general problems of the 2016 Ford Fusion

Air bag light comes on sometimes not other car panic alarm goes off at random times backup camera sometimes work sometimes glitches.

My airbag light suddenly came on this morning and my light blinking off for the airbag was blinking my whole trip to work. I've also had my catalytic converter replaced and my check engine warning still says their is an issue when everything has been replaced lights on my mirrors also don't cut on when someone is in my blind spots the symbol is there but they don't light up my back up camera has not worked correctly since a few weeks after I got the car. I have taken it to the dealership and their stating it happens in these vehicles sometimes.

I went to pick my daughter up from school as usual and the brakes would not work when I tried to stop in the turn loop. It caused me to crash the side of the car into a cement light post.

When I got into my car today, the “airbag” symbol near the speedometer as well as the dash kept flickering off and on. My trip was 20 minutes and the illumination flickered off/ on the entire time. My car is steadily becoming increasingly unsafe to drive.

After a rear-end collision, my passenger front air bag light comes on intermittently. Because of this, I don't know if the air bag was compromised or if the collision caused a faulty sensor. I can't get an answer from Ford.

The airbag sensor keeps popping on and off in the car… also, the car is not shifting properly between gears… there is supreme hesitation involved. . There is so much noise coming from the steering column and/or the airbag system. . Just out of the blue.

Air bags failed to deploy during a roll over accident. Vehicle is in the possession on state farm insurance.

On August the 17th, 2022 at approximately 1 pm our vehicle was rear-ended and was pushed into another vehicle from a dead stop in a traffic jam by a chevy van traveling between 45 and 50 mph until impact. Not a single airbag had deployed during or after the accident.

The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving 30 mph, the brake pedal was depressed and went to the floorboard. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who informed the contact that the brake hydraulic line needed to be replaced. The contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 23v162000 (service brakes, hydraulic). Additionally, the air bag warning light was illuminated intermittently. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

Seatbelt and airbag lights won’t go off, constantly dinging. Code reader says there’s an issue with my restraint system.

Car has intermittent electrical issue that causes ecus to reboot often times disabling safety systems such as abs, airbags, collision avoidance, adaptive cruise control, power steering and power brakes. Ford dealer believes that it's a short in a wiring harness. They claim this issue has been seen in several vehicles like mine. Ford was able to reproduce the problem and recommends replacement of a wiring harness ($4k). To date, I have not had an accident, but do not feel safe driving the vehicle if the airbags and other safety systems become inoperable. Yes, all of the dashboard lights come on when this issue occurs - technician states that the whole computer system gets taken down. That's very uncomfortable when you are traveling at highway speed and no longer have safety system. Steering and braking do get impacted but are not inoperable. I can provide videos of the dashboard when these events occur.

The airbag comes on when car is started and stays on. Even while driving.

I was driving down the highway and the front airbag malfunction light came on. It was rainy and roads were wet when it came on.

While in motion the abs light, traction on/off, and hill assist is not available is lit up. Also, the speedometer is sporadic. Haven't had any work done recently so that isn't the cause.

When pushing the start button, the car struggles to start. The battery was checked and no problems were found. Sometimes the car does not detect when the drivers seatbelt is not on while driving or sitting still. The beeping sounds the car typically makes when backing, alerting the driver is a completely different sound now. Other beeping noises are also different sounds and pitches. The engine light turns on and off. Faint scratching noise under the hood. Windows will go down by themselves.

My airbag in my steering wheel is popped up and the sync system for my radio keeps disconnecting and just will not connect at all. Did a factory reset witch solved the problem for only a couple days and went back to not working again.

I am informed by Ford, that they do not have them to repair the parts? the car steers incorrectly, pulls to the side. Was happening on highway as well as city driving, and I-95.

I was parking backing up when the horn went on the first time. I thought that I might have touched the horn sign accidentally. Driving away from work the same problem happened again the same day, horn went on blaring loud again but this time hands was well positioned on the wheel. When making turn left or right horn would sound out loud again. When car is parked outside and the temperature is high horn would sound on and off. It happened also while car was in motion in the traffic blaring so loud on and off to cause fear and anxiety. The horn would go on and off even park in the driveway at night and during the day causing nuisance in community. Took car to the dealership at the services department after hearing the horn loud blaring(sd) decided to disable it until they checked the problem. The diagnostic reveled a faulty electrical wiring affecting the ignition and air bag. Been having this issue two weeks before memorial weekend may 2019, issue occurring up to this moment.

On going! dealership here in florida states okay? stearing is a problematic , electrical systems need to be checked, turning needs to checked. They have my car listed as a hybrid? it is not. Multiple complaints.

I have received a settlement form as well as for this lease Fusion and my first one as well. I it not acting correct! gas smell , sterrng, horn weak, took to dealership at woodbridge with my friend while I am not in fla . For the short while the previous car red 2015 was replaced at purvis Ford in fredricksburg, va. When I was here last time in 2015. It was ready to blow!.

I still haven't had my air bag replaced by our local Ford dealer. I received a notification earlier this year that it would be replaced before the year is up. So far, I have heard nothing.

Takata recall- I had on previous Ford Fusion. Tires, stability, wipers, ripped into I just bought two new tires August 2018. The car is under 9,000. Miles! the red one previous was 10,ooo, miles when I had to turn in lease, and pressured by a salesman. Plus they put on extra packages, and when I called, I said take it off, etc. . . They did not! I had trouble turning car at times(both) they have run off the road because of tires and other things. It was highway driving. Always.

The air bag will not go off.

On Saturday Mar 31,2018 on my way home from work I was going through a green light on a city street and hit a car that failed to stop. The front end of car hit the right side of the other car. None of my airbags deployed and my car has been totaled due to massive front end damage.

Upon entering an intersection,the signal light was green and my car was stuck by a car that ran the red light. My car was hit on the front passenger side and then the other car slammed into my car again.

Upon deployment the airbag cover spilt down the middle and did not fully deploy during impact with another vehicle. This occurred on the highway, I was cut off and the other vehicle came to a full hard stop in front of me, despite applying maximum breaking force, I had no distance to stop and rear ended the other vehicle.

"takata recall" I was informed of the recall of the airbags on my vehicle, by letter, July, 2016. Since that time, I have contacted my local dealership for a replacement part, to no avail. There are no parts that have been made to replace the defective ones in my vehicle, and the company, as you know, is bankrupt. This is my only vehicle, and I am a single, disabled, low income (social security disability) woman, who has her 18 year old son living with me, and he also relies on this vehicle for rides to and from class of a week, as he does not have his own vehicle nor a license as of yet. Needless to say, it makes me and my son, both, very anxious to ride in this vehicle with the awareness that it could kill us if someone hit us or the airbags deployed due to this fault of the manufacturer parts. What can be done to ensure our safety? thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Takata recall - wish to have the bags replaced.

My friend aron was having an emergency when woke up at 4:00am to come to his help. After waking up with a redbull ,I was then heading to the house at wich aron lives . I was unfortunately an to my surprise . Lost complete control of my 2016 Ford Fusion the steering wheel locked. As did the tires . And to my horrible experience of this car in motion then accelerated to 40 miles an hour . I was completely helpless as to redirect the car in motion to a safe path . I remember the Fusion was airborne after I was off the road hitting a ditch . The Ford flipped upside down. I sustained head injuries and back an as well. My arm was cutt up bad. Im now living with these scars for the rest of my life.
