3 Radio/tape Cd Player problem

Door lock latch opening up while driving. As I was driving one evening from the gas station, the right side back seat door opened up. The door swung open as I made a turn about leave the gas station I was at. I quickly pulled over and looked to see if something was in the way and proceeded to close it. However, the door would bounce back and not shut even after several times. I did some research and found that there was a recall of this year make and model back in 2016 regarding the same problem. The recall specifically indicates for Ford Focuses of 2012-2015(link: https://media. Ford. Com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2016/09/08/Ford-expands-door-latch-safety-recall-in-north-America. Html). As bad is the issue was,I had to drive my car home that night with it swinging open every time I turned corners. Since it was night, I had to use bungee cords and tape to keep the door shut until the next day to take it into the dealership. I also ran the risk of someone being able to easily access my car over night. The recall says that dealership is supposed to take care of this safety issue free of charge by bringing my vehicle to the dealership. However, the dealership indicated that they would not fix this severe safety issue free of charge. They told me that I had to pay the deductible for them to fix it and that there was nothing they can do about that. I for one should not have to pay for this issue considering it was part of a safety recall. I am also upset that they knew about this issue since 2016 and they dealership is not honoring repairing this despite that. I am wanting the dealership to take full responsibility and fix this free of charge or reimburse later for what they are charging me now.

4 Radio/tape Cd Player problem

Ford Focus sync system. There is an extremely loud popping noise that spontaneously sound through the speaker even if the radio is off. It is deafening and extremely startling to the driver as well as any passengers. My 2 year old cries and covers his ears, so much that he has to wear hearing protection on our 45 minute commute back home. It'll even make the sound after I have shut the car off. Once off, opening the door is the only way that it stops. This is the Ford sync media system. I have been told by Ford that I need top replace the sync system because it is not covered by warranty. Might I aff thaty the are countless others out there that are having the same issue with the sync system as I am. I know this is not the usual "safety" issue however I'd challenge anyone to drive and have this issue jump out at them and still say in noooooo way that it effects the way the drive, especially the first time, nor a distraction.

8 Radio/tape Cd Player problem

Failure Date: 12/07/2018

While driving on a highway my vehicle 2014 Ford Focus se began to sputter. Continues to do so until I got in the street on my home and began going under 10 mph. Once I entered my home to put some items down before returning back out, I attempted to start my car. I noticed upon entry of my vehicle that my radio was on without my keys being in the ignition, also my driver door was still open. I attempted to start my vehicle but nothing happened, it didn't tick nor turn. What did happen though was my entire computer system began to cut on as if the vehicle had started and turned. Radio on, dashboard lights present and then cut off, alert for my low tire, trip timer began running. Then an error code regarding something in the lines of fuel. Wasn't quick enough to take a picture of the error message. When I removed my key and called my sister to inform her that I may need a ride for myself and my 6 year old daughter, the dashboard needles jumped vigorously. While sitting. In the vehicle again, the computer system opened up and my trip timer began running and the radio. Again without the keys in the ignition, they were in my lap. The entire night while my vehicle was stationary periodically my car would cut in and off, and engage without the keys in the ignition nor present near he car. Consequently, the constant running of the vehicle by it self ran the battery dead as well. Attempted to contact the Ford dealership, where I purchased the vehicle, and check service and the technician was very rude and continuously interrupted me. When questioning regarding and open recall, 18s32, and mentioning that not only did I call the nthsa number but I also read the recall regarding my vehicle serviceman became even more rude and even disconnected the call.

11 Radio/tape Cd Player problem

Failure Date: 04/12/2017

My vehicle had been brought in for transmission issues before for slipping, and delay when the gas is depressed. Since the repair I've noticed the car's transmission while put in reverse will feel like it slips into neutral. It happened while I was backing into my parking spot in my apartment complex. The transmission is also very jerky when accelerating on an incline and will start to roll backwards. This was also a problem prior to the initial repair so I don't know if this is signifying the return of the problem. In addition to the transmission problem the controls on the steering wheel are also non-responsive or will control something other than what it is supposed to be for (volume + and - change the radio station or end a call). In addition to this, the sync system will either not connect to the phone via bluetooth occasionally or it will not be able to recognize the device. Keep in mind that the phone connecting is a galaxy s7, so I know it is compatible. The electrical problems have been on going and were addressed in the initial transmission repairs but they were not resolved. The second transmission issue occurred again on the annotated date.

12 Radio/tape Cd Player problem

Failure Date: 05/16/2016

I purchased this vehicle from Ford of kirkland in washington state in 2016, and noticed driving issues the day I drove it off the lot. This vehicle has a dps6 transmission and it constantly jerks, shudders and slips out of gear while driving at any speed. It often fails to accelerate or accelerates suddenly and out of control, especially when going uphill. It also frequently overheats, especially when idling, despite having work done on it several times that was supposed to fix this problem. I was told this was an automatic transmission when the vehicle was sold to me, and the dps6 is not an automatic transmission at all. I also frequently have issues with the electrical and radio system. The clock changes randomly and the audio switches unexpectedly to radio stations from blue tooth while driving and then fails to switch back to any blue tooth device, sometimes for several days until it randomly begins working again. This is especially problematic when I am relying on audio directions from navigation apps that are paired from my cell phone while driving. I was also told by Ford of kirkland service center that there is "nothing wrong" with my transmission or my vehicle and that I'm just not driving it "correctly," which makes absolutely no sense. This vehicle and its faulty transmission are unsafe to drive. I do not let anyone else drive this vehicle because I fear for their safety and I only drive it myself in times where it is absolutely necessary, which I can prove by the very small amount of miles I have put on it since purchase. I experience the above stated problems every single time I drive it this vehicle, which is a clearly a lemon by definition. Ford broke the law by selling me this dangerous vehicle with a transmission that they knew was unsafe and by falsely advertising this transmission as an automatic.
