1 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Failure Date: 02/03/2017

Takata reall I purchased this car as a used vehicle in Dec. 2014. Shortly after this I found that the vehicle had been recalled. I received the notice in may 2015. The car has not been repaired yet because the part is not available. About a week ago I received a notice from Ford to schedule the repair. I made an appointment for today and took the vehicle in. I was told that the part is not available. I called Ford and was told that the notice was sent by mistake, and that my car will have to wait for the repair. This is very frustrating and I think Ford needs to compensate the owners for the diminished value of the car during the time that it has this dangerous airbag still in the car for almost two years. Volkswagen had to buy back cars that just polluted the air a little. Ford can get away with cars that can kill the owners and have done just that. I am including a scan of the notice that Ford sent me. Cannot sell the car at least not for very much and really should not drive it. At least Honda motor corporation offers loaner cars for their takata airbag problem cars. Ford has absolutely refused to offer loaners for their dangerous vehicles. I am just lucky so far that I have not been in accident that will deploy the dangerous supplemental restraint system using the takata airbag with defective inflator. I also worry that the other airbags in this car will have the same problem.

Takata recall - Ford changed the status of my driver side airbag inflator recall from "remedy not available" to "recall incomplete", implying that parts are now available and it is now my responsibility to have it replaced. But no dealership in my area has any such parts, and cannot even estimate when they may be able to order parts to comply with this recall. I have checked with two Ford dealers in my area (portland oregon) and they cannot help me resolve this. Ford is wrongfully changing the status of this recall for unknown reason(s).

3 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Failure Date: 10/02/2016

Driver airbag recalls as inflator rupture could result in metal fragments striking and seriously injuring me or passengers. Ford dealerships have been saying for a year they haven't received replacement airbags yet. They also will not offer other forms of compensation (e. G. Replacing car or taking airbag out).

4 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Hello, I hope this message finds you well, I would like to express my deep concern and dissatisfaction with my 2014 Ford Mustang. Unfortunately as you are aware the takata driver side air bag inflator recall has immensely hindered my opportunity of selling the vehicle. Ford has not been helpful, due to the recall the value of the vehicle has strongly decreased. They have not relayed substantial information which will essentially fix the recall. "a notice will be sent to you in the mail", I have not received any information in the mail. I've called numerous times and it appears quite frankly Ford does not care about this issue. Ford motor CO has demonstrated a disregard on when the parts will be sent to fix the recall, and or helping me get rid of the vehicle. I have a payoff amount of $18,168. 00, unfortunately for me I've been dealing with this recall for nearly two years. I would greatly appreciate your assistance with Ford motor CO. Thank you and happy holidays. Best regards, jeffrey ventura.

"takata recall" we feel Ford motor CO. And planet Ford are refusing to fix the vehicle in question because of a supposed unavailability of parts. Twelve months is far too long. Two deaths in houston TX. We parked the car. The importance of completing the inflator replacement and going beyond the minimum requirement of a mailed notification. Provide alternative transportation in the form of a loaner or rental vehicle, free of charge, until our vehicle is repaired. We filed a consumer complaint form with ken paxton, attorney general of texas. Contacted the governor, ltg, mr. Poe and mr. Cruz but have had no success. We sent planet Ford a copy of the complaint in a certified letter.

Takata recall - according to the NHTSA. Gov website, "in the subject vehicles, continued exposure to high levels of absolute humidity may cause the driver airbag inflator housing to rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the supplemental front airbags are designed to deploy. " . . . Since this recall was issued on 05/27/2015 and the remedy is not yet available, this problem has not been addressed in a timely manner (2 years next month)! my wife and I are extremely concerned about the safety of our son driving this vehicle (age 18). This is especially true because we live in the houston area and there is a high level of humidity here in this environment. I want Ford to address this issue ASAP!.

8 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2015

Takata recall - in may 2015, my client received a NHTSA recall 15v319 for the airbag and brought her vehicle to a local Ford dealership to comply with the recall notice. At that time, she was advised that the replacement airbag wasn't available and they did not have a time as to when it would be available. On August 22, 2016, my client was driving her 2014 Ford Mustang when she rear-ended a vehicle. Upon impact, the airbag deployed and caused painful lacerations, abrasions and burns related to the inflator's exploding metal fragments. My client took her vehicle to the local Ford dealership for repairs and was told that the airbag was still not available and her vehicle could not be repaired. The local Ford dealership did not offer her alternate vehicle transportation. She had to purchase another vehicle and continue paying on the Mustang enduring 2 car payments and insurance. Her vehicle was repaired in March, 2017.

Takata inflators was notified by Ford in July of 2015 that car was to be recalled when I contacted Ford yesterday, they said they don't know when they will fix the car. . . Maybe in July of 2016 this is dangerous and unacceptable what is being done to protect me and get this recall done?.

10 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Failure Date: 06/30/2014

Takata recall- Ford taking to long to replace. 18 months so far. I believe Ford's emphasis is on new car sales and they are diverting "safer inflators" to new car production ahead of repairs. I further believe NHTSA is helping Ford and other automakers get away with "choosing" an unrealistic option that only hurts consumers and benefits manufacturers like Ford. For 18 months - I've suffered loss of use and loss of value and I blame NHTSA for not acting quicker and allowing Ford to get away with this for an unreasonable amount of time.
