I have attached the dated invoice. In order to keep the doors from opening, I have taken my backseat belts and looped them through the door handles and fastened them. I am concerned that my car can be broken into do to the malfunction of the back door latches not locking. This is a major safety issue. Please advice as to how I should proceed?.
The door latch is broken. Door latch will not lock when door is closed. Causing the door to stay open while driving.
This car has a double clutch transmission that was done overseas evidently this car's transmission does not run right and I've had it tested out at a mechanic shop the transmission slips gears does not operate correctly I was told by the mechanic that is not a normal transmission it can cause an accident you put your foot on the gas the car will rev into the wrong speed stay keep the tachometer running in the red and could cause a serious accident to other people and that Ford will not fix it as it was manufactured incorrectly the first time this car is dangerous and now I'm stuck paying for a used car that could cause an accident Ford denies any culpability.
Car accelerates shifting weirdly, airbag light came on after a few days of signing the lease. I believe this is something that needs to be checked out. The rpm jumps up and down while idling. I feel like this car is very new and shouldn’t have engine problems. Has been routinely maintained.
I bought my Ford Fiesta new in 2018. I have less than 35k miles on my car. My car recently started bucking while I stop at stop signs or red lights. My car revs up and tries to go forward. I took my car to the dealership hours later. They did a diagnosis and asked me what kind of gas I use. They said I shouldn't buy my gas from there. I was then told my valve is sticking from the gas and the valve is trying to open and it can't so it bucks and lurches. The part they need is on back order. The part is not available any where in the country. So does that mean the whole country side uses the same gas I do? that is why that part is on back order?.
The back passenger back door had problems wouldn’t close rt now can’t open. In may it felt like it wasn’t getting power, engine light said turn off car for 10 minutes, while stuck in traffic, so I had it towed to upland Ford dealers, they charged me $209. 99 just to look at it! then after inspecting it they wanted almost $4,000. Which I can’t afford. They said it was the clutch assembly part. The car also has some electrical problems like the car stopped showing the millage last was a round 101. The phone not connecting & the charger plug not working either.
Transmission control module for a 2015 Ford Fiesta is admitted by Ford as faulty, and a known issue. This part has had to be replaced several times, and there's no guarantee on durability or that there won't be future issues. Ford has admitted safety issues include loss of transmission engagement while driving, lack of power and slow or delayed shifting, no start, shuddering, stalling, slipping, ect.
The transmission shift level locks in park. The vehicle is available for inspection. Safety was a concern as I was stopped in a school unloading zone/fire lane and was unable to place the shifter in drive. This caused the lane to be blocked. I googled the problem, and was able to remove a cover and access a manual release. I do not know if the problem was previously inspected, however, it is a common search item on google/internet. There was no prior warning. The problem persists and I will have it checked.
The car hasn’t been sold since 2021 and I was told there where no issues with the car but it was sold as is it doesn’t start needs a new modem head gaskets maybe and it’s a lot that needs repairing.
12/4/2023 while attempting to pull into a parking spot in a parking garage car suddenly accelerated forward at a very fast rate, just prior to acceleration felt like it shuddered. Afraid that it would keep going and go over edge so I pulled to the right while trying to brake and hit a concrete barrier. Terrifying! October 23, 2019 another couple had this happen in another parking garage downtown indianapolis and they were killed. Car went over the edge. Must have been on my mind! have owned this car since 02/23/2022, no problems whatsoever, checked out in September of this 2023, all maintenance up to date. Weather was dry and floor pads were not in way (bringing this up because I was asked this by a friend). Been driving 50+ years and never had a car do this. Hit the front drivers side of the car, air bags did not deploy, but the insurance company totaled my car. The capitol police happened to be in the garage at the time making rounds and were on the scene in seconds from when it happened. Luckily that morning I decided to park on the upper level of the garage and no one else had their car damaged and nobody was hurt including myself. Just prior to trying to turn into the parking space the car had been traveling uphill to the 5th floor - going very slow. A lot of people walking and other cars around trying to park. Don't know if this has anything to do with it but on Tuesday, December 19th, another employee had the same thing happen in the same garage. Her car was a different make and model and was not damaged hardly at all but her airbags deployed! the only thing in common is same garage and there has been extensive construction going on in the garage for months now. Not trying to get anything out of this but this could have had far more serious consequences if this had happened at one of the half dozen intersections I went through that morning before arriving in the garage. Lucky no one was hurt or killed. Apparently this happens a lot!.
Clutch "a" stuck engaged. . . Loses power and if driven for a while dash lights up saying "transmission is hot wait 5 minutes " in addition to the previous issue, the car will not will not start right away. If you turn the key forward and pull the car down into last gear and back up into park, the car will start most times, otherwise I will have to jump start it.

The horn had to be replaced sept. 22, 2023 because it wasn't working. The horn had to be replaced again Nov. 9, 2023 because it was not working. This is a safety hazard since, without a horn, the driver cannot alert others in case of a problem with this car or get the attention of other drivers who are inattentive and may cause an accident. The second time the dealer replaced the horn, the service representative stated the problem was that the assembly got wet and the new unit had to be re-mounted in a better position. There was no light or indicator that the horn had failed. I only noticed it when locking the car with the fob because it usually beeps if I press the "lock" button twice. If I hadn't noticed that, I would have been surprised and potentially involved in an accident if unable to alert other drivers of a problem.
Transmission keeps having problems. I was told to replace transmission module.
Transmission malfunctions while accelerating. Pulling into a busy road, the vehicle randomly stops accelerating which cause other vehicles to swerve to avoid a crash. The rmp will increase and loose acceleration and then there is no function of the acceleration. As soon as the warning light came on, contacted a dealer and the wait times are over 2 months. The dealer does not want to keep the vehicle and prefers you keep driving until they call you to bring it in.
