Took my vehicle in for the recall on the door latches and they said everything was good and when l check the VIN on the NHTSA it states that recall incomplete. Also Ford had a recall my Ford Focus in my 2012 year about the evap l have had code p0456 in relation to p0456 evaporative emissions system - small leak detected. Ford supposely did a recall on this and supposely did work on my vehicle before l owned it, now it has same issue so l believe it was never changed out? I believe that recall was back in 2016 or 2017 or 2018?.

On 9/2/2020 around 10 pm in michigan I was making a pizza delivery, I pulled into the subdivision where I had to make the delivery, all the sudden my car completely shut off. I couldn't accelerate or brake. I got my car fo saftey away from the houses because my first instinct was safety. I grab my phone to call my boss, I thought my car juat broke down. Then I saw smoke and sparks. I called the emergency services and the cars smoke got darker and the flames got bigger. I was very scared. All my windows exploded and the car melted to ground. By the looks of my photo the fire started near the battery and cables. Ever since that night, I've been scared of fires, hot surfaces, and weary around cars. I'm lucky to be alive but it was very dangerous as the flames reached about 10 feet high. Luckily it did not catch anything near by on fire.

For some time now I have been trying to get 2 recalls fixed on my vehicle : 18v735 and 16v643. When I previously called the dealership they did not have the parts yet for the recalls. Just yesterday while driving with a passenger in the rear seat of the car the rear door came open by itself and now will not close. I called the dealership (loganville Ford in monroe georgia) who told me 1. That they could not get me in for the repair until next Wednesday (9/9) and 2. They would not provide a loaner vehicle. I explained first that how was I supposed to drive a vehicle for a week with a door that would not close? and second this is my only mode of transportation, this is not something I did to my vehicle , this is a safety defect by the manufacturer that needs to be addressed and Ford and / or the dealership needed to provide a loaner or a rental (at the manufacturers expense) until the safety repairs can be addressed and made. I further explained that safety recalls should take precedence over other repairs as it is a hazard and someone can get hurt. Both Ford and the dealership are both denying use of a loaner and I am yet to hear back about a rental at the manufacturers expense and I do not think it will come to fruition. I am going to reiterate, this is not something that I did to my vehicle, this is a serious safety recall that needs to be addressed. If the latches can be replaced on all 4 doors and the fuel tank deformation can all be repaired in a few hours I have no problem waiting on the vehicle, however we know that these repairs never take less than one day, all reports I read say it may take up to 4. That said, Ford needs to provide either a loaner or a rental at their expense, not mine. This is my last stop to get closure in this case, I have spoken to far too many people and am not getting anywhere, my next stop will be to the local and national news.

Air compression inside has always had air come inside the car never being sealed. Car engine overheats when they use their own products. Tire fault, they claim they couldn't see it, but if they really do diagnostic test as they charge, then they should see all the codes that come up on faults. Ford knows they have had issues with the cars but when you take car in they claim they can't see it, claims to do a diagnostic test, which they don't. Ask about the results they claim there is no diagnostic test for it, but yet they scam with warranty and yourself. Doors leak they say it's normal but it brings mold inside the car. I start it up to keep the battery going and to find someone honest who won't cheat you, cuz the dealerships are scamming folks. Same thing numerous times so I used the last date.

The back drivers side door no longer closes. No damage was done to the car, it just stopped latching. The door bounces back instead of closing. Car was unlocked, off, and parked at home.

Trunk opens while driving.

I took my Ford Focus 2013 into the Ford dealership on June 2020. There was a recall for the door latches 20s30 code. The dealership said they took care of it. I just checked online and it?s hasn?t been fixed. It?s been almost a year and we?ve been driving it with a newborn baby not knowing that they haven?t fixed the recall.

My dps6 transmission again had a severe shuddering incident when pulling out into 55 mph rush hour traffic on a 6-lane highway. After the shudder discontinued and speed was increased to approximately 50 mph, while attempting to navigate into another lane, I had a significant loss of power after engaging the accelerator to the floor with zero response from the transmission. Due to this defect, my vehicle was struck in the rear by an oncoming vehicle.

