Driver side interior door latch broken. Can not lock car with key fob.
Shifts so hard it fells like engine will drop also loses power and almost caused an accident on highway.
I bought a 2006 Ford Fusion and not even a month later the inside driver side handle cracked. I cant lock my door while driving or when I'm parked and I'm afraid it's going to make it to where I can't get out in case of an emergency!.
Interior drivers side door handle broke preventing the ability to open the door from the inside.
My air has quit working for the second time in 2 yrs iin my 2006 Ford Fusion. I took it to have it serviced the the tech said that there was nothing he could do. That he had several other Ford Fusions with the same problem. He said that the a/c compressor won't turn on. The a/c evaporator discharge air temperature sensor may have went bad. I would list to add this to the recall list. Thank you!.
Driver side inner door handle cracked last year, making it difficult to open door. Ford repaired it for $302. Now the left rear inner door handle is cracked. I rarely carry passengers, so it is not due to misuse. My wife was sitting in the back seat and could not get out. Also, it now appears the front passenger handle is beginning to deteriorate. I have contacted the Ford dealership and Ford customer service and they deny responsibility and say it is outside warranty. I believe this problem could be very dangerous.
When driving car 25 miles per hour the car stops jerks decelerates the eventually kicks back up some times it does it with normal speed . Which has almost caused several accidents when car suddenly decelerates stops in the flow of traffic then having to wait till it kicks back up or just try to pull off road to keep from getting hit very scary when driving on highway of in rush hour traffic! or putting on flashers at the last minute hoping not to get hit!.
Millage and date are approximate but very close. The drivers door inside door handle broke, this failure made it impossible to open the car door from the inside. I have pictures documenting the failure which show the location of the failure. This could become very dangerous if the handle broke in a situation where an emergency exit was needed. I have called Ford and registered a complaint with them about this, I have also done some research online and from talking to my local dealer I have found that this is an entirely all to common occurrence. I am just now getting around to fixing this because the door latch has now stopped working (2/13/2011, ~38. 000mi), I am assuming the failure of the door latch is a direct result of the broken interior handle and letting it go without being repaired.
My door handles have snapped and broke off. . . Driver side and drivers back door. . . They are plastic with a fake chrome coating. Im the only drive no kids and back seat is rarely used car has 30,000 mile issue began @ 20,000 bought car brand new.
Keys cannot be removed from ignition because of defective shifter mechanism. Button becomes stuck due to poorly manufactured piece and car can shift out of gear and roll away and cause injury. Keys can't be removed, doors can't be locked. $400+ to fix and not covered by warranty, even though a technical service bulletin was issued regarding the part? this should be considered a recall as it is a widespread problem. A quick google search revealed hundreds of other customers with the same problem! have not repaired the problem, because like I said, it is not covered by warranty and I can't afford it. This is dangerous! I just bought this car!.
Since we've owned our 2006 Ford Fusion we have had to replace the door handle for the passenger and both back passenger seats multiple times. Once these handles fail (randomly with no warning) they cannot be operated from the inside. This requires getting someone to open the door from the outside. We fear that in an accident we might become trapped. It's my understanding that I'm not alone with this issue with our 2006 Fusion, but Ford has yet to recall these obviously defective parts.
