general problems of the 2015 Ford Focus - part 2

My 2015 Ford Focus has continually stopped in traffic causing a safety risk to other drivers and myself. I've taken it in for recalls and repairs but the problem still exists. The front rail hp switch was replaced and the hp fuel pump was replaced too. I'm afraid for people and my life. I have googled the problem and I see thousands of people have the same problem and can't get it fixed without dumping thousands of dollars into it. This has gone too far. I need help. Please. I'm old and not rich.

The engine on the car stalled shortly after the vehicle purchase from a local dealer (within less than two weeks), the dealer claimed that he never had a such issue, I had to get the car towed to a local Ford dealership then they found out the issue was the purge valve sticking causing negative pressure in the gas tank, so they ended up replacing the purge valve and updated the pcm which should have been addressed by the safety recall 18s32 & safety recall 19s22. What makes me confused is that when I did VIN lookup , my car was not affected, however the issue I had seems to be the exact match of those two recalls I mentioned. I nearly paid $800 after tax and this seems quite upsetting after I found out Ford had to recall nearly 1. 5m cars for the same issues which excluded my vehicle. Is there anyway appeal this issue? I highly believe that Ford is responsible for those two issues I had to pay for. I attached the dealer invoice that explained what they did to fix the car.

Engine stalls while driving it and won't start back without warning it use after putting gas in it I seen where they are recall 2012-2018 Ford Focus cpv but when I put the VIN in it doesn't show up but my is doin the same thing.

Car will start surging and then will stall out. First noticed when car was purchased, but was told it was normal for the car to do. I will start the car and it'll run for a few seconds then die. Sometimes for only a couple times and then the car will run okay. There are times it'll surge then die up to 7 times in a row. Only a couple times it has surged and died while out driving. The car would die in the middle of the road. Car started up with issues almost 3 weeks ago and is progressively getting worse. Sometimes the engine light comes on then it will turn off. 2 different dealerships, jess Ford, in pullman washington and joe hall Ford in lewiston idaho, both have done inspections and claimed to have fixed the transmission, but the issue has continued to be an issue. It has happened over 15 plus times of stalling and surging in the last week. Tcm replaced, clutch replaced, fuel purge valve has been replaced. We were told it was a one-time fix, but it has been a nonstop issue since. The technicians informed us that it would fail again, and it did. Car is a 2015 Ford Focus, under 94k miles.

Car will not start after gas is put into the car. Takes a few times to start it back up and will stall if not thrown into drive real quick and speed off. Rpm's will constantly run up. Takes a lot of power to pick up speed or go up a hill.

I started through a busy intersection on a green light. The car lost power stealing in the intersection. I blocked traffic for several minutes before I could get assistance to move the car out of the way. No one hit my car but it was a dangerous situation.

This car cut off while driving it has been taken to the Ford place in covington georgia the problem is still here almost cost me my life cut while entering into traffic it happen often I am paying on this car my job close do to covid I need this car to run better so I can work.

I financed this car with wii auto in arizona , I have had work done multiple times trying to fix the problem and nothing wii auto mechanic or Ford dealership can figure out the problem. Every time I get my car out the shop and spending all this money “to fix the problem” my car does the same thing. My car will shut off while I’m driving because it thinks it’s over heating. I’ve had my battery replaced, fuel pumps/modules replaced, coolant tank replaced, everything they can thing of. I haven’t drove my car in months and I’m still making payments because when I try and talk to the dealership they basically say OH well, the car in my eyes was sold to me as a lemon my car has been in the shop more times than I can think. I have all the paperwork and I feel so helpless because every time I try and talk to wii auto they just brush me off like it’s not a major problem. I almost lost my life in this car because it shut off while I was driving in the freeway. I’ve even gotten loaner cars from this dealership when they were “working on my car” and they’ve done the same things like shut off on me or even almost cost me my life because the back tires were literally coming off the car. I’m in need of help. I’m tired of making payments on a car I haven’t even got to drive. I had to literally go and financed a whole different car from a different dealership because wii auto won’t help.

While driving my car or even allowing my car to idle it starts shaking and will shut off. Once it is off it is very hard to get and keep it started. Once I do get it started I have to rev the engine between 3k and 4k rpm just to get it to stop doing this. I first thought it was only when putting fuel in or idling but it is happening all the time. I used injector cleaner and octane booster to try to help but it is not working. It is throwing a fuel issue when put on the diagnostic. It happens to the point where I cannot safely drive my car. The dealership stated it is probably the canister purge valve but my VIN is not listed although if falls within the year of the recall.

