It's known on the forums at the internet the problem that the v6 Mustangs from 2011 and on are having. The v6 Mustang's with automatic transmissions are presenting a problem when coming to a stop or when you push the gas rapidly, the shifting of the car has some kind of lateness response causing when you come to a stop to feel like a bang in the car after you have come to a stop or when you step on the gas the car wont react rapidly. This cars are presenting some kind of problem with some internal parts on the transmission (solenoids) and when you take the cars to the dealerships for repair the employees always says that there is nothing wrong with the cars. Ford is not taking responsibility of this defects on the v6's automatics because they don't want to make a recall on the cars and they know what the cars have. I'm asking for your company to take action on this matter since there are a lot of us out there with this problem and when you take the car to the dealerships is always the same thing. Please check on the forums and see how many of us are presenting this kind of problem. It's time that Ford comes out and assume the responsibility on this matter.
The car began to have intermittent shifting problems about 3-4 months after I bought the car. When slowing down and then accelerating, the car would not shift into gear and then lurch and make a popping noise (first time it did this, I thought someone had bumped my car in traffic). I dismissed it the first few times it happened. Then it began to happen on a more frequent basis, not as bad as the few prior times but more frequently. I took the car to the dealership back in July or August 2011 and was told they could not duplicate the problem. After that I took the car in 3 more times and was told the same thing. Finally this week, I called Ford motor company and now their customer relations department is handling my case. The car has been at the dealership since Tuesday and I was told yesterday they think it is a bad shifting solenoid and have ordered the part. I'm not even confident as this point, if replacing the solenoid is going to fix the problems. I wanted to make a complaint as I know you are investigating Ford Mustangs for the shifting issues. I am concerned as there have been several times I thought I was going to have an accident because the car would not shift properly and accelerate. I believe that the only reason the issues on my car have finally been addressed is because I called Ford directly. It appears according to the information that I have been able to locate on line, Ford may have known about the shifting problems since mid last year but the consumer has been left in the dark about the issue .
Mt82 manual transmission, difficult engagement into all speeds(forward and reverse). Occasionally locked out of 2nd gear, sometimes due to mpg savings solenoid other times not explainable. I believe this transmission is dangerous due to time to needed to find alternative gear and lack of power to wheels could result in a collision, most notably in a merging, crossing or avoidance maneuver. Manufacturer's only documented fix is to replace fluid, which was accomplished and did not change problem.
