Visibility problem #1

The contact owns a 2010 Ford Flex. The contact stated that the driver side sun visor would swing back and fourth when extended. The sun visor would block the driver's view of the roadway and would have to be held in place. The dealer and the manufacturer were contacted and advised that the vehicle was not under recall, and provided no further assistance. The failure mileage was 500 and the current mileage was 15,000. Updated 04/13/12.

Blower problem #2

The contact owns a 2010 Ford Flex. The contact stated that the defroster failed without warning. In addition, the blower failed and the heater or air conditioning units would not turn on, turn on independently, or would fail to turn off. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 92,000.

Defroster/defogger/hvac System problem #3

Constant failure of the blend door actuator causes a clicking noise in the cabin upon starting the vehicle, or switching from vent mode to defrost mode. Also happens intermittently when activating the air conditioning. The clicking is loud enough to be heard from outside the vehicle. Unit has been replaced 4 times in 2 years. Usually only lasts about a month before the unit starts to click again.
