Owner of vehicle was driving home from school in manhattan. He proceeded onto the 59th street bridge ramp when vehicle lost power and shut off. . He then put the vehicle in park and restarted. . Vehicle was jacked up the next day and fluid appeared to be leaking from between the seams of the the transmission casings, as well as from the front pan cover. Grey rtv silicone was present around the pan cover and flaked off with little effort. Vehicle was last serviced at crown Ford lynbrook after many complaints and no resolution from Ford service on jamaica avenue. Crown Ford claimed they inspected the transmission, found no fault other than being low on fluid. Fluid was drained out for measuring and inspecting. . Over 7 quarts drained out and the fluid was very thin, and black with specs in the fluid. . A technician friend scanned for codes and generic code shift solenoid d was pulled. .