Driving engine will stall and engine won't start if you get gas. Purge valve is not working correctly and there isn't a recall currently on this car but on others 2012-2018 Focuses.

The car feels like lots lacking fuel and it starts to die.

Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Ford Focus. The contact stated that the vehicle would fail to start when placed in park, the contact would have to start the vehicle in neutral. She also stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would either jerk or stall upon depression of the accelerator. The check engine light had illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact had taken the vehicle to autonation Ford union city(4355 jonesboro rd, union city, GA 30291) where the contact was informed that she would need her clutch actuators and dual clutch assembly replaced. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA campaign number: 18v735000(fuel system, gasoline) which she linked to her failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was 157,768. Jo.

I got the clutch fixed under warranty a few weeks ago now the car has the same problem which keeps happening it happened before I keep taking it in too get fixed and the problem keeps getting worse I don't know what it is now. It's a big problem too have for a new car only five years old. It stalled out on me the engine loses power it turned off on me I'm the middle of the intersection which is dangerous. It doesn't shift properly what so ever and I supposedly got the problem fixed. It's becoming a real bother too drive. I maintain the car perfect too have all these problems. I barely made it home in a few occasions with the stalling and the ugly shifting. This car is unsafe and a real hassle too drive, which I keep repairing only too get worse. I suspect the transmission but the clutch has been worked only too get worse.

Multiple Ford dealerships are refusing to complete recall work (recall 18s32) on my 2015 Ford Focus se. I have the paper they sent me detailing the problems, and I am currently experiencing these issues while driving, however Ford says that since they "looked at" the recalled part about 6-8 weeks ago, they can no longer complete the recall work and that I would be financially responsible for fixing this issue.

On Aug. 25, 2020,while driving in city traffic, car stalled multiple times, cil came on, car would not drive. Towed to dealership and diagnosed as faulty fuel pressure senor.

I was instructed to go to service center when my Focus starts jerking, stalling, shaking, and stalling out. I have been at to many intersections when my car almost stalled out which made me fear of my safety and a few near collisions. Vehicle has been stationary at lights as well as in motion on city highways and on t.

Went into a store, parked in parking spot, came out, got in car, placed car in reverse to back out of spot, car began to back up, then slowed down and stopped with engine still on,. I then placed car in drive, went forward, then attempted to back out again, car backed up, then slowed down again, then jerked really hard. After waiting for the cars parked on the right and left side of me to leave, I placed car in reverse again, it stopped again, I placed car in drive, car accelerated slowly, then gave a hard jerk again, and I was able to drive forward and make a complete circle, and drive forward out of the parking spot a half a mile home . Upon entering my driveway, car began to accelerate and stopped when I applied the brakes immediately. The car sat for 24hrs, I then tried to start it up, it started up, but when I placed it into reverse, it did not move at all.

Car stalls and turns off when slowing down or stopping at lights or stop signs I have almost been in two wrecks. This recall happened before I purchased this vehicle and the car company failed to give me information about recall.

When idling for so long the car just died. I opened the door and the alarm went haywire. Then I have to wait 20 to 30 minutes before I can restart the car. Nothing will work after it does this until it's able to be restarted. It's been at the Ford delership. They replaced transmission issue, said that should fix it, but it still keeps on.

I have a 2015 Ford Focus that I got finance through marin county Ford, April 2017. I have taken may car to marin county Ford and recently hilltop Ford regarding the check engine light on and transmission problems. When I drive the car city/highway it shudders, has slow speed, shifting gears, running hot and will not go into reverse. I took my car back to hilltop Ford and they didn't fix the transmission. They broke the coolant tube and charge me to fixt. The issues have not being resolved as of may 21, 2020 my car is undrivable and I have to register it next month by July 7, 2020 as non operable. Hilltop Ford refuse to honor the recall on the transmission issues.

My 1. 0l Focus had a defective canister purge valve and suffered from stalling as described in NHTSA campaign 18v735000. The active diagnostic codes and local Ford dealer diagnosis confirmed the canister purge valve had failed. The only remedy was to pay for my local dealer to replace the canister purge valve out of pocket since my car was not included in the referenced recall. There are many other 1. 0l Focus owners that have said their canister purge valves have failed and needed to be replaced in online forums. .

