While driving veh flashes "stop slowly check charging system" then begins to slow down by itself or wont even move if you are already stopped/parked. This has happened while driving on the interstate barely having time to pull over and stop out of traffic before it cuts off!!! it also happened while waiting at a red light and would not move had to be towed home! this is very dangerous especially on highways and interstates that may not have a shoulder or median to pull over at that time due to crossing a bridge etc.

While driving between 40-50 mph the vehicle shows an error stating "stop safely now" and "check battery charging system. " complete loss of acceleration at this point, so going uphill is very dangerous. Stopping the car, turning it off and restarting the vehicle can manage 1-2 miles before the error happens again. Ford dealership said id was a control circuit overlay or harness, cost of repair is $400. 00. Dealership claims this is a regular wear item and not due to driver error.

Sync in-dash control system is severely delayed or unresponsive. Entire system shuts of randomly, gps location is inaccurate, system switches from day to night mode causing the screen to be hard to see. Issues occur at all times.

I took my vehicle to spradley Ford dealership for service regarding recalls 16s42 and 18s24. The dealership reports resolving 16s42 by servicing the seat belt tensioners. The dealership refused to address recall 18s24 because I did not have the charging cable inside the vehicle. I spoke with service staff on 3 occasions prior to picking up my vehicle and at no time did they request or inform me to bring the cable to the dealership. The dealership made no effort to replace the cord, thermistor or trunk battery housing as required.

The rear view backup camera fails. I have taken this vehicle to multiple dealerships totaling at least a dozen times for repair. The dealer has repeatedly been unable to repair this problem.

Car warning light please pull over safely and then car looses all power has happed a total of 19 times in 4 months. Stopped me in middle if intersection today. Twice. Happens when driving or starting to drive from still position.

Car was sitting in my driveway and the back lithium ion battery in trunk had a short and started on fire while car was off and not plugged in. Burnt through trunk and into back seat and both speakers are gone. Car has heavy smoke damage and all windows are bad. Found battery harness with completely melted where it plugs into battery.

Receive error "temporarily lost communication with the climate system". Unable to operate the climate system, windows, door locks and radio volume. This occurs frequently and is a safety concern, especially in hot weather unable to operate windows or ac.

The vehicle was in motion in a city street. The gas pedal stopped working and seemed to be accelerating itself. Brakes continued to function properly.

Driving on interstate 77 in ohio traveling the speed limit of 70 mph, the power steering fault light came on and the car was almost impossible to steer. The advanc trac light came on and low tire pressure light came on. Luckily I got the car off the highway and called tow vehiche.

The blower motor resistor harness has too much power going into it causing several vehicles not only mine to have a melted wire and connector replaced several times and it keeps occurring definitely a fire hazard. It started and January and it still is a problem with my car after replacing several times.

Takata recall-dropped my 2010 fusion off on Wednesday after 4 months waiting for the part to be in. Asked to have an oil change done while it was being worked on. I go to pick it up Saturday and drop off the rental only to find my vehicle with no power steering, power steering fault, service advance trac system. I recently herniated a disc in my back and do not possess the strength to turn the wheel, rendering the vehicle unsafe to drive without power steering. My fusion never left the service bay. I get a call Monday from sheehy Ford service, telling me that I need a new rack and pinion to the tune of $2400, due to the electronic steering being an enclosed unserviceable system. Sheehy refused to acknowledge that they caused this failure during the course of my oil change and recall replacement of the passenger side airbag. They quoted me $1049 for an after market rack and offered to pay for it if I could prove that it was something they did to cause the failure. After hours of speaking to the service manager and assistant manager they told me that they stopped paying for the rental when I did not drive my unsafe vehicle home. By Wednesday waiting for a return phone call about any other options and calling Ford because there was a recall for the power steering on 11s and 12s, as suggested by the service manager, I told them to go ahead an order the after market rack. Thursday they call to tell me its ready. As I run home to grab the keys for the rental, leaving it in front of my house with my phone, computer, and other items still inside, Ford had sent a tow truck to repossess the rental. County police being called, rental towed, cab to the dealer, pay the $1049, and end up getting charged over $300 by the rental company since Ford refused to pay while the power steering issue was being argued. Unsafe and absolutely appalling by sheehy and Ford.

According to Ford car needs hcu unit and ecu. Just had the car fully serviced and new brakes all around. Tires are new as well. Ford wants $3000 to replace the hcu and ecu and drain the brake fluid. I think I'm gonna have to scrap the car.

While using full accessory power with the engine off, the car will allow you to change the gear shift dial to drive. The car is able to move in this position, but the gas pedal will not work. The �ready to drive� light is. Not on.

Out of no where my power steering light came on and it is very hard to turn.

While driving in the passing lane on the highway on my way home from work I began to smell smoke. I initially thought it was someone else's brakes until I began to see smoke coming through the interior panels of my vehicles. Luckily, the vehicles near me noticed the smoke and slowed down so that I could get off the road. Once pulled over I went to the front of the car and felt the hood but it did not feel hot but when I looked up I noticed the smoke was coming form the trunk. I went to the back of the car, opened the trunk and noticed flames coming from the car battery compartment (not the hybrid battery). I tried to smother the fire with a sheet but was unsuccessful. I realized the flames were moving down the side toward the fuel tank and stepped away to call 911. Within minutes the fire spread through my trunk to the backseat of the vehicle and completely engulfed the vehicle.

