Tl the contact owns a 2007 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while his granddaughter was driving a vehicle cut in front of her. The result was that she broadsided the vehicle at 35 mph. The frontal air bags did not deploy on either the driver's or passenger's sides. One passenger was taken by ambulance with chest pains to the hospital. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a local junk yard and no estimate has been performed yet. The dealer or manufacturer had not been contacted yet. The failure mileage was 90,000.

The airbag warning light for the driver's side airbag on the dashboard goes on and off and has been doing this for the past couple of years. (I am not sure exactly when it began, since when the light went off, I thought the problem was over) I have had a car repair shop try to fix it several times, but the problem has continued. The warning light comes on and stays on (in every season of the year) when the weather is humid or damp and goes off when the air is drier. The mechanics say the airbag will not deploy when the airbag light is on and that I have to replace the airbag at a cost of around $400. I do not believe it is a takata airbag, but am not sure. Still, it is defective and I think these airbags should be inspected in other Ford Focus models in which they are installed. Also the automatic door lock (locking from the driver's side front door) stopped working for the front passenger's side door more than a year ago. I now have to lock and unlock it manually from the inside, requiring the passenger to wait outside the car while I (driver) get into the car and unlock the passenger side door. This poses a safety issue for the front seat passenger.
The contact owned a 2007 Ford Focus. While driving at 35 mph, the contact crashed and rear ended another vehicle due to rainy conditions. The air bag did not deploy and the vehicle was destroyed. Was driving down the road at the posted speed limit of 35 mph. Hit a patch of ice on the untreated icey roads in glocester ri . Caused me to increase speed while spinning in circles . Ended up hitting a tree with the front quarter panel on the passenger side destroyed everything on that side under the hood and the chasie in the front!! next I spun again hitting the front bumper on the right side! air bags never deployed and they should have at the speed and volosity the car hit the tree at!.

Traveling at 45 mph, vehicle pulls out in front of mine and my car impacted the front end of their vehicle. Front end of my vehicle was totally damaged and airbags did not deploy but air bag light came on. Took to dealership and had fixed. Six months later the air bag light has came on and stays on. My moms Ford Focus has not been wrecked or involved in any crash and her air bag light is on and wont got off.
Vehicle was involved in a car accident. I was sitting at a red light when I was struck from the rear by another vehicle who failed to stop in time. The vehicle that impacted hit my car was going a speed of 50mph. My airbag did not deploy. My 2007 Ford was pushed a few feet. 3 wks of repair work was required to the rear of my vehicle. I underwent four months of physical theraphy for neck and back problems that I still deal with today. I don't understand why my airbag didn't deploy. Because the vehicle that hit me realized the light was red and I stopped, he was able to turn his vehicle a bit to use the impact otherwise this would have been much worse.
1) the airbag did not deploy in an accident several years ago ( approx. December, 2011 - mileage was approx. 45,000) when the car collided with an oncoming car and was damaged on the front end and driver's side. No one was injured. During the past 2 or 3 years, I have noticed that the driver's side airbag warning light has been going on and off for days at a time. It seems to be affected by heat and humidity. It seems to go on when the weather is humid and off when the air is dry, at all times of the year. I am not sure whether the airbag would deploy when it is necessary. 2) during the past year, the power steering has making a loud grinding noise when I turn the steering wheel either right or left. A mechanic who worked on it said he put a clamp on it and refilled the steering fluid, which helped for a few weeks, but the problem has returned. So far the steering has worked well, but I'm concerned that power steering is defective and wearing out too soon. The mechanic said it was safe to drive.
I was hit in a head-on collision by another car on Feb. 28, 2013. The car was totaled, but the air bag failed to deploy. I reported the problem to Ford and after requesting that I send them pictures of the car, they concluded that they were not responsible for my injuries. I had previously owned several Ford vehicles, and convinced my daughter that it was a good decision to purchase a brand new Ford. Unfortunately, she was disappointed because there were problems with the vehicle from the time she got it. The cd player broke while it was under warranty, but they told her at the dealership the $750. 00 cd player would be covered under the warranty, but she'd have to pay $150. For the labor. The airbag light on the passenger rarely lit up when someone was in the passenger seat, but they told me it was fine. Just like some of the other reports I've heard, it had started making strange noises long before the accident, but we were unable to find out what the cause was. Before the car was 5 years old, I had replaced the alternator, shocks, a/c compressor, and I can't say how many times I had to replace the brakes.

Recently, my 2007 Ford Focus ses wagon began exhibiting a problem with the passenger airbag system. With my wife in the passenger seat and normal operating conditions, the passenger airbag off light on the dash will illuminate indicating that the airbag will not deploy if we were to get into an accident. This occurs at random times. I have twice had this vehicle in to the local Ford dealer who was unable to duplicate the problem. This problem did not occur during the first two years we owned the vehicle. It has been happening regularly over the past several months. If the indicator does illuminate and the traffic conditions are such that we can do this safely, my wife can unbuckle the seat belt and let it retract. She can then re-buckle her seat belt and the indicator will turn off. Our trips have been short enough that we have not seen the light turn back on so I do not know if this resolves the issue for that particular trip or if it would turn back on if the trip were longer. Something in the passenger seat belt controls seems to be bad. Whether that is the passenger weight sensor, the seat belt sensor, or the control module cannot be determined as we have not been able to get to the dealer when this occurs since most often it is the evening when my wife is with me. By that time, the dealer is closed.
I was passing a car and just completed the pass (approx. Speed was 60 mph), when the back right tire locked up. This caused me to go into on coming traffic. I then went off the road and flipped end over end once and barrell rolled three times. The car was totaled. I had minor injuries. Witnesses stopped and told police and fire personnel, that after I had passed them, the right rear tire locked up and spun me out of control. The car landed on its driver side. During the spin as I applied the brakes to regain control of the vehicle it felt as if the vehicle was trying to accelerate. The airbags never deployed. My concerns are the braking system, tires, air bags, and wheel bearings. This crash should not have happened, this is an obvious problem for Ford.

The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer six times but the problem had not been fixed; the air bags were replaced twice, the air bag light was replaced once and the clock spring was replaced once but the problem continued. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000. The current mileage was 75,506.
Dear sir: I recently purchased a Ford Focus sedan 2007 which has the feature in which if the front passenger is not withing certain ranges the air bag will not deploy. Consistently, the notification that the air bag is off light on with my 22 year old female daughter which is short ( 5foot 2 and 105 pounds) is in the front passenger seat. I have tried to solve this issue with the dealer but they have no solution and they state that the threshold is set to 100lb which I consider excesive. After about twenty minutes or so the light turns off as it should be, but this leaves an extended interval in which my daughter is not protected. I'd appreciate your advice on how to handle this matter .
I was in a crash in a 2007 Ford Focus. I went forward with a force so great that my collar bone was broken by the seatbelt, but the airbag did not deploy. If it had, I would not have had this fracture. The car was a total loss.
