I was driving in my city and was stopped at a light not too far from my house. The light turned green to turn, and as I was mid turn, my car sort of stalled. It kept lurching and when I pressed the gas it was like it was in neutral and revved up. The check engine light came on right when it revved up. By the time the light turned red, I was still moving, but very slowly and felt like it was kind of coasting in an abrupt way. Luckily I was pretty close to my place and could go slowly. When I went to park, I tried backing up and it wouldn't move, it just rolled forward. I had to repark, because I couldn't get my car to back up. I came in and told my husband, and he thinks it could be the transmission.
I have a notification on my car that says transmission fault and my car is driving like it's in neutral.
The car shakes when trying to change gears an take off today it did it bad in traffic an wouldn't go into reverse an the check engine light came on. . I toke it to see why the light came on an it was the code p080d witch is the same as many other have reported clutch motor tcm I just hope that's it an I still have a warranty on it. .
The driver's side door latch is impaired. The door appears to be closed but does not latch to seal the door in place. This was recently noticed by a professional detailing service in January 2020. It appears this is the same recall issue from the 2017 recall regarding latch/linkage issues.
The transmission sticks and vehicle is hard to get up to speed. Took it to a certified dealer and it's the automatic clutch and said they see the Fords and fiestas doing this a lot!.
Vehicle has known issues thru Ford. Just had clutch assembly replaced was driving car Monday it started shifting erratically my granddaughter was in car it lurched shudders. At Ford dealer said it is some sort of transmission fork 1900. 00 to fix vehicle has recalls but Ford won't honor the transmission by certain dealers.
I'm just having several issues with this car since I purchased it.
When driving car and come to a stop, it splitters when accelerating. When fuel gets lower than half of a tank, the car loses power, sputters and engine makes a grinding noise. This happens only when driving uphill or from stopped position.
Car began to stall and completely shut down. While in drive, with my foot on brake at a red light a error code flashed on dash " transmission not in park" and then it shut off. Car stalled 4 more times in a matter of a hour, twice while in park and car was just running. Last time at a red light in drive . Took 30-40 seconds to restart car, very unsafe.
The car has had several recalls and transmission problems since the day I got it. It has clutch issues that leaves me stalled stuck in gear in the middle of rush hour traffic. It has left me stuck in my garage and not being able to go in reverse for days at a time.
The transmission fail comes on and says get it fixed and I just got the car back for getting the recalls fixed on it now I'm having this problem.
My battery unexpectedly died. Upon further diagnostics my battery is charge and is fine. Car code reader indicates tcm power level low. My vehicle was stationary in a parking lot where I recieved a jump.
The car, is now , beginning to not start,. Which I suppose that doesn't matter since the transmission is still completely out, I wish Ford would fix it, or go ahead and allow me to collect on the settlement.
I brought car to Ford star because I feel shudder and also I received letter from Ford about the recall of the transmission. After 3days they release the car and telling me that shudder and jerking are in normal limit. And the charge me for the labor of $195. Because they say that it has no problem with the car.
It was sept. 16th, about 8:15pm. After getting off work, I got into my car and started it up. There came a sound and warning on the dash that a door was ajar. I tried my driver side door but that didn't effect the warnings. So, I got out, opened and then slam shut the passenger side door. When I got in the car, the warnings had stopped, so I backed out, then pulled forward to make a left turn onto garden grove blvd. , a fairly busy street even at this later hour. With my blinker on and the way clear, I accelerated into the street for my left turn. I'd just gotten into the turn when the passenger door swung wide open! by dumb luck, just as the turn was finished, there was an entrance on the immediate right into a liquor store parking lot. After trying to securely close it half a dozen times, I took out a chunk of thick rope from the trunk and tied the door handle to the car seat headrest pole. Wow, pretty scary. If someone would have been unbuckled and sitting there, they'd would definitely not have remained in the car.
My son(I am on car loan also) received a recall notice from Ford for the purge valve. He took it to hopkins Ford in elgin, IL where we purchased vehicle. They did not replace the purge valve and did a flash pcm instead and 3 days later the check engine light came on for an evaporation leak-directly related to purge valve. I have contacted the owner of dealership, Ford motor CO. Tony reinhart regional manager for IL Ford and no one has responded.
When I accelerate from a stop the car shutters/jerks. Feels like strong tumble strips. Also almost like wheels are locking and trying to grip. I have been scared at I intersections as with hesitation the car doesn't have much power. Once it shifts (I have automatic) it's fine. Doesn't happen every time either.
While turning a corner my car vibrates and shakes and hear as if metal is hitting underneath. When pushing on gas to go, the car will jerk. Doesn't want to rev like it needs to. Will shake aggressively when braking. Have to let off gas then push back down on it to make it stop shaking. Also vibrates when in park intensely.
I was entering the on ramp for the highway. The car would not accelerate past 15 mph. However, the rpm's went up to 4-5. I immediately got off the highway. The problem persisted when try to accelerate after each stop sign and light on city streets. .
Vehicle transmission stuttering while driving. Ac is out. Multiple electric issues.