The car has stopped charging and will not operate in hybrid mode. Ford and the dealer have the parts are back order for over 4 months. The dealer is stating that they have 4 other vehicles with the same exact issue. This seems to be an emerging failure point on these cars.

I purchased my vehicle 6/6/2018 as of today 82/2018 my air conditioning has stopped working 6 times. The wires under the dash are extremely hot and there's a "burning smell" coming through my vents. Tonight every time I shut the car off and turned it back on the air conditioning didn't come on. The wires that are connected to the blower box apparently have a short on it. It goes off while in motion and stopped. This alone isn't safe for an individual but highly unsafe for children that ride in the vehicle.

Seat: heating element in leather seat went bad. Temp was greater than 150 degrees. Air conditioning: blower motor fan control went out 2 times within 600 miles (82,100 and 82,600).

The display in the dashboard shows the message "temporary lost communication with the climate system", and locks the windows, the vents stop working, no air is coming through. In addition, the cross traffic warning stops working, as well.

The 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid keeps going into "limp" mode even on the highway. This causes power loss and loss of acceleration. This can be at anytime. This keeps happening more and more and Ford does not know the cause or resolve.

The charge melted, almost caught fire the electrical 110 vlt gfi rept in my garage. I created a case with Ford and they say too bad car is out of warranty. My wife and 20 month old son were in the house when the rept started smoking. I could have lost my family and my home. Ford says no issues and they cannot help or do anything. If you go to myford mobile and type in fusion melting repts to pages of owners with the same problem have made comments. The car is at big valley Ford in stockton and they cannot figure out why it has melted a gfi rept. The are is unsafe and poses a life threatening risk to my family if I plug it in to charge, the entire point of purchasing this car. Greg stitt (209)612-5960.

I bought the car about 2 weeks ago and the 12v battery was low and when you turn the car off it put the car in sleep mode disabling the remote function (remote lock/unlock starting and charge state) on the app. I just assumed it was from sitting on the dealer lot for a few months and brushed it off but two weeks later after charging the car twice a day it still happens if I just run on electric for my commute. It appears the car has a power drain somewhere I have made an appointment at the dealer to see if this can be resolved and how much it will cost since I am out of the bumper to bumper warranty (41000 miles).

While driving, the car's dashboard indicates a powertrain fault (via amber wrench symbol). Car seems to go into a limp home mode that has symptoms of grabby brakes and lower fuel economy. Car has also stalled out while driving, losing all power, and requires the operator to fully stop, shift the car into park, turn off the car, turn the car back on, and then shift back into drive before the operator can continue driving. Extremely unsafe because the vehicle rapidly decelerates and there is no warning prior to the car stalling. The powertrain warning light originally occurred on 15jun2018 while leaving work and travelling at about 25 mph when the light turned on. It stayed lit the entire drive home (about 50 miles) and was steady for speeds ranging from stopped to about 70 mph. During this episode, the car did not stall. On 18jun2018, while leaving work, the car once again illuminated the powertrain warning, but then immediately stalled and I drifted to the edge of the road. I stopped the car, put it in park, turned the car off and back on, and then put it back into drive, where it functioned, but with the powertrain warning illuminated. I drove home at speeds ranging from stopped to 70 mph, but when I exited the highway at my city, on the surface streets the car stalled out 2 more times with no warning, leaving me to put on my hazards and quickly try to restart the motor. Car had just under 5000 miles on the odometer when this first occurred. Car is a Ford Fusion Hybrid 2018.

The vehicle �temporarily lost communication with the climate control � basically the touchscreen freezes and none of the buttons on the center console work. Unable to turn on heat or air conditioning. The windows lock and can not be rolled up or down. This has happened while driving down free way and also parked at start up. This occurrence has happened more than once. Sometimes the car will some how go back to normal after a day. The latest the vehicle has lost communication for 4 days. They say you can't leave a kid in the car while you go into a store, but Ford can make it where I can't roll my widows down while driving and I have 2 kids in the car and it's 90 out. Even more when it's winter time and the widow fogs up while driving there is no way to clear windows. To me it is a safety hazard to not be able to at least roll your windows down or up because an issue happens with the vehicle communication.

Fails to start. Battery is completely dead. Had into service department 6 times, have failed to correct problem. Bought new in may 2017.

The while driving the throttle body fails stalling the car. The Ford Fusion Hybrid isn't covered in the extended warranty even though they use the exact same throttle body as the regular Ford fusion.

We were driving in the freeway the car went from 80 to zero it would not go. It stalled in the fast lane almost causing a chain reaction. The vechile has been �fixed� over 7 times. The dealership cannot figure out what's wrong. Many people online have had the same problems some people have died from accidents. This is very unsafe . Ford says they have recalled some vechiles but not all. They even suggested because it was older. My mother has a 2017 hybrid and is experiencing the same thing as me. The car is not safe at all! if someone doesnt make the fix it many people could be hurt.
