Multiple mechanics working at and including but not limited firestone, discount tires, midas, walmart, independent mechanics have informed me the rear wheels can not be realigned with the front wheels due to how it was designed. This has caused my rear wheels to become more and more out of alignment with no way to repair the misalignment. So all steering components have been more and more hard to control and are being destroyed at a faster rate. Including but not limited car sound deadening stuff. Bolts, nuts, screws, undercarriage, tire wear, the front alignment etc. It has not been inspected by anyone but mechanics.

This is the second failure of the door latch we’ve had. 1st time was drivers door. Today was passenger door. Ford dealers refuse to fix it. Carthage Ford sold me the parts and I paid my mechanical c to fix the drivers door. $200 for the door latches $200 to install. Now I have to do the passenger door. I was under the impression this should be free as it’s a recall I’ve contacted Ford corporate and didn’t get anywhere with them either. They were supposed to get something set up with a local dealer but never heard back from them. This is a huge safety issue. Please help me either getting reimbursed for the earlier repairs and parts and maybe getting the others fixed or at least pay the bill if I have to get them done.

My vehicle seized up as I was driving it and I wrecked it aside a median. I had to tow it to the Ford dealership for them to diagnose it as the recall stated. The recall wasn’t officially out yet, so I had to tow my vehicle back to my house. This happened in February 2024. I have received a new engine, but had to continue to make payments on a car that I was not able to drive and only received a rental within the past 6 weeks since I have paid for new brakes, new battery, new tires, and an alignment. None of these things were covered for the recall except the engine. The dealership clearly states that because my car has been sitting I have to purchase these other items. I have reached out to corporate and the dealership and haven’t gotten anywhere. I don’t know if even doing this will help, but I definitely feel taken advantage of. I think someone should reimburse me for tires and battery due to the extended time it sat. Heck, even the brakes too.

I noticed that kia had a recall for emergency trunk release. I have a 2014 Ford Focus. The manual says there should be a release latch in the trunk, but there is none.
Rocker panels rust out and cause the lifting points on the car unable to be used. Mechanics refuse to work on my car due to not being able to lift the vehicle per manufacturer lifting points.

New clutch failing after 20000 miles about 1. 5 years after factory change. Car shutters when trying to change gear. Dealership has been able to reproduce issue but doesn't want to cover it. Transmission randomly goes into neutral when driving on highway at speed. This has caused issues with maintaining control as engine power is not going to propel car while surrounded by other vehicles on highway. Dealer has not reproduced issue. Driver side door when ambient air temperature exceed 85 or 90 degrees, door not easily opened. Occurred for dealership personnel too. In none of these instances, warning lights appeared. My safety and others is at risk if the clutches fail prematurely, transmission randomly goes into neutral while in drive at speed around others on the highway, and if the driver door is sticking closed when temperatures get hot. Car is available for inspection.

Back passenger side door won’t latch.
The rear driver side door latch will not latch and stay closed. The door swung open while I was driving. It has not been reproduced. It has not been inspected. I believe something is wrong with the door latch, but I do not use this door very much.
The vehicle was being towed by a class a RV using a manufacturer approved towing system. All connections and safety measures were properly installed and tested just prior to incident. Vehicle has been towed using the same equipment for several years with no incident. The attachment from the frame to the front-end assembly completely separated and the vehicle body went into oncoming traffic. The vehicle in oncoming lane was struck and one individual injured. Upon visual examination, the frame component appears to have failed on both sides at the front-end. The bolts are still in-tack, tight and uncompromised. This is a frame component failure.
Vehicle has a recall for rear door latches. I have attempted to take the vehicle to 2 different cloninger Ford in hickory and cloninger Ford in valdese. Both dealerships claim they can not do the recall due to parts. I would like to know what steps do I need to take to get my vehicle repaired for this recall!.

