The vehicle suffered a direct rear impact from another vehicle traveling approximately 95 mph while this Ford Fiesta was traveling 60 mph forward. Both front seats were positioned upright with a properly seated driver and a passenger seated whilst turning his body behind the seat. The impact was severe enough to trigger the Ford Fiesta's sos post-crash alert system. As a result of the impact, both front seats of the vehicle broke free of their positions and reclined backwards. This action of the seats cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle as his hands were stripped from the wheel. The airbags did not deploy. The driver's head flew forward and slammed back hard into the headrest. The vehicle was inspected by a police officer at the scene who commented that the seats had failed. The vehicle was also inspected by an insurance inspector. The vehicle is currently in the possession of progressive and may be available to inspect. The vehicle was in proper working order before the accident occured and provided no sign of issues with the seats.

The door on my 2013 Ford Fiesta open!! my daughter was making a left turn to merge on to the interstate when the rear passenger door flew open and all the things she had fell out! suppose my little nieces were in there or the door flies open and a car hits it! I looked up how to fix when I came across a recall stating the doors unlatch!! recall: 20s30 is the recall; I went to the dealership. The service advisor stated they they don't have the kits to fix all 4 doors right now and they won't have them until September !! in the meantime I could have one door fixed for about $500! I could save my invoice and ask for reimbursement after all doors have been fixed; after recall is performed. This is a huge safety issue because if I fix one door what's to see another door just open and something tragic occurs! I need to drive the vehicle; we don't have any other means of transportation. I have doctor appointments 4-5 times a week; not to mention work as well! we need some assistance , someone that is willing to address and rectify this issue immediately.
When do purshase the car the speaker on r side had alot of static and when I would drive the wheels seem to wobble, and felt ver in safe to drive. When I was to take car in the covid came and closed everything down. When service department open I took car in and explained what was wrong so they replaced the speaker and said the r side under wheels were really bad and it needed to be fixed. I didn't remember to let service know about the inside parts that was broke and missing. Then they had to close again. Once I was able to get oil change and wheels rotate it I managed to talk to the sales agent and explain to him what was going on and he told me to bring my car in to see how much it would be and he would give me his discount price. This stuff was damaged before I even purchased the car so I don't think I should have to pay for anything. Now something up under my car is making sounds when I break and I don't think it's the brake pads or the shoes because I know that sound and it has to be something else. I have had problems with this car since I purchased it and even before taking it off the lot and because of the covid-19 it's been very hard to get back and forth to get things taken care of I'm afraid to drive my car now because when I let off the gas and get ready to go into the break it sounds very strange. I personally think that this car had a lot of damages could have been in a crash prior to me purchasing the car and it's just not safe. I haven't had the car a year and when I purchased a car it was 38,437 and now my car is 40,000 I will try to get this fixed before I drive it and put myself and my grandkids in danger.

The car has heated seats. The driver side seat gets so hot that it burns after about 5 minutes of turning it on. The passenger side works fine.

Driving down the road at 45 mph the rear driver side passenger door flew open and then would not close. My 13 year old daughter was seated there at the time and almost fell out! called local dealership and because I am 3 miles over my warranty mileage they will not fix. This is a huge safety issue!!!.
I was taking my son out on the town because he was visiting from misawa afb in japan and we made a stop at the convenience store around the corner, his wife got out of the car, shut the door and it would not close. I had to have her hold the door shut as we drove the car back home. I called the next day to get it into the dealer and they made me an appointment for the following Monday. The dealership said that the door is not covered under warranty. I paid $130 for them to tell me that the latch and cable need to be replaced. The cable is on back order and would take 4-5 days and cost over $500 to get it fixed. This is a real safety concern and I have never had a vehicle with this problem before. What if this door popped open while driving down the road. I will not pay $500 to have this problem fixed by the dealer and I will end up tearing it apart myself. This is really inexcusable considering that this is still fairly new vehicle.
The door next to the back right passenger seat will not latch. The car cannot be driven because the door will not stay shut.
Female driver, approx 5'7", 130 lbs, driving on the freeway at approx. 65 mph felt a sudden jolt in the seat back startling both driver and passenger. After there was no lower back support felt. Dealer replaced p/n ce8z5461019a (back assy, seat). This has now occurred with the same driver and startling her again while driving on the freeway at mileage 26,800 on 1/25/2015. Vehicle has yet to be taken to dealer for repair. Ford motor company to be contacted as well. The concern is the startling aspect to the driver while at freeway speeds could cause someone to loose focus on driving safely trying to determine what just occurred.
The problem, or I should say 'the jam' as in door jamb, is that both side rear passenger doors on my 2012 Ford Fiesta are not working on the close. The doors won't stay closed or stay shut. When you try shutting either door it just bounces back out a little. Neither door will latch closed. Only 35,772 miles on my 2012 Fiesta when both rear passenger side door latches failed within 12 hours of each other. Is both doors failing at the same time just a coincidence? I think not. I think defective and dangerous! my Fiesta has never been involved in an accident, no body damage, no evidence of attempted break-ins and no apparent reason to cause 1, let alone both, rear passenger side door latches to malfunction and prevent closing of the rear side doors. And, absolutely no warning or indication of any looming or pending problem with the operation of either door nor my fingers, hands, wrists or arms? although I do get a bout-of-gout in my knee occasionally. I just opened each door normally to find it broken upon shutting. What I find extremely strange, and at this time still unexplained by anyone, is that both doors failed within 12 hours of each other in exactly the same manor. Seems like too much to be a coincidence, doesn't it. . Read more...
