Safety risk a rear-view camera that intermittently displays an inverted, blank, or distorted image while in reverse can reduce or distort the drivers view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. Remedy dealers will replace the rearview camera as necessary, free of charge. Parts are not available. Ford motor company is working to provide parts for this repair. When the remedy becomes available, Ford motor company will notify you via mail to schedule a service appointment with your dealer for repairs to be completed free of charge. Manufacturer's notes if you have any questions regarding this recall, or believe any of this information is inaccurate, please contact Ford directly at 800-392-3673 or Lincoln at 800-521-4140. *****been experiencing this issue since 2022; contacted bartow Ford in bartow FL, about this issue, before the recall was issued; they stated they would replace the item for roughly $1k; Ford is saying that they don't have the necessary parts for it, yet bartow Ford is saying they have a solution for the issue. It's been going on for roughly 10 months + since they've known about this, and the recall is still in advance notice. Rear backup camera stopped working.

Backup camera goes from working to blue screen when backing up. I've reset the settings but continue to have the same issue. Very dangerous. It's the same issue/problem that you just fined Ford $165 million dollars. The models covered by the Ford recall included the 2020 Ford edge, escape, expedition, explorer, f-150, mustang, ranger and transit, as well as the Lincoln corsair and nautilus. Why isn't this 2018 model included in the recall by Ford? how do I get it covered? seems arbitrary that the recall ends with 2020 models.

The rear back up camera has a blue screen, unable to see anything behind me.

The rear back up camera works intermittently.

Back up camera shows upside down image. It also sometimes has lines through the image or a blue screen. It is not safe and I see others complaining about the same safety issue.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford Flex. The contact stated that while reversing, the rearview camera displayed an inverted image. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 69,000. The VIN was unavailable.

Backup camera screen is either black or upside down. It’s been like this for awhile and can’t always see what’s behind me. Available for inspection.

2019 Ford Flex back-up camera either upside or unavailable when the car is put into reverse. Car is available for inspection upon request. The software has been successfully updated multiple times. The camera going out or being upside down when backing up is definitely a safety issue. No inspection has taken place. The car is 5 years old and the camera worked for about the first two years. There were no warning signs for the problem. Thought a recall would be issued.

Rear backup camera fails. It was repaired once under warranty, (7 Jan 2019) second time under extended warranty protection (17 Jun 2021), now has failing for the third time. Local Ford dealer has the information and I have repair invoices.