Sunday July 21st, I noticed the car was lurching erratically while driving no more than 35 mph and from stops. I really didn't think much about it, because the car has always driven like crap. On the 22nd, I noticed the engine light was on when I started the car. I took my chances and started to drive to work. It was a total lurch fest for the 3 miles I drove, and I decided to drive to my mother's house instead of driving on to work. I somehow managed to park it safely at her residence. I called for a tow to the dealership, sunset Ford of st. Louis. It is now sitting there awaiting diagnosis. The technician basically already informed me that he expects my repair to not be covered under warranty. I already had a major transmission overhaul 2 or 3 years ago, I think. That one was still covered under warranty. The car only has 43000 miles on it. This is the 5th time I have brought it in for this issue, I believe. Also of note, I never received the follow up letter from the 18s32/18-v-735 NHTSA recall from Ford notifying me that the parts were available for repair. The technician looked at me like I had 4 heads when I told him I never received the letter. I asked him if he had heard from anyone else that they had never gotten the letter. He said no. I don't believe him.
My car was on recall about the transmission and the gas they only fix the gas leak but they say they don't have the part for the transmission.
My key is stuck in the ignition and will not release on my 2016 GMC acadia. The battery had to be replaced because it was completely draining my electrical system. It has been determined that my car is not recognizing it is in park to release the key. The floor shifter needs to be replaced according to my GMC dealership. This is extremely dangerous as the car could drift at any time, not to mention the strain on the battery.
I purchased this vehicle used in July 2014. It had about 3,500 miles on it at the time. Within a few days, I noticed that the vehicle had a "shudder" to it and made a horrible scraping sound when going around corners. I took it to the place where I purchased it and they said they couldn't find a problem. Since then, it's really been just one thing after another. I have taken it to a Ford dealership for safety recalls involving (1) a software update to correct electrical circuit failures, (2) a side door latch replacement, and (3) a problem with the cpv. I have also had to replace the front shocks - a visit that uncovered additional problems with original parts that also resulted in my vehicle being immobilized for more than one day and resulted in additional expenses of a rental vehicle. I have been very diligent in the upkeep of this vehicle with oil changes, filter replacements, a new battery, and tires. Still, I am presently experiencing challenges with this car accelerating after braking. It feels like it is jumping gears and is reluctant to up-shift. This is very similar to the overall "behavior" of the car before I took it in for the electrical circuit failure recall. I have also, on occasion, noted that there seems a delay when I am braking (brakes were replaced in June 2019). I feel that these problems increase the likelihood that I will get rear-ended or perhaps rear-end someone myself when approaching or leaving stop lights.
All recalls were corrected. My car currently has a light, when decoded it says it is the vaccum system and epa regulations. When has is put in the car, it stalls and struggles to start. To start it, gas pedal must be pushed first. If gas pedal is not pushed, call stalls for several minutes. It does not matter how low gas is when gas is put in the car, it stalls.
Dps6 transmission continuously causing problems to car from gears being skipped, takes a second for the car to get going when pressing gas then when it goes it's like a rocket blast. Stuttering when idle. When traveling down the highway and you take your foot off the gas but then needing to step on the gas to go up hill, the car doesn't accelerate properly- its a delayed acceleration. When lightly pressing the gas the car stutters and you can hear the metal gears shifting. When recalls are fixed, it leads to me having to pay for other issues to be fixed (I. E. Got fuel take recall fixed but paid $900 b/c of other damages caused from the defect- is what I was told). All of these issues have occurred since 2015 when the car was purchased used. Ford put more effort in teaching their dealership personnel how to b. S. Customers with false language of what issues are and not ever being honest. No one should be driving this death trap of a car.
My sterling get stuck and my transmission making noise and my car dont go into reverse.
Side door latch.
I purchased my brand new 2013 Ford Focus, from the dealer in may of 2013. I took it back a week later because it was "clunky" when accelerating. The Ford dealership told me "the car just needs to learn how you drive, we will reset the computer". Since then I have had it "reset" 4 times and am on my 3rd clutch repair. Last week while braking my car decided to accelerate instead. This is the 4th time in a year, one resulting in a bumper on bumper accident with minimal damage. I dont feel safe driving my car, I commute two hours a day. Ford should be ashamed of themselves! if the I had been told back in 2013 when I purchased that there was an issue I would have traded that car the first week.
When I take off from stop position the car shakes and sometimes lunges toward . You never know how long it will take to get through the intersection.
Vehicle shudders violently at times from stop up to 10 mph. This seems to be an intermittent problem for over a year. But has become a problem as it loosened the heat shield. I had warranty work done in September of 2018 and they mentioned this should fix the problem but it hasnt.
Car would not start. Jump started battery. Dashboard reference transmission error. Press ok to clear the message. Shifted from park to reverse and the car would not move. Shifted to drive and car would not move. The vehicle has been to the dealership for the intermediate shifting problems. Ford refers to the shifting problem with transmission as a customer satisfaction program and not a recall. Referencing 14m02 as the control module being the culprit and 14m01 as the transmission clutch being the cousin of the culprit. There are several posting indicating a lack of addressing the faulty issue when driving. We do not believe Ford is taking an active role in identifying tractability of the components we understand there is a lawsuit for this particular problem.
My 2013 Ford Focus has an issue with a stuttering/shuddering type feeling. When I am stopped and then begin to try and accelerate is when the problem occurs. This has been very dangerous at times when I am entering traffic after being stopped. My car does not get to proper speed quickly enough.
The vehicle was bought used,it had a battery boil over issue, the battery has been replaced, the vehicle will not start.