I began to notice my vehicle having lighting issues, including dimmer inside dome lights, flickering license plate lights, and it was pointed out to me that my back up lights weren't functional at all. I was parked parallel with other vehicles in a parking lot. Then after starting my vehicle, I shifted my automatic transmission into reverse going only about 2 mph when the vehicle began to beep, along with a warning that my luggage compartment door was open. In the situation, the beeping was very distracting and could have increased the risk of crashing. I immediately re-parked my vehicle so that I could investigate. I opened , then firmly closed all 4 of my doors, then tired to open the trunk , only to find that my trunk wouldn't open. The beeping persisted until I pressed the ok button on my steering wheel. I was able to drive my vehicle home safely, although the warning remained on my display the entire drive home. My trunk wouldn't open when pressing on the trunk release button on my Smart-key either. I drove the vehicle in that condition for approximately 3 months before I was able to located the source of the problem. After doing ample research on other 2012 Ford Focus drivers that complained of the same symptoms. So I accessed my trunk by folding my back seats down, then pulling the emergency trunk release lever. I then located the faulty wires that were causing all of my symptoms. I had the wires repaired by a professional. That solution worked for about 3 months before reoccurring.

On 5/26/20, replacement driver's side front door latch stopped working. The latch was replaced in 2017 under the recall.

Drivers side rear door will not latch just flies open.

I went to get in my car whei got in I close the back right door and it wouldn't close I then went to see that it was a recall. The next day I took my car to Ford I was told that it wasn't my vi�. That was in around September 2019. Bc last Monday I went to my appt got in my car close the door and it wouldn't close so now my driver side want close and I am at a lost because I have nothing but problems with this car I don't miss payment I just want a reliable carn.

I was involved in a spin out due to rainy weather on Monday April 6th, 2020. The car ended up hitting the concrete divider in the center of the freeway in access of 55 mph and the airbags did not deploy, even though the vehicle had frontal/ side impacts. I was unharmed in the event, but it is concerning to me, as my car was totaled and the frame warped around the engine.

Same issue with previous door latch recall, it is broken again and since it has already "been repaired" they will not fix it again. Door will not lock or will get stuck in a locked position and will not close.

The rear passenger side door lock has malfunctioned. Causing door not being able to relock or close. I have 38292 miles on my car that I'm still paying on. I cannot drive my car unsafely with my two grandchildren (who live with me). The door could open at anytime.

Electrical system that supports the radio. I would like to report this electrical because something leaked from the radio area, burning the car interior near the radio. Radio started making a popping noise before the burn. Know the radio does not work in the off position radio still pops. Scared to drive because of safety. Date may be wrong. . . But on file Ford douglasville thornton road.

In January, I was involved in a traffic crash. I applied the breaks to my vehicle (giving plenty of time to come to a stop and only traveling 20 mph ) but the vehicle did not come to a complete stop. As a result, I hit a vehicle in front of me. I do not know what the vehicle would not stop. It was as if the breaks were not working correctly.

On December 12th, 2019, I was involved in a three-car fender bender on fairfax county parkway in virginia. I was traveling in slow-moving traffic at 7:20am, close to reston hospital, when the two cars in front of me slammed on their brakes unexpectedly and I unfortunately could not brake in time to avoid hitting the car in front of me. The car directly in front of me was a Toyota SUV and had a tow-bar, which took most of the impact of the crash and caused damage to my vehicle. Aside from some minor scratches, both of the other cars involved in the accident were fine and the two drivers were able to continue on their ways to work. My car, on the other hand has been declared a total loss by my insurance company as it immediately burst into flames upon impact. As I mentioned above, the traffic was slow-moving so we were not traveling at more than 25-30mph at any time on that stretch as we navigated the traffic. This should have been a very low-impact and minor incident; however, for some unknown and unexplainable reason, the Ford Focus was on fire before I even knew that I had crashed. The impact was so minimal that no airbags deployed. Firefighters were onsite within 5 minutes and had difficulty putting out the blaze. In addition, I was still in the car while it was on fire because it happened immediately upon impact, so while I was lucky to walk away without any physical injuries, I was immediately taken to the ambulance to monitor my vitals and try to control my shock. I realize that there have been recalls of Ford Focus vehicles purchased in 2017 and prior; however, I strongly believe that the safety concerns raised in previous lawsuits against Ford pertain directly to the 2018 model as well. We had already replaced the clutch in the Focus after a year and a half because of a transmission failure also noted in previous years.

