I was on my way home coming down farrow rd. And my car stalled out, so I slowly pulled in the median turn car off and back on. When I got ready to pull out of the median the car wouldn't go no faster than 5 miles and hour. So I had my friend help me pull it out of the road and take me home and tow my car to the house. When I got it home there wasn't any acceleration, rpms wont move at all, car has power and cranks but when I put it in drive it won't go anywhere. It stalls and cuts off, even in neutral no acceleration. Everything lights up and cuts on but no acceleration. From my photos below you will see I have replaced alternator, throttlebody, the red and black wiring on the back of the intake I've checked all my hoses there was no splits no cuts no vacuum leak and every time I get a reading on it it gives me a different code please read and reply if this is a recall I need my car fixed immediately.

This is a long on going problem with the electrical problem that has been going on now for five months. Started out having the battery cluster light on & check charging system. Found charging a little low, had new alternator installed. Then with a week, battery, engine light & airbag light cluster are on, then the fun began, then all the instrument cluster goes off and you have no turn signals, no fans, no radio, no electric windows, no door locks and no break lights, (but break lights do come on when you apply breaks and the back-up lights come on. The system can come and go on and off while moving and setting still. Have had system checked and coded, they can not find a problem except that it is a electric problem, had all wiring checked, cleaned. No,frayed wire founf and no defective coupling. Again I get it a wire that is grounding and causing problem. All the fuses are ok and know have blown. The only thing I know is this problem was reported to Ford back in 2006 or 2007 and they have not put out any recall on it and there dealers know nothing about what to do but they will try and find it at where hourly rate and it could be a hour or several hours to find problem. As I've said this is on going it clear up and last for a week up to six weeks at a time.
Dash panel light go on and off while driving, reverse lights come on and car wants to stall. Put new battery in and had alternator replaced still having problem. Can not drive car because of safety risks. Been doing this for a month and still doing it even after repairs done by mechanic.
The contact owns a 2006 Ford Five Hundred. The contact stated that the rear driver side tail light failed to illuminate. When the vehicle was placed in reverse, the reverse lights failed to illuminate. In addition, the control panel and driver side blinkers failed to illuminate. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the alternator failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failures recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 150,000.
While driving down the street at midnight the car warning lights started to come on (abs, battery, traction control, and finally the factory stereo/gps unit) one by one. Then followed by the dashboard illumination going out which means I now had no taillights. Then finally lost all acceleration and the car just stopped. Luckily, I was able to illegally park the car blocking a driveway and fire hydrant. Had I been on the highway I may have had a completely different ending. A week after the mechanic replaced the alternator the electrical system shut down again only I got no lights on, it just died. After having the car for a week my mechanic replaced a faulty ground and the battery. The car still doesn't work properly. He has no idea why.
During normal driving vehicle dash lights went completely out and then began to flicker while both gauges speedo and tach went left to right on and off repeatedly causing a loss of power on vehicle rendering vehicle unsafe to drive and almost causing collision. . Brought to Ford dealer replaced alternator and problem still exists after 500 dollar expense.

The contact had to purchase two batteries in a one month period as a result of the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who advised that they could not repair the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure who offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 85,000.
This is not the first time I have complained nor am I the only one having this issue. I bought the car back in 2010 and informed the car lot of flickering lights well now its gone as far as my whole dash lights flicker and when they come back they do not come back correctly all the time. My gas gauge doesn't register properly. This happens when I run the ac. When I had it checked I was told that it had something do with battery. The alternator is pulling too much power when ac is on. Well if I am not the only one having this issue I don't understand why this is not getting a better settling besides OH I think it is this or I think it is that. I have searched youtube and there are a lot of ppl having this issue. A whole lot of ppl. I am going to go have my battery checked again and take back to car lot again and hope to have a solution. This is getting really ridiculous and bad. I can run my ac for may 10 minutes without this happening and once I do the car doesn't wanna run properly after. Please look into this and reach out to other owners and see if they are having same issues. Maybe they don't know how ot reach you like I did.
2006 Ford Five Hundred. Consumer states unexpected vehicle movement the consumer stated if the vehicle was not in park or the brake was not applied, it would move. The engine would spike as displayed by the tachometer and the engine could be heard accelerating. The first time the vehicle was taken to the dealer, they were unable to duplicate the problem. The second time, the vehicle was taken to the dealer, they diagnosed the problem as a bad alternator. It was sending bad signals to the pcm causing the engine to surge. .
Starting in December we have had numerous starting problems with this car. We have had it back to the dealership five times for this problem and three other times for other warranty problems. When you go to start the car is turns over but will not start or it will start then die. When it acted up we also had a loss of power once it would start the second time it went to dealer for the problem we could not get it stated at all and it had to be towed. After the last repair it now is getting only about 19 miles to the gallon in combined driving. We have asked Ford to buy the vehicle back and three times we were told a Ford regional rep would call us back to work with us and they never would call us back. We are currently trying to have Ford buy the vehicle back or replace it through the bbb dispute replacement but they will not. We have also had problems with the doors and moldings not being aligned correctly and this caused damage when the rear door opened and damaged the doors. Also the power windows have malfunctioned twice and needed repair or replacement of the window regulator. We are very disappointed in this vehicle and Ford.
