I have a confirmed issue with my son's passenger side airbag. The local dealer woody anderson Ford was not able to schedule repairs until March 17th and would not offer a loaner even for the day of the repair. As a result my son will have to drive an unsafe vehicle for 2 1/2 months until the repairs can be made.

3 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 04/18/2019

Takara recall my daughter was driving on a city street and all of a sudden front and side driver side airbags deployed spontaneously and exploded causing her burns and lacerations. Also caused bruising and pain on her shoulder, pain in neck lowerback and ribcage area. This caused her to rear end another vehicle. The battery completely died after and needed to be jump started by tow company. They also couldn't get the trunk to open. I have a claim with Ford and they did ask me at my cost to deliver car to dealership so they could retrieve the rcm but my insurance will not allow the vehicle to be removed. I did contact my product claim rep and now I am being completely ignored. This is a very dangerous defect that needs to be investigated. Thank you.

5 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 01/17/2017

I have received an "urgent safety recall" notification that the front driver side airbag infiltrator housing may rupture and deply abnormally in the event of a crash which could result in metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death. " I have call Ford and they report, in the face of a warning that this defect might cause death, that parts to repair this are not available until the 2nd qtr 2017. The also tell my the your agency has said it is ok to continue operation the vehicle until parts are available. How can I resonsibly put my wife, children or grand children in the front with this warning extant? what is the point of the notification if there is no apparent urgency to get the defect corrected. Seems to me either it is dangerous or it is not. This is wholly unacceptably.

7 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 02/05/2016

Takata recall- I was in a car accident in which another driver did an illegal uturn in front of me and I t-boned them. The bulk of the damage was on the passenger side. The drivers side airbag deployed with such intensity that it broke my arm and dislocated my elbow. I accumulated of $160k in medical bills that I ultimately had to reimburse my health insurance company because the other drivers insurance was minimal. I did not receive a recall notice until months after the accident. I live in the south where the humidity is great and according to the class action it caused them to deploy with great pressure. I contacted the class action people and they said my VIN was not included in the recall and it clearly is.

8 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 07/27/2015

I am complaining because I received a letter that if I was to get into any crash my drivers side airbag wiill deploy and send out metal particles that will seriously injure me or cause my death. Not to mention hurting a passenger. I called Ford and they said the parts won't be in until the end of the year, possibly. So it could be longer. So everyday I have to drive a death trap knowing if I get in an accident within this time I could die or be seriously injured. I do not like that I have to wait and just hope nothing happens before they do something about this situation. They are putting people's life in danger. I just survied cancer and I'll be damn if I am going to die because of Ford motor CO. I asked them about a loaner car. . . . They said no. They said the car is okay to drive. . . . Well no it isn't. . . . Everyday I worry and at anytime something could happen. I asked if I can get them to deploy the bag until they get the part (I would rather have no airbag (like in the older days), then to have an airbag that could kill me). I am considering going to the news (not sure what they will do). I am sooooo very upset. I just bought this Mustang in Jan this year.

9 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 07/27/2015

On July 27, 2015, we received a recall notice from Ford motor company that our vehicle has a recall regarding the front driver side airbag which could rupture and lead to serious injury or death. It states we will get a letter when the replacement parts are available. We have been waiting for several months and have called the dealer several times to find out why they are not fixing this in a timely fashion. We called on 7-28-15, 10-3-15 and 11-4-15 as well as e-mailed the corporate office to try and get answers. We don't feel safe driving our car and want them to buy it back at what we owe on it since they are not working at getting it fixed in a timely manner.
