The contact indicated that the vehicle would stall several times before operating as normal. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer riser Ford/Lincoln located at 4201 central Ave, hot springs ar. Who reprogrammed the power control module under the NHTSA recall campaign number 18v73500(fuel system) but the failures continued to occur. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 40,000. Jft.
Tl the contact owns a 2016 Ford Focus. While the vehicle was at a complete stop, the engine stalled without warning when pressure was applied to the accelerator pedal. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 46,000.
Tl the contact owns a 2016 Ford Focus. While driving various speeds, the vehicle shuddered and failed to properly accelerate. The failure occurred several times while attempting to merge into traffic at highway speeds. The vehicle was taken to chapman Ford (6744 black horse pike, egg harbor township, NJ) where it was diagnosed that the dual clutch transmission was faulty and needed to be replaced. The clutch was replaced at 18,000 miles, but the failure recurred and the clutch was replaced a second time at 53,000 miles. Recently, the failure recurred at 79,000 miles. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. In addition, after receiving a recall notice for NHTSA campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system), the check engine indicator illuminated prior to the engine stalling. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer where the purge valve was replaced. The failure was remedied. The failure mileage was 18,000.