Tl-tl- the contact owns a 2015 Ford Focus. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 18v735000 ( fuel system, gasoline). The contact stated while driving and making a left turn to up coming traffic the vehicle seized, the contact stated the second time she was in the highway when driving 55 mph the vehicle seized. The contact stated no warn light was illuminated the vehicle was taken to local dealer ed kenley Ford inc located at 1888 n main st, layton, ut 84041 were they were unable to duplicate failure. The vehicle has not repaired as of yet. The manufacturer had been informed of failure. The failure mileage was approximately 45,530.

Car would shutter than stop running while it was in motion. The oil light and battery light would come on. Only once the engine light came on. Then the car wouldn't start again for awhile, at least 20 minutes. This problem would keep on happening the longer the car had been on, for example, every time we had to stop, such as at a stop light on a city street, the car would shutter then shut off. Once, it had shut off on an expressway as I was about to go on an exit and it wouldn't turn on again for an hour.

Sticky canister purge valve.

The vehicle was replaced. The contact mentioned NHTSA campgin:18v735000(fuel system, gasoline)as a possible solution to the failure. That the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact to contact NHTSA to place a complaint. Ck.

Recall notice was �software� update to detect hardware issue. No issue detected. The hardware that had issued failed 2 weeks later. Ford states that the recall was completed and cannot open. The equipment (canister valve) that the recall was created for failed.

Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Ford Focus. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline) the contact stated that while attempting to drive off from a stop, the vehicle shut off and restarted. The check engine light illuminated. The contact did not called the dealer and the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure was neither diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was 81,691. VIN tool confirms parts not available. Fe.

Purchased used from a Ford dealer used 2015 Ford Focus. Was told that vehicle had to lern my style of driving. Car shutters when going accelerating, take time to shift between 1,2,3, gears. Also shutters at other speeds in the middle of shifting. Cannot shift quickly from parked or in stopped position like at a stop light or when merging into traffic. Car also now revs high and has to be cooled down after driving. I cannot trust vehicle to be driven by other family members due to transmission and engine acceleration problems. Has been an ongoing problem but dealership charges for diagnostics and states that it is the way I drive.

I drove to the market to get some food and when I came back the car would not turn on we tried jump starting and it seemed like it wanted to start but it didn't.

Takata recall my cars transmission light is on and a message came up saying transmission at fault. Also when I would stop completely at a stop sign or red light the car would shudder and make a weird noise. I've been have trouble turning it on, I would have to jump start it every now and then.

We have had a repeated code p090c that has ultimately led us to the clutch actuators which are controlled by the tcm. This has caused the transmission to jump into other gears while driving, preventing the movement of the car once parked/then engaged into reverse stops working. Within the 24 hour period, the codes disappear then the mechanics cannot diagnose or confirm the issue??? I purchased my own code tester and figured this out on my own. Now, Ford still does not have this as a recall even though this is a major issue with this make/model. There is an extended warranty on the part itself for those in the same situation, however, finding a dealer that will make the repairs without the codes in the car, that is the real difficulty. There is a class action lawsuit floating around for this issue as well. This happens when the car is in drive on ih 35 in austin texas. This also happens when parking the vehicle once the check engine light comes on.

Also, the check engine indicator illuminated and an abnormal noise was heard. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to have an oil change and was informed that the failure was associated with NHTSA campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline). The contact stated that the vehicle had previously been repaired per this recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 60,598.

18s32 manufacturer recall & 18v735 NHTSA recall. This recall was first posted approximately 8. 5 months ago and I still have not heard anything about bringing it in for repair. This is a huge safety concern and I have a child I transport in it daily. I want and need this recall resolved ASAP as I will soon be transporting another young child. I can feel it acting funny as if something isn't moving properly or it is stalling like it isn't getting fuel when I am moving whether it's slow fast, short distance or long distance and has been happening more and more consistently for the last month or two.

When trying to accelerate from stop my car sputters/ stutters and tries to stall out. It also has something wrong in the electrical system that has caused my stereo and other functions to no longer work.

There is an active recall on my vehicale for cpav valve. My car is experiencing all symptoms of the recall, but the dealership is telling me I might not be covered because my vehicle passed a test a few months ago when I brought it in for another issue (the transmission, which was under warranty). They say they are waiting to hear back from Ford for further instruction, but I have been waiting for more than 2 days with no response.