My vehicle has been with me since I’ve had it since 32,000 miles it’s up to 87,000 miles now the first thing I had to replace the starter at 32,000 the alternator and cv axle on the passenger side and the clutch is second and third clutch and the inside dome lights an the dash lights shorted out all went out the day after I got it now since then at 84,000 the the front clip just fell off going down the road it never dragged the ground an it was never broken but going down the interstate at 70 the speed limit it fell down an ripped out from under the car an hit the car behind me costing me a lot of money but now currently at 87,000 the cv axel on the passenger side has started knocking again bye far one of the worst cars I’ve ever bought.
While driving on the highway my 2016 Ford Focus stalled without warning and would not start until after having it towed. When I go to the gas station after filling the gas tank my vehicle is either hard to start or doesn't start until after waiting a while. This happens often. My check engine light stays on and it smells like gas from the outside. The front-end apron of my vehicle has recently fallen off without warning and for no reason. I took my vehicle to san tan Ford in gilbert, arizona where I purchased my 2016 Ford Focus in may of 2016. The technicians' diagnosis was engine light ml on 2pcm code p1450 p0507 fuel tank leaking replace leaking fuel tank and recommend new fuel pump possible damaged from excessive vacuum applied to tank code p1450 replace canister purge valve for code p1450 stuck open & retest. Dealership and Ford motor company is refusing to do repairs stating that my VIN number does not have any recalls and refused to check my front-end apron joints for recall 17s03 although my front-end apron has unattached for no reason. The technician also included that the front-end motor mount is collapsed and recommend replacing mount. Water pump replacement inspection found leaking recommend replacing water pump. Also, the degas bottle cracked and leaking coolant and damaged from excessive vacuum applied to tank the canister purge valve malfunction causing excessive vacuum in the vapor management system. Stuck canister purge valves cause it to stall. If the cpv is replaced, dealers should inspect and replace the carbon canister, fuel tank and fuel delivery module as necessary. Bearing failed as the result of a sudden overload caused by vibration or imbalance compounded by rapid engine acceleration. This overloads the bearing generating a great deal of heat. Amplified through rapid acceleration and high rpm operation.
There is a warning light showing a code 1450, unable to create fuel vacuum, that at first was thought to be an issue with a current recall for the car that was fixed. But after a routine oil change a fuel leak was found. I was told by the mechanic that it appears to be a fuel tank deformation similar to the 19s22 recall. My Ford Focus was not apart of that recall and I was told by Ford to contact you to potentially have my car added. The leak is subnational enough that it could cause an engine fire.
I bought this car in February of this year, and the problems were present at purchase, I have brought it in and had them looked at but unable to determine what was wrong. The car sometimes stalls out whenever parked, or idling. Every time I put gas in, then start it, the vehicle will start then immediately stall. I have to start it and push the gas to keep it from stalling and quickly put into drive and his the gas to get it from stalling when I try to drive away. While starting the car the rpms go very high and reves as if someone was pushing the gas. The hood display on the dash always says the hood is open. This has been present since start.
My daughter opened the passenger side rear door. When she pulled it shut it would not catch. Because the door would not shut the door ajar warning is staying on. We were out so I had to drive it home and it came open. So we tied it with a rope. I'm taking it to a dealership tomorrow.
I have taken my car into to carson city, nv Ford dealer many times. They say they fixed something else and do not have the time to fix the door latches that I made the appointment for . The only one that needs to be done is the back door on the driver's side. The rest were done the first time I took it in. I'm on a six plus month waiting list again to have the latch replaced with the right one! this has gone on way to many years. What happens if the door open and then closes on a kid/person in the back seat? safety recall notice 20s30 / NHTSA 20v-331.
Latch on hatchback doesn't latch, or unlatches, in cold temperatures. Has happened multiple times, and results in rapid cycling of the door locks on the rest of the vehicle as a result of the auto-unlocking configuration.
Both front door latches have failed and will not open from the outside.

I was driving down the highway and my door locking latch and cable failed. The door came open going 75 mph. The defective dealership part I found out is the subject of recalls on other Ford Focus year models but my model was left off the recall. This is a huge safety concern as my door is unable to lock at all times including highway driving.

