Side/window Air Bag problems of the 2010 Ford Mustang

Takata recall, my airbag is lit on my dash board and then inreived a letter saying their has been a recall on the drivers and passanger side airbag.

Takata recall. My local authorized Ford dealer has been unable to replace my passenger-side airbag because replacement parts are unavailable. My driver-side airbag has been replaced. The dealer is unable to tell me when parts will available or even provide an estimated time when parts will be available. I have made several attempts since I received the original recall notices in 2015 (driver-side) and 2016 (passenger-side). My last contact with dealer was Jan 16, 2018. My repairs are not being accomplished in a timely manner.

The passenger side airbag was recalled couple of years ago but Ford is yet to provide a recommendation to replace the airbag.

Takata recall received a notification for replacement of my passenger-side airbags many months ago, saying that I would be notified when the part was available. I never received a notification of availability, so I just called the dealership and was informed that Ford *still* hasn't released this product for replacement, so I am still unable to get my passenger side airbag replaced.

Takata recall. I have had my driver side airbag replaced, but cannot get the passenger side airbag resplaced because the dealer informed me they are unable to get the part. This has been going on for over a year, and I am extremely concerned about transporting passengers in my car because of this.

Takata recall I have had this recall for my passenger side airbag since July 2016 and I have been to the dealer several times to have this issue resolved and they tell me there is no resolution at this time.

I have received numerous notices about this recall,however I can not get a Ford dealer to replace the passenger side air bag, there always backed up or the do not have the parts, this has been going on for over a year, I was told not to drive the car by Ford motor CO. Until it was repaired, yet there is always an excuse why they cant get to it. This car has sat in my garage long enough, I want it fixed.

I was given a notice that I had both the passenger and driver side air bag recalls that needed to be fixed. This was back in the fall of 2016 and they installed a temporary solution that doesn't bring any ease to me or my passengers. I am still waiting for notification that there has been a part created or any notification that my car will be fixed any time soon.

I received a recall notice for the passenger side airbag inflater on June 1, 2016. Literally 1 week after I had waited 1 full calendar year for parts to be available for the drivers side airbag initiator. It is now nearly 18 months since the passenger side airbag. During this time, I cannot sell to trade in my vehicle because the vehicle has a safety issue which in know to cause injury and even death. When will parts be viable for the passenger side airbag initiator? what compensation will Ford be offering owners of vehicle which cannot be sold or traded in for a reasonable value?.

Takata recall -- I have been waiting for over a year and a half now to have my known passenger side airbag defect repaired and replaced. I received a letter saying that I would be notified when I am eligible to have my defective airbag fixed. However, there has never ben any follow-up from Ford, and every time I have brought my car in to a certified dealership to have my faulty airbag replaced, I have been outright refused service. Time and again, I have been told, "just keep waiting. " this has gone on for 18 months. Meanwhile, I have a defective airbag in my car, and Ford refuses to fix it!.

Takata recall: I received written notice of the takata airbag recall in July of 2015 for the driver's side airbag. According to the written notice, no action was required on my part and I would be notified when parts became available. In March of 2016, I received written notice that my Subaru also had a takata airbag recall for the passenger's side airbag. The written notice said no one should use the front passenger seat until the problem was fixed. Curiously, no such warning was given for my Ford Mustang. I assume it is because the vehicle would have to be parked until it was fixed. It is now April 2016, I e-mailed Ford yesterday as I have not received notice that parts are available to fix my vehicle. Ford responded that the parts are still not available 9 months later!!! however, the passenger side airbag in my Subaru was fixed yesterday. This is unacceptable that parts are still not available 9 months later. I do not have the luxury of sidelining my Ford Mustang until the parts are received as my wife uses the Subaru daily so I'm driving a vehicle that may kill me if I'm involved in an accident. Does this mean anything to anyone or am I wasting my time writing this?.

'takata recall' I have been trying to get the passenger side takata recalled airbags replaced for the past two years now. I have been calling the local Ford dealerships and they all keep telling me that they have no new update for me and can not replace my passenger side airbags. I received a notice now from tk holdings that takata is filing bankruptsy and I need to get my airbags replaced now. I have called Ford headquarters and Ford dealerships and they continue to refuse to replace my passenger side airbags. It has been over two years since I received the letter from Ford saying they will replace my airbags. This is very frustrating because of the safety concern and Ford keeps dismissing my calls with no date as to when I can get this fixed. I want to file this formal complaint and have this corrected. Over two years waiting to get a safety feature resolved is unacceptable. I hope this office does not give me the run around as well.

The driver side airbag deployed when the vehicle came to a hard stop.

Bought a 2010 Mustang gt500 convertible on Feb 18 2010. Since then I have had two of the same issues with problems shifting the transmission to second gear and fifth gear. It is in the shop now for the second time trying to fix this problem. Also, in March, my vehicle was struck by a car from the rear with no airbag deployment. The car was in the Ford service shop getting the transmission checked before the work was done on the car to fix the rear bumper. (the transmission had an issue before the wreck). On July 24 around 930 pm my passenger seat airbag deployed on my passenger with 0 impact to the vehicle. The vehicle was then brought to the service to have the tranny checked for the second time and I mentioned this airbag problem at the time I came in for the service appt. ( the night of the incident I had the police file a report and I have a file number for this, after the file was filed, I called and left a message for the dealership stating this happened) . Ford, since has said that to contact my insurance company because there is nothing further they can do. I have an adjuster due to lafayette Ford in fayetteville, nc on the 4th of Aug. I have researched 3 other vehicles with this problem : 2008 Mustang, and 2010 Ford escapes then my 2010 gt500 Mustang shelby. My passenger was injured and is in a sling. She received medical attention via military doctors on ft. Bragg, nc. The passenger was not a relative and is seeking jag's council.

The contact owns a 2010 Ford Mustang gt500. While driving at approximately 5 mph, the front passenger side air bag independently deployed. The vehicle security alarm then sounded, the dashboard lights all illuminated and the seat belt became increasingly tight around the contact. The passenger suffered injury to her right arm as a result of the air bag deploying. There was also damage to the passenger seat. The contact shut off the engine and depressed the brake and accelerator pedal several times in an attempt to reset the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was awaiting a diagnosis of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure and current mileage was 12,800.

The contact owns a 2010 Ford Mustang. The contact was driving approximately 2 mph proceeding to make a left turn when an opposing vehicle crashed into the front driver side door. The contacts head struck the front driver side window which resulted in cuts to the head and eye brow area. The air bag system failed to deploy with the impact. A police report was filed for the incident and the vehicle was completely destroyed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The current and failure mileages were 80. Updated 04/30/10. The consumers husband was pulling out of the driveway, when the accident occurred. Updated 09/02/jb.