I own a 2013 Ford Focus that is experiencing door latch failures. I have discovered that their is a recall notice for the Ford Focus door latches but based the VIN for my vehicle my vehicle is apparently not covered. (safety recall 16s30) the vehicle was stationary at the time of the failure of the driver's side rear door latch. The latch opened but then would no longer engage to hold the door closed. I tried to rectify the issue with Ford motor company but they just state that my particular VIN is not covered.

The vehicle was taken to autonation Ford located at 2525 34th st n, st. Petersburg, FL 33713 who replaced the dual clutch shifter but the failures continued to occur and the message transmission failure was displayed. Additionally, the sunroof would not completely close causing rain to leak into the cabin of the vehicle, all 4 doors would not shut properly, the tire air monitoring system malfunctioned, and the catalytic converter failed. The cause of the failures were not determined. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 63,000.

Bought this vehicle on October 28 2019 and the next day the car stall and was almost hit from behind while carring a patient I was driving to the doctors office on October 29 2019 took car back they said they had fix the issue then the next date it rain it all got wet on the passager side took to dealship they had the care since Nov 4 pick up on Nov 22 and car still has same issue and it was stationary when getting wet and in motion when it stall and it is a risk because I carry patients in my car every day it my job and dealship has yet to give me paper invoice on repairs done to car and I call them and speak with them they say im going to call you back and they dont its sames Ford dealship in kingsville texas and I do have video on the day it was getting wet in side and you can see how the water was dripping.

It sounds as if a bolt has come loose inside the driver's side door. It rolls forward and back with every acceleration and stop. It happened when I took my car into the shop to have them repair the clutch that had been recalled. It didn't do it when I dropped it off, but it was doing it when I picked it up.

Door latches have failed after being installed do to recall twice in a little over 2 years 3 doors in total have fail two recently Ford is refusing to fix somebody going to get killed because of this issue I am a heavy collison tect with close to 59 years experiance they done nothing to resolve this issue.

The vehicle was not taken to a dealer and was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but did not assist. The approximate failure mileage was 112,000. Aw.

The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact also mentioned that the vehicle was repaired for door latches the first time in 08/03/15 and 08/6/17. The vehicle was not repaired this last time. The approximate failure mileage was 103,000. Bp.

Spring clip broke post recall replacement 2012 Ford Focus rear driver door. Car was stationary when first noticed issue. Door will not latch closed nor allow other car doors to be locked. Poses safety risk to children in back seat and protection risk to car theft.

The contact discovered that the engine mounts failed and caused the engine to fall from the engine compartment. The vehicle was towed to yreka motors Ford (1545 s. Main st, yreka, CA), but the cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 36,000.

Pcm/ecm software inadequate to detect a stuck open canister purge valve(cpv) yes it is available for inspection upon request. After recall service was performed the 2012 Ford Focus se slipped out of gear. The car stalled. The vehicle stopped completely while driving in traffic. The vehichle shoot had no power. The message center display said engine malfunction,transmission failure and starting system failure. The vehicle was taken back immediately to the Ford certified shop. The vehicle did not have any problems until recall service was performed. Yes the vehicle was inspected again . There werent any warning lamps or messages or any mechanical or electrical or software problems . The symptoms did not begin until after recall service was performed by a Ford certified repair facility. Ford stated if the vehicle exhibited any issues after service was performed to take the vehicle back nto were recall service was performed and the car will be fixed free of charge. This did not happen the car has 55 thousand miles on it . It has sat in my driveway since September of 2019. The door latches could come open on their own. I was told that recall service was performed on my 2012 Ford Focus se by the Ford certified mechanic facility mike white Ford of cd'a idaho. In fact they never performed the brepairs or even looked at the doors. After repair work was supposedly done I received a letter stating that service was not done and to take my car back to the same place that destroyed my car in the first place . Ford motor company refuses to do as their recall letter stated. Ford motor company denies any fault concerning my 20123 Ford Focus . Its been almost three years of me trying to get my car repaired. The Ford motor company absolutely knew the 2012 Ford Focus had major issues . They chose to sell the car to the consumers any way.

2013 Ford Focus jerks while accelerating, was told recall was for extended warranty only via kindle Ford. Also the trunk no longer opens, but beeps when car is on saying the trunk is open. Was told this was a recall in 2017 that was fixed before we purchased the vehicle, but now it's up to us to pay for it.
