There is water leaking from my car into the engine. It is seeping under the cowl. This is causing water to get into my air filter and causing problems with my maf system. This problem occurs when it rains or when I wash my vehicle. I just purchased the vehicle on Nov. 9 2009. I was not disclosed of this issue. I have not taken it for repair as repair costs are astronomical. I have seen hundreds of others with the same vehicle (Ford Focus) with water leak problems. I own a 2005 Ford Focus. I am terrified to drive my car in the ran because it hesitates and causes the engine to misfire. I am scared that it will happen on the road and I will get killed and ran over my truck or something. Please do something about Fords poor workmanship.

I bought Ford Focus 2003 at 38,000 (certified pre-owned) from premier Ford inc in brooklyn, NY in 5/04, had massive leaking of water during and after rain a month later in 6/04. This was repaired by dealership because it was under 90 day warranty. It was fine until this month 12/05 and is now again soaking my passenger floor when it rains or snows. I took to dealership, they said they cannot repair it - take it down the street where they "always take it for this problem anyway". I called Ford, they said it may be covered under my extended warranty, but the dealership needs to diagnose the problem. Apparently, this is a very common problem with Ford Focus' according to the dealership and from many postings online I have found. It seems to be a structural design defect in the dash causing massive flooding into the car and if it does get into driver floor would be a safety hazard since your feet could slip off petals while trying to operate the vehicle.
Water leaking on to the floorboard of the passenger side of the car. Repair person said it might be the heater core but there is no leaking of anti-freeze.
Driver side airbag in steering wheel cracking open in my 2002 Ford Focus. This may be a problem in deployment of the airbag if it is ever activated. These should be recalled and replaced.
Brand new Ford Focus has heavy rust on the dashboard frame. The Ford motor company says this is normal oxidation on untreated metal.
On any rainy days the floor on the front passenger's side leaks water. Dealersip was notified.

Ll removed from car then reinstalled, to try to fix water leaks. We now fill nothing will work correcty and car is not safe to drive, since steering wheel was removed then reinstalled, Ford dealership service department did all this work. Car is a lemon.

I bought this car brand new in September. The first problem the car had was that the pollen filter became blocked and it had been raining out so all the water from outside came right into my car and I got about an inch of water in the passenger side of my car all over the floor. The enxt thing that happened was my driver side front tire blew while driving down a road, there were no potholes and no curbs that I could have hit for this to happen. About a month after this I noticed that the plastic had started bubbling up and peeling on the lower b pillar on the passenger side of the car, also the carpet had come unglued (from when my car flooded) and had now pulled away from the sill. Also, the wetherstripping had come unglued from the windshiel and you can now see the sharp edge of the windsheild. My car is in service today getting that fixed. There is also, still a rattling noise coming from where the speedometer is. This has been going on since I bought the car and has not stopped. However, every time I take it to the dealership, it does not make this noise, so they cannot fix it.
While driving a "pop" noise was heard and vehicle stopped running. It looked like the front end of the vehicle was coming off or loosened. Vehicle is currently at the dealer. No determination of the problem has been made.
These items have not been repaired. (body) the metal dressing at the base of the window on the driver side is warped. (paint) the roof has several 2 - 3 inch cracks and the hood has approx. 100 1/2 cracks all in various places.
My Focus (manufactured October 1999) has had several problems with rusting paint. The first, reported in July was covered under the 36k bumper-2-bumper warranty. The latest (reported January '03), will not be. My zts sedan is rusting on the rear two doors on the inside about 1 1/2 inches up from the bottom of the door (where the metal is crimped). With less than 3-4lbs of force, I can take off portions of metal. This is not good business or engineering! in two years, I will have a hole in my door and I will be sending Ford the repair bill and it will be paid for by Ford.
The front and back floors were flooded, the dealership was unable to locate the source of the problem.
Other - lose fender wheelshield/told part on recall as defective body - dings in fender panel/told part defective replaced under warranty.
Every time it rained the car would leak water on passenger side floor from behind glove box. Dealership attempted to fix 5 times. Ford agreed car was a lemon and bought it back after 6 months and 31 days of being out of service.