Was told parts still backoreded. Door latches present safety hazard.
Wheels such as automatic and manual transmissions, transfer cases, fluid cooling/management systems and related hoses and pipes, electronic control units and software, shift lever/gear control and indicator devices, clutches and torque convertors, drive axles, hubs, I have my service system report from the diagnostic. I've called the manufacturer they said they could not do anything. I have to go get my police report again I lost it mam ive gotnmy other paper work until then thank you I have been having problems with these people please help me god bless.
Just to get it out of the way, my vehicle is currently in italy due to my work location. The car is also us spec but was transported here. Approximately 2 months ago, my rear driver door latch gave out, this causes my door to swing wide open since it is unable to latch on and lock. After having this issue, I found out that there was a recall for this already. I then took the vehicle to the nearest Ford dealership to me. They said they would email me when the part came in since they have to order it first, about a month goes by and no email so I drive there again and they say they have the part. I am then told to make a date to get the work done, roll over a few days and I get the car there and drop it off and wait. After the long 2 hours, I am informed that they replaced the 2 front door latches, then they proceed to tell me that the recall is only for the front doors and that I would have to pay out of pocket to get the rear latches done. Confused, I show them the statement from the Ford and NHTSA website that states, "owners will be notified by mail and instructed to take their vehicle to a Ford or Lincoln dealer to have all affected door latches replaced with a more robust service part. There will be no charge for this service. ". To this day, I am still being told that same information from them that it is not covered in that recall. I am now stuck and don't know what to do since I cannot get the work done any where else because of my location. I have tried using the chat now feature on Fords' website without any luck.
Safety issue 3 of doors will not open from outside in a accident if the driver side damaged there will no way to open doors from outside this should be enough for a recall.
After completing door latch recall there is still an alert the the hatchback is open. And doesn't shut off. The dealer states that I have to pay for replacement since the recall shows complete. Except the instructions did not show anything in regards to this component , in regards to the fuel system, the dealer said I would have to pay for test to determine if the pcm would fix the engine ight after I took in for recall.
Rear passenger door wont latch shut. Door flies open when making turns.

Ford recall 20530, NHTSA recall 16v-643. Car was serviced under recall but has exhibited issue with door opening since recall service. Within the last 6 months the car will give a warning that the door is ajar while driving. The issue is intermittent but has happened on multiple occasions. Contacted Ford directly and it was stated that they will not repair car under the recall. The "warranty for the recall has expired" all repairs even though they are directly related to the recall will have to be repaired "out of warrany". This is clearly a safety issue. A car door should not open when traveling at 65mph.
The rear quarter glass seals have both started leaking within 2 months of each other. Water enters through the seal leak and enters the hatch and under rear seats. I have verified this is the leak by spraying a water hose on the outside and watching it leak pretty heavily in the inside of the vehicle.
Got in my car to go work started down road and the ada's it showed up on my dash that it was the trans fault service now I turned around and come home. I called the service man at Ford place where I bought the car. Before this happened the car was taking to them because the car was not pulling right they looked at it and said nothing was wrong and I called them and nothing was done in June 2019 and now my car is not drivable now it's been down since 12/24/2020 I called the Ford place and they can't get it in till 01/04/2021. This has been very inconvenient for not do I have health issues, but my daughter is 81/2 months pregnant and I have no way to go . I've only have had this car 1year and 8 months and it's been nothing but trouble. .
Parked the car, turned motor off, smelled smoke, release inside hood, more smoke coming from under hood, could not open hood up,flames started shooting out, called 911 who called fire department, several small explosions before fire department, whole front car engulfed in flames. Vehicle just turned 21000 miles, h. Ad not been driven for a car since I had 2 surgeries for fractured feet and just started driving several weeks ago. Did damage to my sons motor home and driveway. Vehicle had been garage kept since new and no maintenance performed on vehicle other than 1 recall which dealer took care of it in 2/2020. Luckly no one hurt. Vehicle was stationary and just shut off when incident occurred. Can get photos from my daughter-in-law as I didn't take any at the time. Vehicle has been declared a total loss. ## #vpic# 1 - check digit (9th position) does not calculate properly; 3 - VIN corrected, error in one position (assuming check digit is correct); 14 - unable to provide information for all the characters in the VIN. #vpic#.
There rear drivers door won't shut and I just found out it was recalled.
Entered vehicle as usual closed door and began driving (vehicle was in motion). While in operation driving down a city street the driver side door swung open. I attempted to close door immediately but door would not close. It bounced open at every attempt. I pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road where after many attempts I was able to close the door. I attempted to open door to get into the vehicle the door latch pulled but the door would not open latch remained in pulled position and door unable to be opened at all. This malfunction appears to be a broken door latch which was recalled for vehicles (not including mine) NHTSA recall number 17v652000. However Ford stated my VIN was not covered under recall. I am currently awaiting a estimate for repair as it is extremely dangerous to operate the vehicle in this condition.
Car was hesitant to go and skipping and makes awful noise on the passenger side front when on highway road noise. Dealer replaced clutch and seals and did a transmission service. Nothing was done about the awful road noise.
